First time I saw Primordian Bel’Veth on PBE I thought Riot finally cracked the code on making her look genuinely alien instead of just scary. Been maining Bel’Veth on and off since her release and most of her skins lean hard into the Void horror angle. This one goes somewhere else entirely. Prehistoric biomechanical creature vibes. Not gonna lie, the splash alone sold me before I even loaded into practice tool.

How Primordian Bel’Veth actually looks in game

The model rework here is clean. Bel’Veth’s wings get this fossilized, almost chitinous texture that reads really well from the top-down camera. Her true form transformation still hits hard but the color palette shifts from the usual purple-void tones into these earthy amber and bone-white hues. Solid change.

VFX got a full pass. Her Q dash leaves behind these amber particle trails that feel weighty, like something ancient moving through the Rift. W knockup has new ground cracks that actually look like tectonic fractures. Kinda feels like the VFX team studied actual fossil patterns for this one. E damage reduction aura pulses with this warm golden glow instead of the standard Void purple, and her R coral spawns look like primordial growths emerging from the ground.

The recall animation is where they put the real effort. Bel’Veth interacts with what looks like a prehistoric ecosystem forming around her. Played maybe 40 games with this skin last August and I still watch the full recall every time instead of moving the camera. (Random aside: my duo partner thinks the recall creature looks like a Jurassic Park reject and honestly thats fair.)

Voice lines stay base, no new VO. Standard for a 1350 RP Epic tier skin. The base voice still works here though because the predatory tone matches the primordial theme naturally.

The Primordian line and where Bel’Veth fits

Primordian dropped July 17, 2024. Mid-season 14. Herbie Wang and Kudos Productions handled the splash art, and they nailed the composition. Bel’Veth is positioned like some apex predator from an extinction event, wings spread wide against what looks like a dying world. Credit where it’s due.

The Primordian skinline itself is one of Riot’s more interesting concepts. Could be wrong here but I think it’s their take on “what if champions existed in a prehistoric dimension.” Bel’Veth fits the line better than most because her base design already feels like something that shouldn’t exist in a modern ecosystem. Aatrox and Rek’Sai got Primordian skins too, and Bel’Veth sits comfortably as the best executed of the set.

9 chromas available. Obsidian is my go-to because the dark tones make her true form look genuinely terrifying in teamfights. Abyssal has this green-and-cream combo that reads like a deep sea fossil, really unique. Pearl works if you want something cleaner but I keep coming back to Obsidian. Shop has it, permanent availability.

Is 1350 RP fair for Primordian Bel’Veth?

Real verdict: this is the Bel’Veth skin if you can only own one. Been running this exclusively in Diamond since around late July last year and I dont see myself switching back. The VFX clarity is actually better than base in my experience, especially her W knockup indicator during chaotic teamfights. When you’re trying to peel for your backline or engage on a priority target, the amber particles read cleaner than the purple Void effects.

1350 RP feels fair for what you get. New VFX across all abilities, a recall that’s worth watching, and a model that finally makes Bel’Veth feel like more than just “Void creature number four.” If you’re a Bel’Veth one-trick or even just someone who jungles her in ranked occasionally, this is the pick. Locked in this skin for about six months of solo queue now. Only complaint is I wish the true form R transformation had slightly more dramatic particles, but that’s a minor gripe for an Epic tier skin. Worth the RP if you main Bel’Veth, skip it if you’re just looking for jungle variety.
