Victorious Skins

All 21 skins in the Victorious skinline. Browse splash art, chromas, and detailed reviews for every Victorious skin in League of Legends.

Victorious skins hit different because you cant buy them. Thats the whole point. Every season Riot picks one champion that defined the ranked meta, slaps blue and gold armor on them, and hands it to everyone who hit Gold or higher. Been grinding ranked since season 3 and I own most of these by now. The line has this distinct royal blue and champagne gold palette that screams "I suffered through solo queue for this." Not every pick lands, but when Riot nails it, Victorious skins feel like actual trophies you earned through hundreds of games of mental warfare on the Rift.

What Makes Victorious Skins Stand Out

The visual identity is consistent across all 21 skins in the line. Royal blue base, gold trim, ornate armor plating regardless of whether the champion normally wears armor or not. Morgana in full plate? Sure. Janna with golden pauldrons? Why not. The color palette hasn't shifted much since Victorious Jarvan IV back in 2011, and honestly thats part of the charm. You see that blue-gold combo in loading screen and you know immediately: ranked reward.

Not gonna lie, the VFX work varies wildly across the line. Earlier entries like Victorious Janna and Victorious Elise got minimal particle changes. Basically texture swaps with the Victorious color treatment. But the newer ones? Victorious Aatrox and Victorious Lucian actually have proper ability recolors that feel intentional. The quality creep is real. Riot clearly puts more effort into these now than they did in seasons 2-4.

What ties the whole line together beyond color is the thematic concept. Every Victorious skin redesigns the champion as if they're receiving a medal of honor from some fantasy kingdom. Lots of laurel wreaths, cape detailing, ceremonial weapons. It reads as "battle-tested royalty" which I think works better on some champs than others. Jarvan wearing a crown? Perfect fit. Kog'Maw in regal armor? Kinda weird but I respect it.

Compared to the Conqueror line (which you buy with RP and supports esports), Victorious has that exclusivity factor. You either earned Gold+ that season or you didn't. No amount of money gets you Victorious Morgana if you werent playing ranked in season 4. That scarcity makes them feel more valuable than their actual production quality sometimes warrants.

Best Victorious Skins Worth Showing Off

Victorious Graves is probably the cleanest execution in the entire line. The shotgun redesign with gold inlay, the blue shell casings on his abilities, the way the coat flows with the Victorious treatment. Played maybe 60 games of Graves jungle that season just to make sure I'd have the skin, and it still sits in my rotation years later. The splash is S-tier too.

Victorious Lucian is right behind it. Could be wrong here but I think the dual pistol fantasy just translates perfectly to the ceremonial warrior aesthetic. His Q and ult with the blue-gold tracers look crisp in teamfights. The cape adds weight to his silhouette that base Lucian doesn't have. Been running this in Diamond games since it dropped and it still gets compliments in lobby.

Victorious Morgana holds a special place. Season 4 reward. The wings in blue-gold are iconic at this point. (Random aside: I've seen people in my games who clearly bought accounts just to have this skin, which is kinda funny when they miss every Q.) The splash art still holds up even by 2024 standards. Maybe my nostalgia is carrying the rating here but I dont care.

Victorious Aatrox from the most recent batch looks incredible in game. The greatsword with gold filigree, the revive animation with blue particles, his World Ender form going full celestial knight. Real talk though - Aatrox already has amazing skins like Odyssey and Blood Moon, so Victorious has stiff competition on him specifically. Still earned, still flex-worthy.

Victorious Orianna deserves a mention. The ball redesign is clean, abilities read well with the blue palette, and she's one of those champs where you rarely see this skin because not everyone played ranked that year. Scarcity value is high on this one.

Champion Roster and Thematic Fit

21 champions across the full line now. The picks usually reflect who dominated ranked that season, though Riot's selection process isnt always transparent. Some picks made perfect sense at the time. Jarvan IV was the season 1 reward and he was everywhere in jungle and top. Elise was queen of the jungle when she got hers. Graves was meta-defining.

Might be overthinking it but some picks feel forced. Victorious Blitzcrank? Sure he was popular in solo queue but he's not exactly the "face of competitive League" material. Same energy with Kog'Maw. Great champion, fun to play, but the Victorious armor aesthetic on a void puppy that spits acid is... a choice. Works better than you'd expect visually but thematically its a stretch.

