Lillia ARAM Build and Guide
Updated for patch 26.21. Ability details come from Riot’s official game data for this patch; ARAM balance numbers come from the League of Legends Wiki’s champion data.
A Lillia ARAM build stacks Ability Power and Health on a champion the Howling Abyss slightly nerfs: Lillia deals 95% damage and takes 105% damage in ARAM. Her kit is area magic damage, a max Health burn and a sleep that hits everyone she has tagged, which is exactly what one crowded lane rewards, provided she keeps moving.
The items are our picks for her kit in patch 26.21, nothing more. Win rates don’t come into it.

How is Lillia changed in ARAM?
| ARAM modifier | Lillia |
|---|---|
| Damage dealt | 95% |
| Damage taken | 105% |
In ARAM Lillia deals 95% damage and takes 105% damage, and no other modifier applies to her in this patch. Five percent off is a trim, not a rework, and to be fair it leaves the champion intact. The extra damage taken bites harder. She has 325 range, no dash and no shield, so every mistake in positioning already costs her, and now it costs a little more. Why trim her at all? Because Dream-Laden Bough burns max Health on everything her spells touch, and on the Howling Abyss her spells touch a lot of things.
Why does Lillia fit the Howling Abyss?
Because every spell she has is an area, and the one that isn’t spreads through her passive. Riot’s data for patch 26.21 describes the kit like this:
- Dream-Laden Bough (passive): hitting a champion or monster with a skill deals additional max Health damage over time.
- Blooming Blows (Q): she passively gains stacking Move Speed when her spells hit enemies. The active deals magic damage to nearby enemies, with extra true damage on the edge. Cooldown 6/5.5/5/4.5/4 seconds.
- Watch Out! Eep! (W): damage in a nearby area, heavy in the center. Cooldown 14/13/12/11/10.
- Swirlseed (E): a thrown seed that damages and slows whatever it lands on, and keeps rolling until it hits a wall or a target if it lands on nothing. Cooldown 12.
- Lilting Lullaby (R): all enemies carrying Dream Dust become Drowsy and then fall asleep, taking extra damage when forcibly woken. Cooldown 150/130/110.
Picture the Howling Abyss choke in front of a turret, five enemies standing close together. One Blooming Blows hits three of them, the passive starts ticking on all three, and three stacks of Move Speed carry her back out before anyone answers. Then the ultimate puts all three to sleep. On Summoner’s Rift she has to hunt for that moment. Here? It’s the default state of the map. The catch is her 325 range and the 105% damage taken: she has to walk into the group to hit it, and she has nothing but speed to walk back out with.
What should a Lillia ARAM build focus on?
Ability Power with Health attached, plus Ability Haste for a Q that already comes back every 4 seconds at rank 5. She wants to survive the walk in. Four items from the current patch fit that.
Liandry’s Torment is the core of it: 60 Ability Power and 300 Health, and Torment makes damaging abilities burn enemies for 2% max Health magic damage per second for 3 seconds. That burn stacks on top of Dream-Laden Bough, which is also a max Health burn, so every target a spell touches is now losing Health from two sources at once. Suffering adds up to 6% bonus damage the longer she stays in combat with champions, and ARAM fights are long.
Riftmaker next. It gives 70 Ability Power, 350 Health and 15 Ability Haste, and its two passives fit a bruiser mage better than anything else in the shop: Void Corruption deals 2% bonus damage per second in combat with champions, up to 8%, and grants Omnivamp at full strength, while Void Infusion converts 2% of bonus Health into Ability Power. The Omnivamp is the part that matters on a champion with no shield (healing off a Blooming Blows that hits four people is real sustain, yes, even on a mage).
Cosmic Drive is the third buy, and it’s there for the speed. 70 Ability Power, 350 Health, 25 Ability Haste and 4% Move Speed, plus Spelldance, which grants Move Speed whenever you deal magic or true damage to champions. Blooming Blows already stacks Move Speed on spell hits. Put Spelldance on top of that and a Lillia who lands two spells is out of reach of anything without a dash. Honestly, the Ability Haste alone would justify the slot.
