Okay real talk though. This is one of those skins where you load in and your teammates start question mark pinging your champion portrait. Not because you’re trolling, but because nobody has seen Ice Toboggan Corki in actual gameplay since maybe season 4. I’ve spotted this skin exactly twice in my Diamond games over the past three seasons. Twice. And both times I had to double-check the loading screen because I genuinely forgot it existed.

What Ice Toboggan Corki actually looks like in game

So here’s the thing about this Legendary. It dropped February 12, 2010. That’s over sixteen years ago. Back then Riot’s definition of a Legendary skin was wildly different from what we expect now. No new recall animation. No new VFX on Q, W, E, or R. Voice lines stay base. What you get is Corki sitting in a bobsled instead of his usual copter, wearing a winter outfit with goggles pushed up on his forehead. Thats basically it.

The bobsled model is honestly kind of charming in a retro way. It replaces the helicopter-plane thing with a sleek toboggan that has little runners on the bottom. Corki’s idle animation has him gripping the sides like he’s about to go down a slope. The auto attack particles are the same base Corki missiles. His Valkyrie W trail looks identical. Phosphorus Bomb, Gatling Gun, Missile Barrage – all unchanged from default.

Not gonna lie, for 1820 RP this is rough by any modern standard. Compare it to something like Corgi Corki or Astronaut Corki at 1350 RP and those Epic skins deliver way more visual changes than this Legendary does. The model swap is clean but you’re paying Legendary price for what amounts to an Epic-level costume change with zero ability work.

(sidebar: I actually own this skin because I rerolled three skin shards back in season 10 and got it permanently. Would I have spent 1820 RP on it? Absolutely not.)

The Winter Sports line and where this fits

Ice Toboggan Corki belongs to the Winter Sports skinline. Same family as stuff like Curling Veigar and the old winter sports batch Riot put out in the early days. The whole line has this goofy Olympic winter games vibe that Riot was experimenting with before they started doing the polished thematic skinlines we see now.

Released February 12, 2010 – pre-season 1 if you can believe it. This was back when the game had maybe 60 champions total. Corki was still a dominant ADC pick in competitive, people were running him mid lane with Trinity Force rush. Different era entirely. The skin fit the casual fun energy Riot was going for at that point. No splash artist credited in the data, which tracks for skins from that period. Riot wasnt exactly documenting their art pipeline back then.

Been playing Corki on and off since season 3 and I think the Winter Sports concept works better on smaller scope skins. Curling Veigar at 520 RP? Perfect. Silly little ice sport skin for cheap. But slapping the Legendary tag and price on a toboggan reskin feels like it belongs to a version of League that doesn’t exist anymore.

Is Ice Toboggan Corki worth 1820 RP?

Might be overthinking it but I genuinely think this is the worst value Legendary in the entire game. Not the worst skin – the model is fine and has personality. But worst value relative to what 1820 RP gets you elsewhere. God Fist Lee Sin at the same price gives you a completely new VO, custom animations on every ability, unique recall, the works. Ice Toboggan Corki gives you a sled.

Legacy vault skin. You cant even buy it normally, it sits in the vault and only shows up during special sales events or you need to roll it from chests. Kinda feels like Riot knows the skin doesn’t hold up because they rarely bring it out. Last time I saw it available was during one of those legacy skin sales around late 2023 I think, maybe early 2024 dont remember exactly.

Here’s my honest take. If you’re a Corki one-trick and you want the flex of running the rarest Corki skin in your ranked games, this has novelty value. Nobody runs it. You will get comments in champion select. Last Tuesday I was watching a friend’s stream and someone locked in Ice Toboggan Corki in a Diamond 2 lobby and chat went wild because they thought it was a troll pick. The skin itself is a conversation starter just by existing.

But if you want an actually good Corki skin that changes the gameplay feel? Astronaut Corki or Corgi Corki are both better investments at lower price points. Arcade Corki hits the retro vibe harder with actual VFX changes. Even Dragonwing Corki at 950 RP delivers a more complete fantasy transformation.

Skip this unless you already main Corki and specifically want the collector’s piece. The toboggan is cute. The price is not. If you happen to roll it from Hextech crafting, keep it for the rarity factor. But spending actual RP on this in 2026 when Corki has six better options in the shop? Can’t recommend it. Collector skin for collector reasons, nothing more.
