Gold efficiency
| Stat | Amount | Gold per point | Gold value |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ability Power | 20 | 20 g | 400 g |
| Base Mana Regen % | 100 | 4 g | 400 g |
| Ability Haste | 10 | 50 g | 500 g |
| Total stat value | 1300 g |
Gold efficiency = stat value ÷ item cost = 1300 ÷ 900 = 144%. The gold per point comes from basic items of the same patch (for example, Long Sword: 35 g per Attack Damage). Passives and actives are not counted.

Bandleglass Mirror is an epic support component in League of Legends: 20 Ability Power, 10 Ability Haste and 100% Base Mana Regen for 900 gold in patch 26.21. It combines a Faerie Charm, an Amplifying Tome and a Glowing Mote for only 50 gold, and it builds into four enchanter items: Shurelya’s Battlesong, Moonstone Renewer, Echoes of Helia and Imperial Mandate.
What does Bandleglass Mirror do?
It gives an enchanter the three things they run out of in lane: damage for poke, cooldowns for more shields, and mana so the shields keep coming.
The regen is the stat that changes how the lane feels. Doubling your base mana regen on a Lulu or a Janna means you stop watching the blue bar around level five and start spamming the poke ability on cooldown, which is exactly when a support lane starts winning trades (the enemy marksman usually notices the extra pokes before their support does). The 10 Haste is a real chunk for a 900 gold item, and the 20 Ability Power keeps the shields a little fatter until the first legendary lands.
Why is it 144% gold efficient?
Because mana regen and Ability Haste are both cheap for Riot to hand out on a component, and this one hands out a lot of both. Simple as that.
The maths: 20 AP is worth 400 gold at the Amplifying Tome rate, the Haste is worth 500 gold at the Glowing Mote rate, and the regen comes to 400 gold at the Faerie Charm rate. Add them up and you get 1,300 gold of stats for 900. Is any other epic item that generous? Hardly any, and the trick is that the regen line is priced high while being useless on a champion with no mana problems, so the number flatters the Mirror a little. Real talk, an enchanter does have mana problems, so for the player who buys it the efficiency is as real as it looks.
What does Bandleglass Mirror build into?
Four legendaries, all for supports, and that is the whole list.
Moonstone Renewer and Shurelya’s Battlesong both cost 2,200 gold, one for chain healing in long fights and one for the team wide speed boost. Echoes of Helia sits at the same price and rewards poke with extra healing. Imperial Mandate is the odd one out at 2,400 gold, built for supports who slow or root rather than shield (Ashe support players know it well). Which one you finish depends on the comp, and the point of the Mirror is that you do not have to decide until the second back after you buy it.
Below it are three cheap pieces: Faerie Charm at 200 gold, Amplifying Tome at 400 and Glowing Mote at 250. The combine cost of 50 gold is close to nothing, so in practice you finish it the moment the third component is in your bag.
Who buys it?
Enchanter supports. Lulu, Janna, Nami, Soraka, Sona, Karma, Milio and Renata all pass through a Mirror on the way to their first item, and so does a Seraphine when she sits in the support slot.
Mid lane mages? No. The regen is wasted on champions who build Lost Chapter, and none of the four finished items suits a mage. Tank supports skip it too, since Celestial Opposition and Solstice Sleigh come from a different path. Funny enough, it is one of the few items in the game bought by exactly one class and nobody else, which the guide to LoL roles covers when it gets to what supports actually build.
How has the price moved over the patches?
Down, mostly. The Mirror arrived in patch 10.23 at 1,050 gold, fell to 950 two patches later in 10.25, went back up to 1,000 in patch 14.1 when the regen bonus rose from a half to three quarters, and settled at 900 gold in patch 14.19, when the regen reached the full 100% it has today.
Each change made it a better deal (four changes, zero nerfs, which is rare). Thing is, that only happens when Riot thinks a class is underpowered, and enchanters have had a rough couple of seasons, so the cheap Bandleglass Mirror is partly a quiet buff to the whole role. Prices for the rest of the support line are in our LoL items database.
