First time I saw Prestige Cyber Halo Janna load into my game, I thought someone modded their client. The gold and white color scheme on a Janna skin shouldnt work this well, but it does. Been a Janna player on and off since season 5, and this Mythic variant caught me off guard when it dropped in August 2022. Not gonna lie, the prestige treatment here feels earned.
How Prestige Cyber Halo Janna actually looks in game
So the base Cyber Halo already goes hard with that mech-angel aesthetic. The Prestige version takes it and dips the whole thing in white gold. Clean. The armor plating shifts from the original blue-purple palette into this warm champagne gold with pearl white accents. Janna’s model reads completely different on the Rift because of it.
VFX got the prestige pass too. Her Q tornado picks up these golden particle trails that look distinct from the base version. Played maybe 40 games with this skin last season in Diamond and the tornado is noticeably easier to track for me as the Janna player, which matters when you’re threading it through a teamfight. Could be wrong here but I think the hitbox visual actually matches better than base Cyber Halo.
W poke leaves a gold streak. Simple change – huge impact on how satisfying it feels to harass in lane. The E shield wraps your ADC in this warm golden barrier that honestly looks more expensive than some Legendary skins manage. Three things stood out when I first locked in this skin: the shield VFX, the recall animation, and how the model catches light on Summoner’s Rift.
R is where the prestige flex really shows. Janna’s ult creates this radiating gold pulse that fills the area. In a chaotic teamfight around dragon pit last month, my midlaner actually typed “that ult looks insane” in chat. The heal ticks have golden sparkles. Feels premium.
The recall animation keeps the Cyber Halo mechanical wings deployment but with the prestige gold treatment. Janna assembles her mech halo piece by piece, all in that signature white-gold. Voice lines stay base, no new VO on this one. Standard for a Mythic prestige variant.
Steel Valkyries and the prestige grind
Steel Valkyries is one of Riot’s sci-fi skinlines that leans into the mecha-warrior fantasy. Janna fits it naturally because her floaty aesthetic translates well into the hovering mech angel concept. The prestige edition released August 25, 2022, right in the middle of season 12.
Huyy Nguyen and West Studio handled the splash art. They cooked. The splash captures Janna mid-flight with those golden mechanical wings spread wide, and the composition draws your eye straight to the halo above her head. Its one of the better prestige splash pieces in the game, period. Most prestige splashes just recolor the base and call it a day. This one has genuine presence.
Being a Mythic tier skin, Prestige Cyber Halo Janna comes at a special price point. You’re not buying this with straight RP from the shop. Available through the Mythic Essence system, which means you either grind events or get lucky with drops. (Random aside: I had to burn through two full event passes to get enough ME for this, worth it though.) The availability is permanent in the Mythic shop rotation, so no rush if you’re saving up.
No chromas on this one. Makes sense since the prestige IS the chroma, basically. The whole point is the gold recolor with enhanced effects.
Who should actually get this skin
Real talk though. If you main Janna and you play enough to accumulate Mythic Essence, this is a no-brainer pickup. Top pick for Janna mains who want something that stands out in the loading screen. The Steel Valkyries line already gave Janna one of her best skins with the base Cyber Halo, and the prestige variant elevates it.
Kinda feels like this skin performs better in certain comps too. When you’re playing peel support in a protect-the-ADC comp, the golden shield VFX on your carry just hits different. Had a game last Tuesday around midnight where my Jinx and I ran this back in duo queue and she said the shield made her feel “unkillable.” Placebo? Sure. But vibes matter in solo queue.
Compared to other Janna skins, Prestige Cyber Halo Janna sits comfortably in the top three. Sacred Sword and Star Guardian are the usual competition, but this prestige variant brings a modern VFX quality that those older skins cant match. The gold aesthetic is polarizing though. Some people in my games think it looks clean, others say it’s too flashy. Might be overthinking it but I lean toward “the flashier the better” on enchanter supports since you’re mostly watching your carries anyway.
Been daily driving this skin on Janna since I unlocked it season 13. Skip it if you only play Janna occasionally. But if she’s in your top 3 supports and you have the Mythic Essence sitting there, Prestige Cyber Halo Janna is the Janna skin if you can only own one. S-tier cosmetic on a champion who deserves more attention than she gets in the current engage support meta.