Rylai’s Crystal Scepter closes the build: 65 Ability Power, 400 Health, and Rimefrost slows enemies by 30% for 1 second when a damaging ability hits them. Swirlseed already slows. With Rylai’s, so does the Q, and so does the W, which means the targets she’s kiting away from are slower while she’s faster. If the game goes long enough for a fifth item, Rabadon’s Deathcap adds 130 Ability Power and raises your total by 30% through Magical Opus. For boots, Boots of Swiftness bring 55 Move Speed and Fleetfooted cuts the effect of slows by 25%, which keeps her moving through the one thing that stops her (and she has no other way to clear one).
How do you play Lillia on the Howling Abyss?
- Hit the edge of Q. Blooming Blows deals extra true damage on the edge, so stand at the rim of the circle, not in the middle of their team.
- Tag everyone before you ult. Lilting Lullaby only affects enemies with Dream Dust, and a sleep on one person is a wasted 150 second cooldown.
- Throw Swirlseed down the lane when nobody is in range. It rolls until it hits a wall or a target, and the Abyss is one long corridor.
- Walk away while the passive works. Dream-Laden Bough deals its max Health damage over time, so you don’t need to stay in range to finish the job.
- Max Q. It drops from a 6 second cooldown at rank 1 to 4 at rank 5, and every cast is more Move Speed.
How do shopping and Mark change the game on the Howling Abyss?
There’s no recall on the Abyss. You shop twice: once at the start and once more every time you respawn, and the health relics along the lane are the only healing between deaths. For a Lillia that changes the item order more than you’d think. Liandry’s Torment and Riftmaker both bring Health, and in a mode where you can’t go home to heal, the Health is what lets her keep walking into the fight to apply the burn. In practice, buy the Health component of whichever item is next before the Ability Power one. A dead Lillia stacks no Move Speed.
Mark is the summoner spell that only exists in ARAM: throw a snowball, and if it connects you can dash to the champion it hit. Spell choice is locked once loading starts. For Lillia, who has no dash of her own, the snowball is the closest she gets to one. Land it on a sleeping target and the dash takes her straight to the rim of her Q, true damage included (the hit wakes them, and that’s the point). What about using it to escape? It only moves her toward enemies, so no. Funny enough, that’s still the best engage tool she’ll ever own.
Is Lillia good in ARAM?
Yes, and better than her modifiers suggest. 95% damage and 105% damage taken is a small nerf on a kit that exists for crowds: area damage on every button, a max Health burn that keeps ticking after she leaves, and an ultimate that puts an entire clump to sleep. What holds her back is the entry. 325 range with no dash means she walks into every fight, and on the Abyss there’s no jungle to walk in from.
The matchups that go badly are the ones with hard crowd control, which is the subject of our Lillia counters guide. Our guide to LoL roles says where a jungler like her usually plays. Stats and patch history for each item here live in the item database, and the Lillia skins page has her cosmetics.
Put simply: tag three people with one Q, drift back on the Move Speed, let the burns work, and sleep the clump when the ultimate is up. That is the whole Lillia ARAM build in one sentence. Then you respawn, buy the next Health item, and walk back into the corridor.
FAQ
Is Lillia nerfed in ARAM?
Slightly. For patch 26.21, the League of Legends Wiki’s champion data puts her ARAM modifiers at 95% damage dealt and 105% damage taken.
What items does the Lillia ARAM build use?
Liandry’s Torment, Riftmaker, Cosmic Drive and Rylai’s Crystal Scepter, with Rabadon’s Deathcap as a fifth item and Boots of Swiftness for boots.
Does Lillia have a dash?
No. Her mobility is the stacking Move Speed from Blooming Blows, which she gains when her spells hit enemies. In ARAM the Mark snowball is the only dash available to her.
