Lunar Revel: Firecracker Skins
All 19 skins in the Lunar Revel: Firecracker skinline. Browse splash art, chromas, and detailed reviews for every Lunar Revel: Firecracker skin in League of Legends.
Firecracker is one of those skinlines I keep coming back to every Lunar New Year. The whole vibe is red and gold explosions, fireworks popping off on every ability, and this festive energy that honestly just makes ranked feel less tilting. Been playing League since season 2 and the Firecracker line has been a constant in my rotation during January and February. Not every skin in the set hits the same, but the ones that do? They carry your whole aesthetic for the season. 19 skins deep now across a bunch of champions, and the line keeps growing.

What Sets Firecracker Apart from Other Lunar Revel Skins
So Lunar Revel as a whole has like three sub-themes running. You got the Warring Kingdoms line doing the Dynasty Warriors thing, the base Lunar Revel stuff with lanterns and traditional outfits, and then Firecracker. Firecracker is the loud one. The party cousin. Every skin in this set leans hard into pyrotechnics, red envelopes, firecrackers (obviously), and this specific shade of crimson and gold that Riot has nailed down over the years.
The VFX signature is what ties everything together. Firework bursts on abilities. Sparkler trails on autos. Recall animations that are basically mini firework shows. Could be wrong here but I think Firecracker Jinx has one of the cleanest recall animations in the entire game. Little rocket launches into a full display. The shared color palette across all 19 skins means you can run a full Firecracker comp in ARAM and it actually looks coordinated. Done it twice. Both times someone in all chat said it looked like a festival.
Compared to something like Porcelain or Mythmaker, which also pull from similar cultural aesthetics, Firecracker keeps things more playful. Porcelain went elegant. Mythmaker went mythological. Firecracker said "what if we just made everything explode in red and gold" and honestly thats a vibe I respect. The splash arts across the line share this warm lighting, usually night scenes with fireworks in the background, lanterns floating around. Consistent art direction even though they span from 2011 all the way to 2022.
One thing I notice in my Diamond games is that Firecracker skins read well on the Rift. The red particles pop against Summoner's Rift green. You can track abilities cleanly in teamfights. Some skinlines sacrifice clarity for style but Firecracker manages both. (Random aside: I used Firecracker Vayne for an entire climbing session last February and my support said the tumble particles were "distracting" but I think he was just mad about the lane state.)
Best Firecracker Skins Worth Your RP
Not gonna lie, the standout for me is Firecracker Tristana. That skin just fits. Tristana's whole kit is about explosions already. Her W, her E stacking, the R knockback. Wrap all of that in firework VFX and it feels like the champion was designed for this skinline. 1350 RP, Epic tier. The auto attack sounds have this satisfying crackle to them that I dont get tired of even after hundreds of games. Played maybe 150 ranked games with it across two seasons.
Prestige Firecracker Vayne deserves the conversation. Both versions, the original and the 2022 re-release. The original Prestige has that white and gold look that Prestige skins were known for back then. Clean. The 2022 version updated the model and gave it more detail. Real talk though, either version makes Vayne feel premium in lane. The tumble animation, the Silver Bolts proc VFX, the condemn particles. All upgraded. If you're a Vayne one-trick this is probably your most stylish option outside of maybe Spirit Blossom.
Firecracker Xin Zhao caught me off guard. I wasn't expecting much from an Epic Xin skin but the spear animations with the firework trails on his E dash look sick. The three-talon strike has these burst effects on the third hit. Been running this in ranked when I get autofilled jungle and it makes the experience at least visually enjoyable. Something about the recall where he plants fireworks and they go off behind him. Simple change - huge impact.
Firecracker Jinx is another top pick. She already has a bunch of good skins but this one leans into the chaotic energy that defines Jinx as a champion. The Fishbones rockets look like actual firework rockets. Flame Chompers become little firecrackers on the ground. Her ult? Massive firework missile across the map. Kinda feels like Riot designed the Firecracker concept around Jinx specifically even though she wasn't in the original lineup.
Firecracker Diana rounds out my top five. The crescent blade as a firework wheel is creative. Her R pull-in has this burst of red sparks. Not the flashiest skin Diana has, but solid. Fair warning, the Q arc can look a little busy in hectic teamfights but I've never lost a fight because of visual clutter from it. Maybe just my experience but it performs better on lower particle settings.
The Champion Roster and Who Fits
19 skins across 17 champions. Some of these make perfect sense. Others feel like Riot just needed bodies to fill the lineup for that year's Lunar Revel event.
Tristana, Jinx, Ziggs, and Corki are natural fits. Champions built around explosions getting explosion-themed skins. Thats the easy layup. Ziggs especially, his entire kit is lobbing bombs. Firecracker Ziggs turns those bombs into literal firecrackers. The bouncing bomb Q leaves little sparkler trails. His ult is a giant firework that detonates on the map. Chef's kiss level of thematic fit.
Then you got champions like Sejuani and Sett where the connection is less obvious but still works. Firecracker Sejuani rides what looks like a lion dance creature instead of Bristle. The W slam has firework burst effects. Sett's whole brawler energy translates well into the festival theme, his haymaker W looks like he's punching through a wall of fireworks. Both solid picks for their respective mains.
