Kha’Zix ARAM Build and Guide
Updated for patch 26.21. Ability text comes from Riot’s official game data for this patch; ARAM balance numbers come from the League of Legends Wiki’s champion data.
A Kha’Zix ARAM build is a lethality build with area damage: Profane Hydra first, then Serylda’s Grudge, Edge of Night and Axiom Arc. Riot buffs him heavily on the Howling Abyss (110% damage dealt, 90% damage taken, 120% healing, 120% Tenacity), because a lane where nobody is alone takes away his isolation damage.
Each Kha’Zix ARAM pick below traces back to a line in his patch 26.21 kit or an item description; win rates had no part.

Why does Kha’Zix get so many ARAM buffs?
| ARAM modifier | Kha’Zix |
|---|---|
| Damage dealt | 110% |
| Damage taken | 90% |
| Healing | 120% |
| Tenacity | 120% |
Think about what the Howling Abyss does to an isolation assassin. His kit is built around enemies who wander off alone (Taste Their Fear and Unseen Threat both get bonuses against Isolated targets), and on one lane with five players per team, almost nobody is ever alone. Riot makes up for it on four lines: 110% damage dealt, 90% damage taken, 120% healing and 120% Tenacity. Is that a lot? It’s one of the bigger buff packages in the mode, and honestly it shows once he has a couple of items.
How does Kha’Zix’s kit work on one lane?
From Riot’s patch 26.21 data:
- Unseen Threat (passive): marks Isolated enemies; coming out of hiding, his next attack on a champion adds magic damage and a slow.
- Taste Their Fear (Q): single-target physical damage, increased against Isolated enemies. Cooldown 4.
- Void Spike (W): exploding spikes for physical damage, healing him if he’s caught in the blast. Cooldown 9.
- Leap (E): a jump that damages on landing; Wings adds range and a reset on takedowns. Cooldown 20/18/16/14/12.
- Void Assault (R): one evolution per rank; the active grants invisibility and Move Speed. Cooldown 100/85/70.
Which evolutions work best in a Kha’Zix ARAM game? Wings first, almost always, and the reason is simple. In a five-on-five brawl someone dies every few seconds, and a Leap that resets on takedowns lets him hop from kill to kill. Spike Racks comes next: three spikes in a cone that slow and reveal enemies, which is both poke and setup on a lane where targets stand together. Void Spike’s heal also scales with that 120% healing line. Taste Their Fear will rarely get its isolation bonus, so Reaper Claws matters less here than on Summoner’s Rift.
What is the best Kha’Zix ARAM build?
Profane Hydra first. Cleave turns his attacks into area damage, and Heretical Cleave adds an active blast around him, both welcome when enemies stand in groups instead of alone. It brings 18 Lethality, too.
Second, Serylda’s Grudge. Its 35% Armor Penetration covers the tanks random comps tend to have, and Bitter Cold slows enemies below 50% Health with his damaging abilities, which keeps low targets in range for the next Leap reset.
Third, Edge of Night. Annul blocks the next enemy ability, and in ARAM every Leap lands Kha’Zix in front of a wall of crowd control; one blocked stun can be the whole fight. Axiom Arc finishes the build: Flux refunds part of his ultimate’s cooldown on each takedown, so Void Assault comes back faster in long brawls.
Boots: Plated Steelcaps against AD teams, Mercury’s Treads against crowd control. For what it’s worth, his 120% Tenacity stacks with Mercury’s.
How should Kha’Zix pick targets in teamfights?
- Evolve Wings first. Leap resets on champion kills and assists, and ARAM fights produce a lot of both.
- Poke with evolved Void Spike. It fires three spikes in a cone, slowing and revealing champions hit.
- Wait for the first stun to land on someone else. Then Leap onto the weakest target.
- Use Void Assault to reset fights. Invisibility and Move Speed get him out or back in.
- Grab health relics after each fight. No recall means relics are his only top-up.
Which summoner spells and fountain buys work for Kha’Zix?
Spells lock in the lobby. Flash is the standard pick, and with Leap it reaches backliners who think they’re safe. Mark adds another gap closer: snowball hit, dash, then Leap from there for a huge engage range. Real talk, Mark plus Flash is a lot of dive for one champion.
No recall here, so shopping is fountain only, at the start and after every death. When should Profane Hydra be done? Look, ideally on the very first trip back. The 120% healing modifier makes Void Spike a bit better at keeping him topped up between relics.
Is Kha’Zix good in ARAM?
Yes, though not for the reason he’s good on Summoner’s Rift. The isolation bonus mostly disappears, but four buffs (110% damage dealt, 90% damage taken, 120% healing, 120% Tenacity) and Leap resets in nonstop fights make up for it. His weakness is crowd control on landing.
The Kha’Zix counters guide covers the junglers that beat him, our League item pages list the full stats, and his skins are on the Kha’Zix skins page.
In short, the Kha’Zix ARAM build is Profane Hydra, Serylda’s Grudge, Edge of Night and Axiom Arc: evolve Wings first, wait for the enemy’s stuns, then reset Leap through their team.
FAQ
Is Kha’Zix buffed in ARAM?
Yes, on four lines: 110% damage dealt, 90% damage taken, 120% healing and 120% Tenacity (patch 26.21 Wiki data).
Which evolution should Kha’Zix take first?
Wings. Leap gains range and resets on champion kills and assists.
Does Kha’Zix’s isolation bonus still work here?
Rarely. Enemies are seldom Isolated from allies on a single lane, which is why his ARAM buffs are large.
Why build Edge of Night on Kha’Zix?
Annul blocks the next enemy ability, which can stop the crowd control waiting for him after a Leap.
How was this Kha’Zix build chosen?
From his patch 26.21 kit and item texts: grouped targets, takedown resets and landing in crowd control. No win rates were used.
