Conqueror Skins

All 6 skins in the Conqueror skinline. Browse splash art, chromas, and detailed reviews for every Conqueror skin in League of Legends.

Conqueror is one of those skinlines that most people forget exists until MSI rolls around. Red and gold. Competitive prestige vibes. Riot started dropping these in 2017 as the esports celebration skins tied to Mid-Season Invitational, and they ran the line through 2021 before quietly shelving it. Six skins total across five champions, and honestly the whole set has this specific energy that screams "I watch pro play and I want you to know it." Not gonna lie, I respect the commitment to a unified aesthetic even if the line never quite hit the highs of Championship or Worlds skins.

What Makes Conqueror Stand Out on the Rift

The visual signature is pretty clear across all six skins. Deep crimson base with gold trim and accents. Think royal tournament armor meets competitive esport branding. Every Conqueror skin shares this red-gold palette and it gives the whole line a cohesive look that most skinlines struggle to maintain. Could be wrong here but I think the Conqueror color scheme is one of the tightest in the game when you line them all up side by side.

VFX lean into warm tones. Reds, oranges, gold particle trails on abilities. Nothing crazy experimental, just clean recolors on the Standards and slightly more polished work on the Epic and Mythic entries. The splash arts all carry this tournament arena backdrop vibe, champions posed like theyre about to walk on stage at an international event. Which tracks, since the whole point of the line is celebrating MSI.

Compared to Championship skins (the Worlds equivalent), Conqueror runs warmer. Championship goes blue and silver, Conqueror goes red and gold. Both lines serve the same purpose but target different tournaments. Real talk though, Championship got way more attention from Riot over the years. More skins, more variety, a couple Legendaries. Conqueror stayed small. Six skins. That's it.

The shared aesthetic works best on champions with big silhouettes. Alistar in red and gold armor looks imposing. Nautilus covered in crimson plating fits naturally. Smaller champions like Varus lose some of that tournament grandeur just because there's less surface area to paint. (Random aside: I always thought the red-gold combo would look insane on Darius or Mordekaiser but Riot never went there.)

Best Conqueror Skins Worth Locking In

Prestige Conqueror Jax sits at the top and its not even close. The Mythic tier treatment gives Jax this white and gold regal look that separates it from every other skin in the line. The lamppost becomes this ornate golden weapon and the whole model reads cleaner than base Conqueror Jax. Been running this in ranked when I play Jax top and the auto-attack animations feel crisp with the gold particles. Might be overthinking it but something about prestige VFX makes cs-ing feel smoother.

Conqueror Jax (the Epic version at 1350 RP) is the most polished non-Prestige entry. New particles on his abilities, the Counter Strike has this red energy dome effect, and the recall animation ties into the competitive theme. For 1350 RP you get a complete package. Standard pricing, above-average skin. If you main Jax and dont want to chase the Prestige version through Hextech crafting, the base Epic handles itself well in game.

Conqueror Alistar surprised me. Standard tier, 975 RP, but the red and gold armor on a minotaur just works. Played this in a support game last season around 3 AM in some cursed Diamond lobby and the Headbutt-Pulverize combo looked clean with the warm VFX. Not the flashiest skin in his collection but solid for the price. The splash is genuinely good too.

Conqueror Karma lands middle of the pack. The Mantle of Decorum gets the red treatment and her abilities carry the warm particle effects. Fine skin. Nothing that made me drop my main Karma setup for it though. Kinda feels like Karma gets slotted into every skinline as the safe pick and this one is no exception.

Conqueror Varus rounds out the roster on the lower end for me. The bow gets the crimson treatment and Q charge-up shows red energy, but Varus has so many better options at this point. Hard to recommend unless you're specifically collecting the full Conqueror set.

The Conqueror Champion Roster

Five champions across six skins (Jax got two because of the Prestige variant). Small roster. Alistar was the first in 2017, kicking off the line as a tanky frontline representative. Made sense for an esports celebration skin. Engage champions are the face of competitive League. Peel, teamfight presence, the whole package.

Varus came next in 2018. ADC representation. He was meta at MSI that year if I remember right, which probably drove the pick. Then Karma in 2019. Support/mid flex, safe choice. Jax in 2020 with both the Epic and Prestige versions, which was the biggest single drop the line ever got. And Nautilus closed it out in 2021.

