UFO Corki

Been playing Corki on and off since season 2 and honestly this skin still catches me off guard when someone locks it in. UFO Corki is one of those skins you almost never see on the Rift. Maybe three times total in my Diamond games over the past few years. Every single time I had to double-take the loading screen.

What UFO Corki actually looks like in game

So the premise is simple. Corki rides a flying saucer instead of his usual copter. Thats it. No new VFX on Q, W, E, or R. Voice lines stay base. No recall animation changes. Standard tier skin through and through.

Not gonna lie, the model swap is clean for how old it is. The UFO has a green tractor beam glow underneath that reads well against most Rift terrain. Corki himself gets a slightly different outfit to match the alien theme, leaning into the Invaders skinline aesthetic. The silhouette change is noticeable enough in lane that your support might ping you wondering what champion you picked.

Could be wrong here but I think the auto attack particles look slightly greener than base? Might just be placebo from staring at the green saucer model for too long during a 40-minute game last Thursday. Either way the gameplay feel is identical to default Corki. You’re still poking with R missiles, still hitting the Package at the same timings, still looking for that mid-game spike around Triforce completion.

The Invaders line and how this skin even exists

UFO Corki dropped January 1, 2010. Pre-season 1. League was barely a thing. Riot gave this skin away for free to players who had accounts registered before a specific date. That promotional origin is why the price reads as Special – it was never sold for RP in the traditional shop.

Part of the Invaders skinline alongside Alien Invader Heimerdinger. The line never really expanded beyond those two skins which is a shame because the concept had legs. (Random aside: an Invaders Rumble skin with a UFO mech would print money and Riot just sitting on it.) The Invaders theme leans into retro sci-fi B-movie vibes, and UFO Corki captures that pretty well for a 2010-era skin.

Sits in the vault now. Loot eligible though, so you could theoretically roll it from Hextech chests. Good luck with that. Season 9 I think or maybe 10, my duo partner rerolled three skin shards and got this one. Been flexing it in bot lane specifically every time we play Corki ADC comps together.

Should you care about UFO Corki?

Real verdict: this is a collector’s piece. Pure flex. If you have it, you run it to show you’ve been around since the early days of League. The skin itself is modest by modern standards. No new particles on your poke, no fancy recall, no updated VO. Just a UFO instead of a plane.

For Corki mains who want actual gameplay-feel upgrades, Astronaut Corki or Corgi Corki deliver way more for your money. But neither of those carries the same energy in the loading screen. UFO Corki tells your lane opponent you were playing this game before they knew what cs meant. Kinda feels like the skin equivalent of a veteran’s badge.

Skip it if you’re shopping for Corki skins actively – you cant buy it anyway. But if it drops from a chest? Keep it. The rarity alone makes it worth the orange essence. Not the best Corki skin for the Rift, but probably the rarest one you’ll ever see in a teamfight.
