Conqueror Jax

First time I saw Conqueror Jax load into my game I thought it was a custom skin someone modded in. The gold and deep crimson armor reads so clean on Jax’s silhouette that it almost doesnt look like a Riot product. Been running this as my main Jax skin since mid-season 11 and honestly the more I play it the more I appreciate what they did here.

What Conqueror Jax actually brings to the table

So the Conqueror line has always been about celebrating esports, and Jax got his turn in April 2021. The skin gives Jax this ornate golden warrior look with red accents that feel earned. Not flashy for the sake of flashy. Measured.

New VFX across the board. His Q leap trails gold particles behind him, which looks especially satisfying when you’re diving the backline in a teamfight. The W empowered auto has this sharp golden burst on impact. Clean visual feedback. You know exactly when the proc lands, which matters more than people think when you’re timing trades in lane.

E is where it gets interesting. Counter Strike spins with these gold rune-like symbols orbiting Jax. Kinda feels like he’s channeling something ancient rather than just spinning his lamp around. The stun pop at the end has real weight to it. Played maybe 200 games with this skin and I still notice the E particles every time.

His R passive proc on the third hit leaves a brief golden mark on the target. Subtle but it helps track your passive stacking in messy fights. Could be wrong here but I think the auto attack animations feel slightly smoother than base, though Riot says they don’t change those for Epics. Placebo or not, it plays well.

New recall animation too. Jax plants his weapon and kneels like a knight being honored. Fits the Conqueror theme perfectly. (Random aside: I’ve started using the recall to BM after winning a 1v2 in the top lane and it hits different with this animation.)

Voice lines stay base. Erik Braa’s original VO, no changes. Standard for a 1350 RP Epic.

The Conqueror line and where Jax fits

Foritis Wang and West Studio handled the splash art. They cooked. The composition has Jax standing victorious with this massive arena behind him, trophy energy radiating off the whole piece. One of the better Conqueror splashes in the series if you ask me.

The Conqueror skinline drops one skin per year tied to MSI. Jax got his in 2021, released April 29 specifically. Previous Conqueror skins went to champs like Varus and Karma. Real talk though, Jax might be the best fit for the line thematically. A grandmaster at arms receiving a conqueror’s armor just makes sense in a way that some other picks didn’t.

No chromas on this one. Legacy vault skin so you cant just grab it whenever you want. You either need to wait for a vault rotation or get lucky with Hextech crafting. Seen maybe 3 of these in my ranked games all season, which honestly adds to the appeal. Not every Jax player and their duo is running around with it.

Is Conqueror Jax worth 1350 RP?

Straight talk: for Jax mains this is a top three skin easily. The VFX clarity alone gives it an edge over half his catalog. God Staff Jax exists and thats the obvious comparison point since it’s a Legendary, but Conqueror holds its own at a lower price bracket.

1350 RP feels fair for what you get. New VFX, new recall, strong splash, and a theme that actually suits Jax’s identity as a fighter who’s seen every battlefield. Not gonna lie, the Legacy status is the only real downside. If it was permanent shop I think way more people would be using it.

Been maining Jax with this skin through Diamond and it never gets old. Last Tuesday around 2 AM I locked in Jax for a late night ranked session, picked this skin, and proceeded to splitpush my way to LP. The gold particles on the lamp post just hit different at 2 AM when you’re hard stuck in your promos. If you see it in the vault or roll it from a chest, keep it. S-tier Jax cosmetic and one of the better Conqueror entries in the whole line.
