Grill Master Braum

First game I played with Grill Master Braum, my ADC typed “nice apron” in all chat before minions even spawned. Thats the energy this skin carries. Braum trades his shield for what looks like a massive grill lid, puts on the dad outfit, and suddenly you’re the most wholesome support in the Rift. Been running this since it dropped early April and I think it might be the funniest Braum skin in the lineup.

What Grill Master Braum actually brings to the table

The VFX rework here is solid for an Epic. His Q throws what I’m pretty sure is a burger patty or some kind of grilled projectile. Honestly not gonna lie, the first time I saw it connect in lane I had to pause and process what just happened. The slow effect has this smoky sizzle to it that reads cleanly against the Rift background.

W dash looks about the same animation-wise but there’s grill smoke trailing behind Braum as he leaps to his ally. Small detail. Matters more than you’d think when you’re peeling for your backline in a teamfight and need that visual clarity on where your support just went.

E is where it gets good. The shield is literally a grill lid. Maybe a smoker door? Either way Braum holds it up and you can see the heat shimmer effect on the VFX when projectiles hit it. Played maybe 30 games with this skin in Diamond last week and the E visuals never got old. His R, the big ult slam, sends out this wave that looks like it’s cracking open a barbecue pit in the ground. Fire and smoke particles everywhere. Not the flashiest ult VFX compared to something like Pool Party Braum’s wave, but it fits the theme perfectly.

The recall animation is the real highlight though. Braum sets up his grill, flips some food, and does this satisfied chef nod. Peak content. (Random aside: I set this as my stream’s “be right back” screen and my chat loved it.) Voice lines stay base, no new VO, which is fine because Braum’s default voice is already S-tier.

The Day Job line and release context

Grill Master Braum dropped April 2, 2025. Part of the Day Job skinline, which is one of Riot’s more casual comedy lines. Kinda feels like they looked at Braum’s personality and said “this guy would absolutely be the neighborhood grill dad” and just ran with it.

No splash artist credited in the data I’ve seen, but whoever handled it captured the vibe. Braum standing proud with tongs in hand, apron on, mustache looking immaculate. The splash reads like a summer cookout invitation.

8 chromas total for this one. Obsidian turns the whole outfit dark, gives Braum that “serious pitmaster at 2 AM competition barbecue” look. Rose Quartz is surprisingly clean, the pink apron works way better than it should on a guy built like a refrigerator. Pearl goes light and airy, almost like a beach cookout variant. Could be wrong here but I think Sapphire might be the sleeper pick, the blue and white combo reads like a classic diner uniform. Rest of them are solid but those four stood out across my games this season.

Is 1350 RP fair for Grill Master Braum?

Real verdict: 1350 RP feels fair for what you get. New VFX on all abilities, a banger recall animation, and the thematic commitment is there. This Epic tier skin doesnt try to be something it’s not. It’s a comedy skin that actually lands its jokes without being obnoxious about it.

Shop has it right now, permanent availability. If you’re comparing against Pool Party Braum or Sugar Rush Braum in the comedy lane, I think Grill Master edges them out on personality. Pool Party is the safe pick, been around longer, but Grill Master Braum has fresher VFX and the recall alone is worth the lock-in.

For Braum mains specifically, this is an easy add to the rotation. Maybe not “only Braum skin you’ll ever need” territory since Dragonslayer exists for the serious games, but for normals, for ARAM, for those ranked games at 1 AM where you just want to vibe in bot lane and peel for your ADC while looking like the world’s strongest chef? Top pick for Braum mains. Worth 1350 RP if you main Braum, and honestly worth it even if you just pull him out for support autofill. Been daily driving this for three weeks and I dont see myself switching back anytime soon.
