Armored Titan Nasus

First time I saw Armored Titan Nasus load in on the enemy team, I thought someone modded a Pacific Rim Jaeger into the Rift. Big mech suit, glowing core, the whole sci-fi package. Been running this skin since it dropped in late season 12 and honestly the silhouette alone makes Nasus feel like a different champion. Not sure if it’s just me but something about piloting a giant mech dog makes stacking Q way more satisfying.

What the Steel Valkyries treatment actually does

The model is a full rework of Nasus into this armored exosuit. Massive shoulder plates, a staff that looks more like some kind of energy halberd, and a visor that glows when you ult. The base color scheme runs dark gunmetal with orange-red energy lines through the armor plating. Clean design. Riot’s art team went harder on this one than they needed to for an Epic tier skin.

VFX got the full treatment. Q slam has this heavy metallic impact with energy radiating outward, feels weighty in a way base Nasus never did. W casts a targeting reticle-style slow field, very much in the mech fantasy. E drops what looks like an orbital strike zone instead of the usual spirit fire circle. Then the ult transformation is where it really pays off – the armor plates shift and expand, the energy core goes full brightness, and Nasus bulks up into this absolute unit. Played maybe 40 games with this skin the first week it came out and the ult pop never got old.

Recall animation is solid too. Nasus plants his staff and gets some kind of mech diagnostic running across his armor. Voice lines stay base, no new VO. Kinda feels like a missed opportunity given the mech theme but at 1350 RP thats expected. The SFX carry enough weight to compensate.

Steel Valkyries and the release window

Armored Titan Nasus dropped August 25, 2022. Part of the Steel Valkyries skinline, which is Riot’s military sci-fi universe. The line includes champions like Camille and Janna in the same mech-pilot aesthetic. Nasus fits it naturally because the dude is already this towering figure on the Rift, so scaling him up into a titan frame just works.

Jiunn Kuo and West Studio handled the splash. They captured this cinematic battlefield angle where Nasus is mid-stride through some kind of warzone. Good composition. (Random aside: I used the splash as my Discord banner for like three months straight before switching it out.)

9 chromas total if you want variety. Tanzanite is my personal pick, the deep purple energy lines against dark armor read really well in teamfights. Ace has this pink and black combo that goes harder than you’d expect. Granite turns the whole thing into a stealth bomber vibe, muted tones, very clean. The rest are fine but those three stand out. Still in the shop, permanent availability.

Should you buy Armored Titan Nasus?

Real verdict: if you play Nasus at all, this is competing for best skin in his catalog. 1350 RP feels fair for what you get. The VFX package is above average for an Epic, the model is distinct enough that you actually feel different in lane, and the ult transformation has genuine impact. Been spamming this in Diamond on my Nasus games all through season 13 and into 14.

Could be wrong here but I think this edges out Battlecast and Space Groove for the top Nasus spot. Those are good skins but Armored Titan Nasus just has a more cohesive vision. The Steel Valkyries theme gives Nasus something he doesnt usually get – a power fantasy that matches his late-game scaling. You’re literally becoming a bigger mech as you stack. Skip it if you’re not a Nasus player, but for mains and one-tricks this is the one. S-tier Nasus cosmetic, no question. Worth 1350 RP if you main Nasus.
