First time I saw Sir Kled load into champ select I thought someone was trolling. Knight armor on a screaming yordle riding an equally unhinged lizard. Honestly not gonna lie, the concept is so perfectly Kled that it barely registers as a skin at first. But after locking it in for a solid 40 or 50 ranked games, I came around on it hard.

What Sir Kled actually brings to the table

This is a Standard tier skin at 975 RP so temper expectations. No new ability VFX, no voice filter, base voice lines stay. What you get is a full model rework for both Kled and Skaarl, plus a new recall animation. Kled gets fitted in proper knight armor with a helmet that looks two sizes too big for his head. Skaarl gets matching barding and honestly looks more dignified than Kled does. Classic Kled energy.

The recall is where the skin earns its keep. Been running this in Diamond for a couple seasons now and the recall animation never gets old, especially after you dive someone under tower pre-6 and barely survive. Something about the Medieval knight fantasy clashing with Kled’s unhinged personality just works. The lance he carries fits the jousting vibe perfectly.

No new particles on Q, W, E, or R though. Your Bear Trap on a Rope looks the same, Violent Tendencies procs look the same, everything gameplay-wise reads identical to base. For 975 RP thats expected but worth mentioning if you’re comparing against his other options. Voice pack is base only, which is fine because Kled’s default VO is already one of the best in the game.

The Medieval line and where Sir Kled fits

Released August 9, 2016. Same patch Kled himself launched, so this was his day-one premium skin. Pan Chengwei handled the artwork and the splash captures the whole joke perfectly. Kled looking like he has no idea what knighthood means but committed to the bit anyway.

The Medieval skinline is one of Riot’s older thematic groups. Not huge, not flashy. Sir Kled fits it better than most entries because Kled’s whole deal is territorial aggression, which maps pretty cleanly onto a feudal knight defending his lands. Could be wrong here but I think this is the only Medieval skin that actually has comedic energy to it. The rest play it relatively straight.

No chromas available for Sir Kled. Zero. Kind of a missed opportunity if you ask me. A dark iron or gold-trimmed variant would sell. But Riot hasnt revisited this one since launch so I wouldnt hold your breath. Shop has it permanently though, no vault rotation nonsense.

Should you pick up Sir Kled?

Real verdict: if you main Kled and want something that leans into the absurdity, Sir Kled is solid for 975 RP. Not his best skin overall but a respectable option. (Random aside: my buddy who one-tricks Kled in top lane refuses to use anything else because he says the lance “looks funnier when you splitpush into three people.”) The recall alone justifies the price for mains.

If you’re climbing with Kled this season and only buying one skin, I’d probably point you toward Count Kledula or Marauder depending on your vibe. But Sir Kled holds up. 975 RP feels fair for what you get. Not overpriced, not a steal. Just a clean execution on a funny concept. Last week around midnight I locked it in during a late session and my jungler typed “nice skin” in chat unprompted. That never happens with base Kled. Worth something.
