Spirit Blossom Evelynn

First time I loaded into a game with Spirit Blossom Evelynn, my duo partner pinged my skin three times in fountain. Thats how you know Riot did something right. The Spirit Blossom line has always leaned into this ethereal yokai aesthetic, and Evelynn fits that fantasy like she was designed for it. Honestly not gonna lie, I expected another safe 1350 RP skin and got something that actually made me want to grind ranked with her again.

How Spirit Blossom changes Evelynn’s kit

The VFX overhaul is where this skin earns its price. Her Q – Hate Spike – sends out these petal-like projectiles that trail pink and violet particles across the Rift. Clean reads in teamfights, which matters when you’re trying to proc your charm on the backline ADC without losing track of your own abilities. W charm buildup gets this blooming flower effect around the target. Subtle but noticeable.

E feels snappy with the new particles. The lashher claws leave this ghostly blossom trail that fades fast. Not distracting during ganking sequences, which I appreciate. Some Evelynn skins go overboard with the VFX and you lose clarity mid-dive. Spirit Blossom keeps it readable.

Her R – Last Caress – is the highlight. The execute animation has these massive spirit petals that explode outward. Played maybe 40 games with this skin the week it dropped in October 2022, and the ult still hits different every time. Voice lines stay base, no new VO, but the recall animation is gorgeous. She does this spirit dance that fits the yokai theme perfectly. (Random aside: I recorded the recall and sent it to three friends who dont even play League and they all asked what game this was from.)

The Spirit Blossom line and release context

Spirit Blossom is one of Riot’s strongest skinlines. Period. The first wave back in 2020 set a high bar with Thresh and Ahri, and this second wave in season 12 kept the quality up. Evelynn joined alongside a bunch of other champions in the October 2022 batch.

Terence ‘Terrylefruit’ Cantal nailed the splash. The composition puts Evelynn in this misty forest clearing with spirit flowers everywhere, and her demon shade form peeks through the beauty. Captures the duality of the champion perfectly. Credit where it’s due.

9 chromas total for Spirit Blossom Evelynn. Obsidian is my go-to because the dark tones make her stealth form look menacing in a way the base pink doesn’t. Night Blossom has this cool blue-black contrast that reads well against the Rift. Sapphire is solid too if you want that deep blue mage aesthetic. Not sure if it’s just me but Pearl feels too washed out for a champion who’s supposed to be lurking in shadows. Could be wrong here but I think most Evelynn mains gravitate toward the darker chromas.

Is Spirit Blossom Evelynn worth 1350 RP?

Real verdict: this is a top-tier Epic skin for Evelynn. Maybe second only to K/DA All Out depending on your taste. The VFX are clean without being noisy, the model looks great, and the recall animation is S-tier. For 1350 RP this feels fair for what you get.

Been running this as my main Evelynn skin since late 2022. Shop has it permanently available, so no rush. But if you main Evelynn or even just play her in your jungle rotation, Spirit Blossom belongs in your collection. I’ve tried going back to Blood Moon and Coven and I keep coming back to this one. The Spirit Blossom aesthetic just works for a champion whose entire kit revolves around luring people in and punishing them for it. Kinda feels like Riot designed the skinline with her in mind, even though she wasnt in the original wave.

Skip it if you’re not an Evelynn player. But for mains? First choice. Locked this in for my last 3 months of climbing through Diamond and dont regret it. One of those skins where the price, the quality, and the theme all line up. Rare for a 1350 skin to check every box but Spirit Blossom Evelynn does it.