The roster skews toward engage and utility. No assassins, no mages (unless you count Karma), no bruiser splitpush types besides Jax. Not sure if it's just me but the champion picks feel like Riot was choosing "safe competitive picks" rather than fan favorites. Nobody was begging for Conqueror Nautilus, you know? (Sidebar for the esports nerds: the champion selection probably tied to whoever was dominant at MSI each year, not community votes.)

Who should've gotten a Conqueror skin? Thresh. Lee Sin. Maybe Orianna. Champions that define competitive League and have the visual real estate to carry that red-gold palette. Missed opportunities.

Tier Breakdown and Pricing

Four Standards at 975 RP. One Epic at 1350 RP. One Mythic (Prestige). That's the spread. Standards dominate this line heavily, which means most Conqueror skins are texture and model changes without major VFX overhauls. Fair for 975 RP but it does limit how exciting the line feels overall.

The Epic Conqueror Jax at 1350 RP is the ceiling for purchasable skins. Worth it for Jax mains climbing in ranked. 1350 feels fair for what you get. The Prestige version sits outside normal pricing since you had to earn it through event passes or find it in Hextech crafting later.

Price range of 975 to 1350 RP keeps the line accessible. Nobody's dropping 1820 on a Conqueror Legendary because one doesn't exist. The line never got that treatment. Maybe if Riot had kept going past 2021 we would've seen a Legendary entry, but the whole MSI skin program seems to have been retired or absorbed into other esports cosmetics. Season 11 was the last drop. Three years ago now and counting.

For a budget skinline, the Standards actually hold up. Conqueror Alistar at 975 is one of the better value picks for support mains who want something different. Just dont expect Legendary-tier production value from any of these.

Frequently Asked Questions About Conqueror Skins

How many Conqueror skins are there?

Six total. Conqueror Alistar, Conqueror Varus, Conqueror Karma, Conqueror Jax, Prestige Conqueror Jax, and Conqueror Nautilus. Pretty small roster compared to lines like Project or Star Guardian. Riot dropped one per year from 2017 through 2021 tied to MSI, then stopped. Feels like they moved on from the format honestly.

What is the best Conqueror skin?

Prestige Conqueror Jax if you can get it. The white and gold Mythic version looks premium and the VFX are noticeably cleaner than anything else in the line. If we're talking purchasable skins only, Conqueror Jax at 1350 RP is the pick. Been spamming it in Diamond when I go top lane and it holds up well.

Which champions have Conqueror skins?

Five champions: Alistar, Varus, Karma, Jax, and Nautilus. Jax is the only one with two entries since he got both the Epic base and the Prestige Mythic variant. The roster leans heavily toward engage supports and competitive staples. No real surprise picks in the bunch.

Does Conqueror have Legendary skins?

No Legendaries anywhere in the line. The highest tier is Prestige Conqueror Jax at Mythic. Everything else is Standard (975 RP) except the base Conqueror Jax at Epic (1350 RP). Kinda wish they had made at least one Legendary before shelving the line but it never happened.

When did the Conqueror skinline release?

Started in 2017 with Conqueror Alistar and ran through 2021 with Conqueror Nautilus as the final entry. One skin per year tied to MSI, the Mid-Season Invitational. Five year run total. Hasn't had a new addition since season 11 and I dont think its coming back at this point.

Are Conqueror skins worth buying?

Depends on the champion. Conqueror Jax at 1350 RP is solid value if you main him. Conqueror Alistar at 975 is a decent budget pick for support players. The rest are harder to recommend since those champions have better skin options elsewhere. Worth it for esports collectors or one-tricks of those specific champs. Skip if you're just browsing.

Do Conqueror skins have chromas?

Most Conqueror skins don't have chromas. The line focused on a specific red and gold identity tied to MSI branding, so Riot kept the color scheme locked in. Could be wrong but I think chromas would've actually helped some of the weaker entries. A blue or silver Conqueror Varus might've been more appealing than the base red.

Will Riot make more Conqueror skins?

Unlikely at this point. The last Conqueror skin dropped in 2021 and Riot has shifted their esports cosmetics strategy since then. MSI still happens but the dedicated Conqueror line seems retired. Maybe they bring it back someday but after a four-year gap I wouldnt hold my breath. The competitive skin energy moved elsewhere.
