Diana Skins

14 skins available

Diana's skin catalog is one of those collections where Riot clearly figured out what works and then just kept cooking. Been maining her on and off since season 3, and honestly the difference between her early skins and the recent stuff is night and day. 14 skins deep now, ranging from the original Dark Valkyrie back in 2012 all the way to Dark Cosmic in 2024. Not every skin hits, but the ones that do? They hit hard. Could be wrong here but I think Diana has one of the more consistent lineups in the game for a champion who isnt named Lux or Ezreal.

How Diana's Skin Collection Shaped Up Over the Years

Fourteen skins across twelve years. That's a solid pace for a champion who spent a chunk of her early life in the "Riot forgot about me" category. The breakdown tells the story pretty well: 2 Standard tier skins from the old days, 9 Epics that make up the bulk of her wardrobe, 2 Mythic Prestige editions, and 1 Legendary. No Ultimate, no Transcendent. Probably never getting one either, but the Legendary alone carries enough weight.

Dark Valkyrie Diana dropped the same year she launched, 2012. Classic release skin energy. Then Lunar Goddess came along and honestly that was the default Diana skin for years in my ranked games. Everyone ran it. The Epic train really picked up steam around 2017-2018 with Infernal and Blood Moon landing back to back. Those two skins basically defined her look for an entire era of the game.

Real talk though, the 2020-2024 stretch is where it gets interesting. Battle Queen Diana in 2020 with its Prestige variant, Sentinel Diana during the Ruination event in 2021, then Firecracker and Winterblessed in 2022-2023. Heavenscale after that. Dark Cosmic closing it out in 2024 with another Prestige. Riot went from giving Diana a skin every couple years to basically keeping her in constant rotation. Not complaining.

Might be overthinking it but the tier distribution makes sense for how she plays. Diana is a teamfight diver who goes in and either wipes the backline or dies trying. Flashy champion. Flashy skins. The 9 Epics all bring new particles on her Q crescent, her W shield orbs, and her R pull. That's where the money is for Diana mains.

Best Skins for Diana

Winterblessed Diana. Full stop. This is the Legendary, 1820 RP, and it earns every point. New voice lines, completely reworked animations, the Q crescent leaves this frost trail that looks clean against the Rift's green. Her R pulls enemies in with this ice shatter effect. Been spamming this in Diamond since it dropped and the recall animation alone is worth the price. (Random aside: the loading screen splash for this one is genuinely gorgeous, had it as my desktop wallpaper for months.)

The W orbs on Winterblessed have this crystalline quality that makes tracking your shield duration way easier than base. Could be placebo. Probably is. But it feels better and thats what matters when you're diving into five people at dragon pit last Tuesday at 1 AM.

Blood Moon Diana sits at number two for me. 1350 RP Epic and it just fits. Diana's whole identity is the moon, Blood Moon is literally a moon-themed skinline. The red and white color palette on her Q is distinct enough that it reads differently in teamfights. Played maybe 150 games with this one across season 9 and 10. Still holds up years later.

Infernal Diana at 1350 RP is the aggressive pick. Fire effects on everything, her passive proc lights up like a small explosion. If you're the kind of Diana player who flashes into four people and presses R, this skin matches that energy. The E dash leaves a flame trail. Not subtle.

Prestige Battle Queen Diana deserves a mention. Mythic tier, special pricing, you either grinded the event or you didn't get it. White and gold color scheme. Kinda feels like the "flex" Diana skin. Seen maybe 5 of these total in all my games since it released. The Q crescent in the Prestige version has this golden shimmer that the base Battle Queen doesnt match.

Dark Cosmic Diana just dropped in 2024 and the Prestige variant came with it. Space theme works surprisingly well on a moon champion. The galaxy effects on her W shield orbs look incredible in the river at night. Still forming my full opinion on this one honestly, need more games with it. Early impression is strong though.

Skinlines and Where Diana Fits

Diana shows up across a pretty wide range of skinlines. Blood Moon is the obvious slam dunk. Moon champion in a moon-themed skin universe. Riot would have been insane not to put her there. The thematic overlap is basically perfect and the skin reflects that.

Battle Queens was a surprise fit. The whole medieval fantasy queen aesthetic works because Diana already carries herself like royalty in her base design. Confident stance, the curved blade, the way she moves. Not gonna lie, I wasnt expecting to like Battle Queen Diana as much as I did when it first showed up on PBE.

Sentinels of Light put Diana in the Ruination event lineup. Makes sense lore-wise given her Lunari connections, though the skin itself is more of a "cool concept, decent execution" situation. Not bad by any means. Just not her best.