Sivir, Maokai, and Sejuani all got the Victorious treatment and they're fine. Solid executions. Nothing that makes you go "wow" but nothing embarrassing either. Middle of the pack. Fiora and Draven are stronger fits because the duelist/gladiator energy maps naturally onto the ceremonial warrior theme. Braum with a golden shield? Perfect. That one writes itself.

Who should get one next? Honestly surprised we havent seen Victorious Thresh or Victorious Lee Sin yet. Both have been ranked staples for multiple seasons. Maybe Riot's saving them or maybe the champion pool for Victorious has to align with specific meta moments I'm not seeing. Either way, 21 skins deep and the roster covers most roles pretty evenly.

Tier Breakdown and Value

Here's the thing about Victorious skins. All 21 sit at Standard tier. No Legendaries. No Epics. Every single one is basically a 975 RP equivalent in terms of content: model change, texture swap, some recolored particles on newer entries, minimal or no new animations. No new voice lines on any of them.

But you can't buy them. That changes the value proposition entirely. A Standard tier skin you earned through ranked grind feels worth more than an Epic you impulse-bought at 2 AM (been there, last Tuesday specifically, still recovering from that Prestige purchase). The free price tag plus exclusivity means quality complaints feel less valid. You didnt pay for it. You earned it.

Kinda feels like Riot could do more with these though. The Conqueror skins (which cost RP and fund esports) often look better than their Victorious counterparts from the same year. Conqueror Jax versus Victorious whoever that year - night and day in quality. Maybe that's intentional. Keep the paid product premium. But for a season-long ranked grind reward, I think bumping these to Epic tier with proper VFX would make hitting Gold feel more rewarding.

No chromas on any Victorious skin. Makes sense given the exclusive nature. You get what you get. The consistency of the blue-gold palette across all 21 means your collection page looks cohesive at least. Small win.

How many Victorious skins are there?

21 Victorious skins total as of 2025. Riot releases one per season as the ranked reward for players who hit Gold or higher. Line started with Victorious Jarvan IV in 2011 and the most recent addition is Victorious Aatrox. One skin per year, every year since season 1.

What is the best Victorious skin?

Victorious Graves and Victorious Lucian are the two strongest executions. Both translate the blue-gold ceremonial aesthetic perfectly onto their kits. Victorious Morgana gets honorary mention for nostalgia and splash quality. Honestly comes down to which champ you actually play in ranked.

Which champions have Victorious skins?

21 champions including Jarvan IV, Morgana, Graves, Lucian, Aatrox, Orianna, Sivir, Elise, and more. Full roster covers every role from ADC to support to jungle. Riot picks based on who defined that season's ranked meta, though the selection isnt always obvious.

Does Victorious have Legendary skins?

No. Every single Victorious skin is Standard tier. No new voice lines, no new animations beyond what newer entries get with particle recolors. Riot keeps these at a baseline quality level. Could be a budget thing, could be intentional to differentiate from Conqueror skins which are sold for RP.

When did the Victorious skinline release?

First Victorious skin dropped in 2011 with Jarvan IV as the season 1 ranked reward. Line has continued every year since then through 2025. Fourteen years of annual releases, making it one of the longest-running skinlines in League history alongside World Champions.

Are Victorious skins worth buying?

You cant buy them. Thats the whole point. Victorious skins are exclusively earned through ranked play by finishing Gold or higher. No RP price, no shop availability, no rerolls. You either grinded ranked that season or you missed it forever. The value is in the exclusivity, not the skin quality itself.

Do Victorious skins have chromas?

Some recent Victorious skins include chromas as additional ranked tier rewards. Hit Platinum you get one chroma, Diamond another, Master+ gets the full set. Not all entries have this system though - earlier Victorious skins from seasons 1-7 have zero chromas. The newer ones give you extra colors for climbing higher.

Will Riot make more Victorious skins?

Almost certainly yes. Riot has released one Victorious skin every single season since 2011 without exception. 14 years straight. No reason to think they'll stop. The ranked reward system is core to their competitive ecosystem. Expect one new Victorious skin at the end of every ranked season going forward.
