Teemo ARAM Build and Guide
Updated for patch 26.21. Ability details come from Riot’s official game data for this patch; ARAM balance numbers come from the League of Legends Wiki’s champion data.
A Teemo ARAM build is a mushroom build: Malignance for more traps and a burning ground effect, Liandry’s Torment for max Health burn, Nashor’s Tooth for Toxic Shot attacks and Rabadon’s Deathcap, on Sorcerer’s Shoes. One lane and constant fighting make his traps unusually reliable. The catch? On the Howling Abyss his damage drops to 90% while damage taken climbs to 110%, so the scout is even squishier than usual.
Items follow his patch 26.21 abilities (we leave win rates out of it).

How is Teemo changed in ARAM?
| ARAM modifier | Teemo |
|---|---|
| Damage dealt | 90% |
| Damage taken | 110% |
He deals 10% less and takes 10% more. Two nerfs on a fragile champion, honestly. The logic is simple enough: Noxious Trap has a tiny cooldown, and on a single lane every enemy has to walk through the same few paths, so mushrooms that might never be found on Summoner’s Rift get stepped on constantly here. Riot trims the damage to compensate. Is he still annoying? Very.
Why does Teemo work on the Howling Abyss?
His traps need predictable enemy paths, and the Abyss has exactly one. His patch 26.21 kit:
- Guerrilla Warfare (passive): standing still makes him Invisible, and in brush he stays Invisible while moving; coming out of it boosts his Attack Speed briefly.
- Blinding Dart (Q): damage plus a blind on one target. Cooldown 7.
- Move Quick (W): passive Move Speed until he’s hit by a champion or turret, plus an active sprint. Cooldown 14.
- Toxic Shot (E): poison on every attack, dealing damage on impact and each second for 4 seconds. Cooldown 0.
- Noxious Trap (R): a mushroom that bursts into a slowing, poisonous cloud when stepped on, and bounces further if thrown onto another mushroom. Cooldown 0.25.
On the Rift, a mushroom in a random bush might sit untouched for minutes. Here, every enemy walks the same narrow lane, past the same towers, to the same health relics. Mushrooms on those paths get stepped on all game, and each one slows and poisons whoever walks in. Guerrilla Warfare still works in the side brush, too. Thing is, Teemo himself is fragile and slow to fight up close, so he plays from behind his team, poisoning with attacks and layering traps.
What should a Teemo ARAM build focus on?
Ability Power, plus anything that makes Noxious Trap hit harder or come back faster. The traps are his teamfight damage.
Malignance comes first. Scorn gives 20 Ultimate Ability Haste, and since Noxious Trap is his ultimate, that means more mushrooms stored and thrown. Hatefog makes every mushroom that damages a champion burn the ground under them, dealing magic damage over time and reducing Magic Resist. It also brings 90 Ability Power.
Liandry’s Torment is second. Torment burns enemies for 2% of their max Health per second when his abilities damage them, which stacks well with mushroom clouds on tanks. Suffering raises his damage the longer he’s in combat with champions.
Nashor’s Tooth third. Icathian Bite adds magic damage to every attack, on top of Toxic Shot’s poison, and it gives 50% Attack Speed with 80 Ability Power. That makes his basic attacks a real damage source between traps.
Rabadon’s Deathcap closes the build. Magical Opus raises total Ability Power by 30%, which boosts everything: poison, darts and mushrooms. Sorcerer’s Shoes add 12 Magic Penetration.
How do you play Teemo on the Howling Abyss?
- Mushroom the paths, not the open lane. Health relics, tower edges and the brush are where enemies walk.
- Bounce mushrooms off each other to throw them further into the enemy side.
- Blind the marksman. Blinding Dart stops their basic attacks for its duration.
- Stand still in the side brush to go Invisible, then attack for the Attack Speed burst.
- Sprint with Move Quick to escape divers, since he has no dash.
How do no-recall shopping and Mark change the plan?
You only shop after dying, and with 110% damage taken that will happen a few times. Malignance is the first full item; a Mana or Ability Power component on an early death still helps. Teemo has no healing, so the health relics matter (and they’re also great places for mushrooms, since enemies go there too).
Landing the Mark snowball unlocks a dash to the champion it hit. Summoners lock before loading. On Teemo, Mark is a poor fit: dashing a fragile ranged champion into the enemy team usually ends badly. Flash or Ghost suit him much better. For what it’s worth, Ghost plus Move Quick makes him very hard to catch.
Is Teemo a good pick for the Howling Abyss?
He’s decent and very frustrating to play against. The 90% damage dealt and 110% damage taken nerfs hurt, but mushrooms on a single lane get far more value than they do on the Rift. Teams with lots of dive can still reach him easily.
Laning against him on Summoner’s Rift is covered in the Teemo counters guide. Need item numbers? Check the League items database. Prefer outfits (and there are a lot of them)? Head to the Teemo skins page.
Long story short, the Teemo ARAM build is Malignance, Liandry’s Torment, Nashor’s Tooth and Rabadon’s Deathcap on Sorcerer’s Shoes, with mushrooms on every path the enemy walks.
FAQ
What are Teemo’s ARAM modifiers?
Patch 26.21 wiki data lists two: 90% damage dealt and 110% damage taken.
What items should Teemo build in ARAM?
Malignance, Liandry’s Torment, Nashor’s Tooth and Rabadon’s Deathcap, with Sorcerer’s Shoes.
Why Malignance on Teemo?