Lunar Revel with Lunar Goddess is the legacy pick. That skinline captures the celestial fantasy that Diana was built around. Firecracker Diana also falls into the Lunar New Year celebration space. Different vibe entirely - festive, bright, lots of red and gold. Fun skin but not what I'd call essential.

Heavenscale puts her in the Dragon World universe. Dragonslayer was the earlier dragon-adjacent skin. Two dragon-themed skins for one champion feels like a lot but they play differently enough. Dragonslayer is darker, more aggressive. Heavenscale has that regal Eastern dragon aesthetic.

(Sidebar for Diana one-tricks specifically: if you care about skinline diversity in your collection, she's actually one of the better champions for it. Eight different thematic universes represented across 14 skins. Not bad at all.)

Budget Picks vs Going Premium

The cheapest Diana skins sit at 975 RP. Standard tier. Dark Valkyrie and Lunar Goddess. For the price, Lunar Goddess is the clear winner. The silver and blue palette just reads well. Been around since the early days and it still looks competent next to newer skins. Not gonna blow your mind with particle effects but the model holds up.

At 1350 RP you've got nine options and this is where most Diana mains should be shopping. Blood Moon and Infernal are the safe picks. Both change particles across all abilities, both have strong splash art, both feel distinct from base Diana. If you can only grab one Epic, Blood Moon. If you want two, add Infernal.

Battle Queen Diana at 1350 is also solid but the aesthetic is more niche. You either vibe with the fantasy queen look or you dont. Fair warning, the chromas on Battle Queen expand the options significantly if the base colors dont click for you.

Now the Legendary question. Winterblessed at 1820 RP is a 470 RP jump from Epic. Worth it? For Diana mains, absolutely. The new VO, the animation quality, the way Q and R feel with the ice effects. It's a different experience. For someone who plays Diana once a month in ARAM? Probably stick with an Epic. That ranked game where my jungler locked Diana with Winterblessed and proceeded to int 0/7 proved that a good skin cant fix bad gameplay.

The two Prestige skins are Mythic tier and you cant just buy them outright. Prestige Battle Queen required event grinding back in 2020. Prestige Dark Cosmic came through the Mythic shop in 2024. If you see either available in the Mythic Essence rotation, they're worth picking up for collection purposes. Neither is strictly better than Winterblessed for actual gameplay feel though.

Best value overall? Blood Moon at 1350 RP. Best skin period? Winterblessed at 1820. Thats the honest breakdown.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many skins does Diana have?

Diana has 14 skins total as of 2024. That includes 2 Standard, 9 Epic, 2 Mythic Prestige editions, and 1 Legendary. Solid collection for a champion released in 2012. Not Lux numbers but she's been eating well lately with consistent releases every year since 2020.

What is the best Diana skin?

Winterblessed Diana. Legendary tier, 1820 RP. New voice lines, completely reworked particles on every ability, the ice VFX on her R pull is clean. Been my go-to Diana skin since it released. Blood Moon is the best Epic if you dont want to spend Legendary money. Both are great picks for ranked.

What is the cheapest Diana skin?

Dark Valkyrie Diana and Lunar Goddess Diana are both 975 RP, the cheapest in her lineup. Lunar Goddess is the better buy between the two. The silver and blue color scheme still looks good and the model aged better than most skins from that era. Decent starter pick.

Does Diana have a Legendary skin?

Yeah, one Legendary. Winterblessed Diana at 1820 RP. Full package: new VO, new animations, reworked ability VFX with ice and frost effects. Recall animation is S-tier. Probably the best Diana skin by a comfortable margin. Worth the premium if you play her regularly in ranked.

What skinlines is Diana in?

Diana appears in eight skinlines: Blood Moon, Battle Queens, Sentinels of Light, Lunar Revel, Infernal, Bilgewater, Dragon World, and Fables. Blood Moon fits her the best thematically. Moon champion in a moon skinline, no brainer. Battle Queens is a close second for the aesthetic.

Does Diana have chromas?

Several Diana skins have chromas available. Battle Queen Diana, Sentinel Diana, Firecracker Diana, and a few others come with chroma sets. The Battle Queen chromas are the most varied bunch. If the base color scheme of any Epic skin doesnt click, check if chromas exist before writing it off entirely.

When was Diana's last skin released?

Dark Cosmic Diana dropped in 2024 along with its Prestige variant. Space and galaxy themed. The W shield orbs look great with the cosmic particle effects. Still relatively new so you'll see it in games pretty often right now. Riot's been keeping Diana on a steady release schedule lately.

Is Diana worth buying skins for?

If you play Diana regularly, absolutely. Her skins change the feel of her kit more than most champions because the Q crescent and R pull are so visually central to her gameplay. Even at Epic tier the particle changes are noticeable. Grab Blood Moon or Infernal as a starting point. Winterblessed if you're committed to climbing with her.
