SKT T1 Jax

First time I saw SKT T1 Jax in a loading screen I thought someone was running a custom skin. The red and black SKT jersey on Jax looked strange to me at the time, mostly because Jax’s silhouette doesnt exactly scream “esports athlete.” Been playing Jax on and off since season 4 and this skin always felt like a weird novelty pick in my collection. Not gonna lie, there’s a charm to it once you stop expecting it to be something it’s not.

What SKT T1 Jax actually changes

This is a Standard tier skin at 750 RP so keep expectations in check. Jax gets the full SKT T1 team uniform treatment: red jacket, dark pants, the iconic logo on the back. His lamppost gets a minor color shift to match the team palette but it’s still very much the same lamppost. No new particles on his Q, W, E, or R. No changed animations. Voice lines stay base. Recall is default too.

Honestly the main selling point is the novelty factor. You lock in Jax, the enemy team sees the SKT branding, and maybe for half a second they wonder if you’re about to channel your inner Faker. Spoiler: you’re not. (Random aside: I used to have the SKT ward skin too and running both felt like cosplaying as a Korean pro player in my Diamond games around 3 AM on a Tuesday.)

The model itself is clean for what it is. Simple change – huge impact in terms of thematic identity. The jersey textures read well in game even at zoomed out camera angles. Jax’s proportions work surprisingly well with the athletic wear. Could be wrong here but I think the color contrast between the red uniform and the Rift’s green actually makes him easier to track in teamfights compared to default Jax.

The World Champions 2013 skinline and release context

SKT T1 Jax dropped May 4, 2014. Part of the World Champions: 2013 skinline celebrating SK Telecom T1’s dominant Worlds run. Bo Lu handled the artwork, solid execution on the splash considering the straightforward concept. The whole set released together and Jax was one of the picks from that legendary roster.

This sits in the Legacy vault now. You can’t just grab it from the shop whenever you want. Vault rotation skin, so you’re either waiting for a Legacy sale event or hoping to roll it from Hextech crafting. No chromas available for this one which makes sense given the esports branding. Riot keeps these World Champion skins pretty locked down in terms of variants.

The World Champions skinline in general ages interestingly. Season 3 was a different era of League. Might be overthinking it but wearing this skin in ranked feels like a small history lesson. Most players in my games these days started playing way after 2013 and have no idea what this skin even references. Seen maybe two other people running this in the last three seasons.

Should you pick up SKT T1 Jax?

Real verdict: this is a collector’s piece. Pure and simple. If you main Jax and want every skin in the set, sure, keep an eye out for Legacy vault openings. 750 RP is fair for what you get. But if you’re looking for VFX, new animations, or anything that changes gameplay feel, God Staff Jax or Mecha Kingdoms Jax are just better purchases. Those skins make Jax’s Counter Strike and Leap Strike feel different. SKT T1 Jax makes him look like he’s heading to a press conference.

For Jax one-tricks who care about esports history and that season 3 SKT era specifically, it’s a cool thing to have in rotation. I pull it out maybe once every 30 games when I’m feeling nostalgic. Took this into a ranked game last week and my support typed “what skin is that” in chat. That about sums up where this skin sits in 2026. Not bad, not exciting, just a quiet nod to competitive League history that most of the playerbase has moved past. Worth 750 RP if you’re a completionist, skip it if you want something that actually changes the Jax experience.
