Blood Moon Fiddlesticks

Fiddlesticks is already the most terrifying champion to have materialize from the jungle mid-teamfight. Blood Moon Fiddlesticks just compounds that. Dropped this skin into my rotation the week it launched in April 2024 and barely touched base since. The Blood Moon aesthetic – red lacquer, oni geometry, black void behind the silhouette – fits Fiddle’s kit in a way that feels deliberate rather than retrofitted. Not sure if it’s just me but the ult animation on this skin reads more aggressive than base, which isnt true mechanically, but the VFX sells the illusion completely.

What Blood Moon Fiddlesticks changes in-game

The model redesign does the heavy lifting. Fiddlesticks gets full oni treatment: elongated lantern-limbs in deep red, hollow mask face, robes trailing in the same dark-and-crimson palette the Blood Moon skinline uses on Jhin, Thresh, Aatrox. It lands naturally. Fiddle was already a walking jumpscare before any cosmetic touched him, and this skin gives that horror a mythology to inhabit.

New VFX covers every ability. Q (Terrify) procs with a red spectral flash – tighter and more readable than base. W (Bountiful Harvest) runs the drain channel in crimson particles that pull visually toward Fiddlesticks from the target, and in a chaotic teamfight where you’re peeling for your backline ADC it looks genuinely unsettling. E (Reap) sends a red scythe arc, same geometry as base but the palette makes it pop hard against both the Rift floor and jungle walls.

The R (Crowstorm) is where Blood Moon Fiddlesticks earns its 1350 RP. Eight crows in red-and-black, Blood Moon flash on entry, full chaos. Played maybe 200 games on Fiddlesticks across multiple seasons and that ult visual has not lost impact once. Seen five of these in my Diamond ranked games all of last split and every single time the enemy backline pings defensively the moment they hear the audio cue. Best Fiddlesticks ult skin for pure engage panic. Full stop.

Recall is custom. Short, intentional – Fiddle lifts the lantern, gives the oni bow, dissolves into red smoke. No new VO since this is an Epic tier skin, but Kellen Goff’s base voice pack carries the horror identity without needing an update.

April 2024 release and the Blood Moon skinline

Blood Moon Fiddlesticks released April 18, 2024. Lejia Chan and Kudos Productions put in the work on the splash. (Random aside: this splash is my second monitor wallpaper – the lantern fog against the red sky is exactly the composition a desktop background needs.) The Blood Moon skinline has been running since 2012 and theres 8 chromas available for this one.

Obsidian pulls the skin into near-black territory, basically a shadow version of itself – different energy entirely. Amethyst swaps the reds for deep purple and reads more arcane than horror, which actually fits the mage-jungler playstyle. Ruby is the safe call: richer reds than base, closer to the original but more saturated. The other five are there if you want the full gem spread, nothing standout but nothing bad.

Is Blood Moon Fiddlesticks worth it at 1350 RP?

Honestly not gonna lie, this is one of the stronger entries in Fiddlesticks’ roster right now. Praetorian covers the sci-fi crowd. Risen handles the undead angle. But Blood Moon Fiddlesticks is the one I’d point a new Fiddle main toward first – the skinline fits the champion identity, the VFX lands on every ability, the R is terrifying to proc in a late-game teamfight.

1350 RP feels fair for what you get. Maybe not instant-buy fair if you only lock in Fiddlesticks occasionally, but if you’re spamming jungle in Diamond and the champion is a regular part of your comp, this skin sharpens the whole identity. The Amethyst chroma adds another dimension if you want to diverge from the core red theme. Worth it for Fiddlesticks mains. Hard skip if you’re running Fiddle twice a month as a counterpick.
