SKT T1 Vayne

First time I saw SKT T1 Vayne load into a game was back in season 4, some random solo queue match around midnight. My support pinged my skin like three times. Didnt even know what it was at the time, just thought the red and black looked clean on Vayne’s model. Been a fan of esports skins since then, and this one holds a weird spot in my collection because its one of those early Worlds skins before Riot really figured out how to make them special.

What SKT T1 Vayne actually looks like in game

So this is a Standard tier skin at 750 RP, and you need to set your expectations there. Vayne gets the SKT T1 red and black jersey treatment. Think of it like a team uniform swap. The crossbow gets a color shift to match the red theme, and the outfit trades the usual dark leather for something closer to a sporty jacket with the SKT logo. Clean change.

The new VFX are subtle. Not gonna lie, if you blink you might miss the differences on her Q tumble and Silver Bolts proc. The third hit ring carries a slight red tint that reads well in lane. Her E condemn bolt looks sharper against the Rift backdrop with the red accents. But we’re not talking Legendary-level particle overhauls here. Base voice lines, no new VO. No unique recall animation either, she just does the standard Vayne recall.

Kinda feels like the skin does its best work in the splash art and champion select. Once you’re in game and csing in bot lane, the silhouette reads as Vayne with a red shirt. Which honestly? For 750 RP thats about right. Could be wrong here but I think the auto attack animations feel slightly different with this skin, something about the crossbow size. Might be placebo from 200+ games though.

The World Champions 2013 line and how Vayne fits

Released May 4, 2014. Late spring, right before MSI season. Bo Lu did the splash, and they captured the competitive energy well. Vayne standing with the crossbow ready, SKT colors popping. The World Champions: 2013 skinline commemorates Faker and the boys winning Worlds that year. Vayne was part of the SKT T1 bundle alongside Zed, Jax, Lee Sin, and Zyra.

Real talk though, the 2013 Worlds skins were Riot’s second attempt at esports commemorative skins after TPA. They’re simple by modern standards. No signature moves in the recall, no holographic effects. Just the team colors on the champion model with minor VFX tweaks. Compared to something like the DRX 2022 line or even the SSG set, these feel barebones. But there’s charm in the simplicity.

Legacy vault skin, so you cant just grab it whenever you want. Gotta wait for the vault to open or roll it from Hextech crafting. Seen maybe five of these in my Diamond games all season. Most Vayne mains run Project or Spirit Blossom instead. (Random aside: my duo partner has every single SKT skin and refuses to use any of them because “they feel cursed after 2017.”)

Should you hunt down SKT T1 Vayne?

Verdict time. This is a collector’s piece more than a gameplay upgrade. 750 RP is fair pricing for what you get, standard tier delivers standard changes. The red and black color scheme works on Vayne’s kit, especially when you’re tumbling through a teamfight and the Q leaves those red trails. But if you’re looking for something that transforms how Vayne feels to play, this ain’t it.

Best use case: you’re an esports history nerd who wants to rep the original SKT dynasty, or you one-trick Vayne and need every skin in the collection. For everyone else climbing ranked, Project Vayne or Spirit Blossom Vayne give you way more bang for your RP. Skip this unless the nostalgia factor hits you personally. I keep it in rotation for ARAM specifically, been playing it there since like season 9 I think or 10 dont remember, and it works for that low-stakes vibe where you just want to look different without thinking about it too hard.
