Snow Day Singed

First game I played with Snow Day Singed was back in late 2013, right around the holidays. Locked it in for a ranked game on a Friday night and my whole team started typing snowman emojis in champ select. Not gonna lie, thats exactly the energy this skin brings. Singed running around the Rift leaving a trail of snow instead of poison just hits different during preseason.

What Snow Day Singed actually changes

So at 975 RP this is a Standard tier skin, which means you’re not getting a full legendary overhaul or anything. But Riot put in solid work here. The poison trail turns into this powdery snow cloud that spreads behind Singed as you proxy farm or run circles around the enemy jungle. Looks clean. The Q particles specifically read well against most Summoner’s Rift terrain, which matters when you’re trying to zone people in teamfights.

The recall animation is a nice touch. Singed builds a little snowman. Simple change – huge impact on the personality of the skin. Been running this in my Diamond games during winter months and it never gets old watching it after a successful proxy clear top side.

Mega Adhesive gets a winter treatment too, the W pool looks like packed ice on the ground. Fling doesn’t change dramatically but the overall model sells it. Singed is wearing a full snow gear outfit with goggles pushed up on his forehead, carrying what looks like a snowblower instead of his usual shield. Voice lines stay base, no new VO, but honestly for a 975 skin from 2013 that’s expected.

Could be wrong here but I think the auto attack feels slightly different with the snowblower model. Probably just placebo from the visual change but I swear the animation reads a bit smoother. (Random aside: my duo partner refuses to play with me when I use this skin because he says the snow trail gives him a headache. His problem not mine.)

The Snow Day line and when this dropped

Snow Day Singed released December 19, 2013. Right in the middle of the holiday patch cycle. The Snow Day skinline is one of Riot’s recurring winter themes, and Singed fits it naturally. You’ve got Snow Day Malzahar, Snow Day Bard, Snow Day Gnar in the same line. Singed might be the most thematically perfect one though because his whole kit revolves around leaving stuff on the ground behind him. Snow trail instead of poison trail. It writes itself.

No chromas on this one. Legacy vault skin so you cant just grab it whenever you want. Gotta wait for the vault rotation or get lucky with Hextech crafting. I think I’ve seen maybe two other Snow Day Singed players in my games all of season 14. Rare pick on a rare skin for a rare champion. Triple threat of never seeing it in your lobby.

Should you grab Snow Day Singed?

Real verdict: if you main Singed and the vault opens up, 975 RP is fair for what you get. The VFX changes on Q alone justify it over base. You’re not getting Beekeeper Singed levels of production value obviously, but Snow Day has charm that some of the flashier skins dont match. Feels like a skin made by someone who actually plays Singed and understands why proxy farming top lane at 2 AM on a Tuesday is peak League gameplay.

For Singed one-tricks specifically, this slots into your rotation nicely alongside Beekeeper and Astronaut. Not the best Singed skin full stop, but a solid B-tier pick that earns its price. The seasonal flavor means it hits hardest during preseason and winter ranked grinding. Been daily driving it every December for years and keep coming back to it. If you’re climbing on Singed and want something with personality without dropping 1350 or more, Snow Day gets the job done.
