Bel’Veth ARAM Build and Guide

Updated for patch 26.21. Ability details come from Riot’s official game data for this patch; ARAM balance numbers come from the League of Legends Wiki’s champion data.

A Bel’Veth ARAM build stacks Attack Speed and on-hit damage: Blade of The Ruined King, Guinsoo’s Rageblade and Kraken Slayer, then Sterak’s Gage so she survives long enough to use them. On the Howling Abyss she deals 105% damage and takes 100%, a small but real buff.

Item order follows her patch 26.21 kit. Win rates didn’t factor in.

How do ARAM balance changes affect Bel’Veth?

ARAM modifier Bel’Veth
Damage dealt 105%
Damage taken 100%

Honestly, only one line moves for her, and it’s the damage she deals, not the damage she takes. Damage dealt goes to 105%, while damage taken stays at 100%, so she hits a bit harder and takes the same punishment as on the Rift. Nothing touches her healing or Attack Speed. That’s a mild change (plenty of champions get far bigger swings), and it means her ARAM strength comes almost entirely from her kit and the map, not from Riot’s balance table.

How does Bel’Veth’s kit play on the Howling Abyss?

Her patch 26.21 abilities, from Riot’s data:

  • Death in Lavender (passive): permanent Attack Speed stacks from takedowns on large minions, monsters and champions, plus a temporary burst after each ability.
  • Void Surge (Q): dashes in a chosen direction, damaging every enemy she passes through. Cooldown 4/3.25/2.5/1.75/1.
  • Above and Below (W): a tail slam that damages, knocks up and slows. Cooldown 12/11/10/9/8.
  • Royal Maelstrom (E): roots her in place and channels slashes at the lowest-Health enemy nearby, with lifesteal and damage reduction. Cooldown 24/21/18/15/12.
  • Endless Banquet (R): consuming Void coral turns her into her true form, raising max Health, attack range and Attack Speed. Cooldown 1.

Champion takedowns stack Death in Lavender permanently, and ARAM is a mode built out of champion takedowns. Every fight on one lane hands her a few more stacks, which on the Rift would take a jungle clear and a skirmish to collect. Void Surge goes through enemies (it doesn’t stop at the first one), so on a narrow lane it’s both a gap closer and a way to hit the whole front line at once. Royal Maelstrom aims at the lowest-Health enemy, and in a five-on-five brawl someone is always low. The risk? It roots her in place, and ARAM has no shortage of crowd control waiting for a target that stands still.

What items does a Bel’Veth ARAM build need?

Attack Speed, damage on every hit, and one item that stops her from dying in the first second. Four items and boots.

Blade of The Ruined King first. Mist’s Edge adds a percentage of the enemy’s current Health as physical damage to each attack, which suits her because she attacks more often than almost anyone, and Clawing Shadows slows a champion she hits 3 times by 30% for 1 second. The 10% Life Steal works well with Royal Maelstrom’s own lifesteal.

Guinsoo’s Rageblade second. Wrath adds 30 magic damage on hit, Seething Strike stacks Attack Speed up to 4 times, and at full stacks every third attack applies on-hit effects twice. With Mist’s Edge already in place, that double proc is worth a lot.

Kraken Slayer third, to be fair a close call with Wit’s End into heavy magic damage (it trades some damage for Magic Resist). Every third swing triggers Bring It Down for extra physical damage, and the lower the target’s Health, the bigger that hit gets. Stats? 45 Attack Damage, 40% Attack Speed and 4% Move Speed for sticking to targets.

Sterak’s Gage last, or earlier if the enemy team has heavy burst. Lifeline grants a decaying Shield when damage would drop her below 30% Health, and 400 Health plus 20% Tenacity cover the crowd control that hits her during Royal Maelstrom. Berserker’s Greaves bring 30% Attack Speed, since there’s no reason to skip it on her.

How should she fight on the Howling Abyss?

  • Void Surge through the front line. The dash damages every enemy she passes, so cross the whole group.
  • Channel Royal Maelstrom after their crowd control is used. It roots her in place for the channel.
  • Use an ability before each burst of attacks. Death in Lavender grants temporary Attack Speed after every cast.
  • Tail slam the clump. Above and Below knocks up and slows everyone it hits.
  • Take the coral. Endless Banquet only transforms her once she consumes Void coral remnants.

How do shopping and Mark work for Bel’Veth?

No recall, no base trips. You shop at the fountain at the start and each time you respawn, so plan the first buy around Blade of The Ruined King’s components, since Mist’s Edge only works once the item is finished. Health relics are the only healing between deaths, and a fighter who lives on lifesteal still benefits from one before a big fight (yes, even with Royal Maelstrom up).

Summoner spells are fixed when the game loads. Mark throws a snowball that lets her dash to the target, and Bel’Veth already has a dash every few seconds by rank 5 of Void Surge, so a second gap closer is less useful than it looks. Is Mark ever right on her? Sure, early on, when Void Surge is still slow. In practice, Flash covers more situations overall, from dodging a hook to finishing a Void Surge chase across the lane when the dash falls just short.

Is Bel’Veth good in ARAM?

Yes, in a team that can peel for her. 105% damage dealt is a modest buff, but a mode made of champion takedowns feeds Death in Lavender faster than any jungle does, and Void Surge hits the whole lane at once. The catch is the same one she has on the Rift. Stand still in Royal Maelstrom near a crowd control champion and the fight ends badly.

The champions who do that best are in the Bel’Veth counters guide. Every item above has a full entry in our LoL items list, the guide to League roles covers how fighters fit a team, and her skins live on the Bel’Veth cosmetics page.

Long story short, the Bel’Veth ARAM build is Blade of The Ruined King, Guinsoo’s Rageblade, Kraken Slayer and Sterak’s Gage with Berserker’s Greaves, and the plan is to dash through, stack up, and channel only once their stuns are spent.

FAQ

Is Bel’Veth buffed in ARAM?

Slightly: she deals 105% damage and takes 100% (Wiki data, patch 26.21).

What is the best Bel’Veth ARAM build?

Blade of The Ruined King, Guinsoo’s Rageblade, Kraken Slayer and Sterak’s Gage, with Berserker’s Greaves.

Do champion takedowns give her permanent Attack Speed?

Yes. Death in Lavender grants permanent Attack Speed stacks for takedowns on champions, as well as large minions and monsters.

Why build Sterak’s Gage on Bel’Veth?

Royal Maelstrom roots her in place. Sterak’s Gage adds Tenacity, Health and a Shield at low Health, which helps her survive the channel.

How was this Bel’Veth build chosen?

From her patch 26.21 kit and item text: a champion who attacks very often wants on-hit damage and Attack Speed. No win-rate data was used.