Gonna be honest, some feel stretched. Panda Annie and Dragonwing Corki are technically in this skinline but they predate the modern Firecracker aesthetic. They're from 2011-2012 era, Standard tier at 975 RP, and the quality gap compared to the 2018+ entries is massive. Lion Dance Kog'Maw is in a similar spot. Love the concept but the execution is dated. Could be wrong here but I think those older skins are more Lunar Revel adjacent than truly Firecracker in style.
Who should Riot add next? Feels like Ziggs proved the formula works for artillery champs. Imagine Firecracker Xerath with firework Q snipes. Or Firecracker Lux with a firework laser ult. There's room for more ADCs too. Firecracker Aphelios with weapon-specific firework colors would be wild. (Sidebar for bot lane mains: the fact that we have Ashe, Vayne, Tristana, Jinx, Caitlyn, and Kog'Maw in this line means Firecracker basically IS the ADC skinline already.)
Tier and Price Breakdown
The distribution tells a story. 15 out of 19 skins are Epic tier at 1350 RP. That's the sweet spot where you get new VFX, new SFX, new recall, but no new voice lines. Standard pricing. The two Standard tier skins at 975 RP are the older ones from 2011-2012 and honestly they show their age. The two Mythic tier skins are both Prestige Firecracker Vayne variants.
No Legendaries in the line. Zero. Not one. Might be overthinking it but that feels like a missed opportunity. A Legendary Firecracker skin with full new VO, unique interactions, maybe festival-themed voice lines? That would anchor the whole skinline. Right now the Prestige Vaynes are the premium options and they're Mythic tier which means limited availability.
Price range runs 975 to 1350 RP for what you can actually buy in the shop. Most of what you'll be looking at is 1350. For a full Firecracker experience across your champion pool you're looking at multiple 1350 RP purchases. Not the cheapest skinline to collect but each individual skin is reasonably priced for what you get. The VFX work across the Epic tier entries is consistently good. Riot clearly has the Firecracker template dialed in at this point after 11 years of making these.
Season 12 was the last batch in 2022. Been three years with no new additions. I think Riot shifted focus to Mythmaker and Porcelain for the Lunar New Year slot. Wouldn't surprise me if Firecracker comes back eventually though. Too recognizable to shelf permanently.
Frequently Asked Questions
How many Firecracker skins are there?
19 skins total in the Firecracker line as of right now. That includes two Prestige Firecracker Vayne variants which are Mythic tier. The rest are mostly Epic at 1350 RP with a couple older Standard skins from 2011 and 2012. Solid roster size for a sub-theme within Lunar Revel. Not the biggest skinline but definitely one of the more recognizable ones during the January-February event window each year.
What is the best Firecracker skin?
Firecracker Tristana gets my vote. The thematic fit is perfect since her whole kit revolves around explosions. The VFX on her E stack and W jump are clean and the auto attack sounds have this crackle that never gets old. Firecracker Jinx is a close second though. If you play Vayne, either Prestige version is top tier for flex value. Really comes down to which champion you actually lock in.
Which champions have Firecracker skins?
17 champions across 19 skins. The ADC representation is heavy with Vayne, Tristana, Jinx, Ashe, Caitlyn, and Kog'Maw all in the lineup. You also got Diana, Sett, Sejuani, Poppy, Xin Zhao, Teemo, Ziggs, Corki, Seraphine, Yuumi, and Annie. Vayne is the only champion with multiple Firecracker skins since both Prestige versions count separately. Leans bot lane but has enough variety for other roles.
Does Firecracker have Legendary skins?
No Legendary skins in the Firecracker line. The highest tier is Mythic with the two Prestige Firecracker Vayne skins. Everything else is Epic at 1350 RP or Standard at 975 RP. Feels like a gap honestly. A Legendary Firecracker skin with new voice lines and upgraded animations would give the skinline a proper anchor. Maybe if Riot brings the line back we'll see one.
When did the Firecracker skinline release?
The earliest Firecracker-adjacent skins dropped in 2011 with Panda Annie and Lion Dance Kog'Maw, though the modern Firecracker branding really kicked in around 2018-2019. The most recent batch came in 2022 with skins like Firecracker Sett and Firecracker Diana. So the line spans about 11 years total. Been a Lunar New Year staple for a long time now even if the early entries look pretty dated.
Are Firecracker skins worth buying?
If you main any of the champions in the line, yeah. The Epic tier entries at 1350 RP deliver good VFX and solid recall animations. Firecracker Tristana and Jinx are easy recommendations. The older 975 RP skins like Panda Annie are harder to justify unless you're collecting. Value per RP is strong on the 2018+ releases. I run these every Lunar New Year in ranked and never feel like I wasted the purchase.
Do Firecracker skins have chromas?
Several of the newer Firecracker skins have chromas available. The 2019+ releases especially tend to come with chroma packs. Firecracker Vayne, Sejuani, and Diana all got chroma options. The older skins from 2011-2015 mostly don't have chromas since that system wasn't standard back then. If you want color variety check the newer entries first. Ruby chromas tend to blend into the base red-gold palette though so pick something contrasting.
Will Riot make more Firecracker skins?
Hard to say for sure. The last Firecracker batch dropped in 2022 and Riot has since rotated to Mythmaker and Porcelain for Lunar New Year events. But Firecracker is too iconic to retire permanently in my opinion. The firework VFX template is proven and popular. Could see them bringing it back with a fresh champion batch, maybe alongside a Legendary skin to elevate the line. Nothing confirmed though as of early 2026.
