Akshan ARAM Build and Guide
Updated for patch 26.21. Ability details come from Riot’s official game data for this patch; ARAM balance numbers come from the League of Legends Wiki’s champion data.
An Akshan ARAM build is a crit and execute path: Statikk Shiv for wave and group damage, then crit items and The Collector so Comeuppance finishes what it starts. Riot buffs him on the Howling Abyss with 105% damage dealt and 95% damage taken.
Each slot was matched against his patch 26.21 abilities and the item’s own wording. Win rates didn’t enter into it.

How is Akshan changed in ARAM?
| ARAM modifier | Akshan |
|---|---|
| Damage dealt | 105% |
| Damage taken | 95% |
Buffs on both sides of the damage ledger, which is rarer than you’d think. Akshan deals 105% damage and takes 95%, so he hits a bit harder and lasts a bit longer than on Summoner’s Rift. For a champion whose ultimate scales with missing Health, the damage bump compounds (each bullet does more, and each bullet makes the next one hit a lower target). Why would Riot help him at all? The mode takes away much of his terrain play, since Heroic Swing needs walls and the lane has only two.
Why does Akshan work on the Howling Abyss?
Going Rogue is a teamfight ability in disguise, and ARAM is all teamfights. Riot’s patch 26.21 data:
- Dirty Fighting (passive): every third hit from attacks and abilities deals bonus damage and shields him against champions; each attack adds a second, weaker shot, or Move Speed if he cancels it.
- Avengerang (Q): a boomerang that hits on the way out and back, gaining range each time it hits an enemy. Cooldown 9/8/7/6/5.
- Going Rogue (W): enemies who kill his allies become Scoundrels, and killing one revives those allies and gives bonus gold; active, he camouflages and gains Move Speed and Mana Regen toward Scoundrels. Cooldown 18/14/10/6/2.
- Heroic Swing (E): he hooks terrain and swings around it, firing at the nearest enemy, until he jumps off or collides with a champion or terrain. Cooldown 18/16.5/15/13.5/12.
- Comeuppance (R): he locks onto an enemy champion, stores bullets, then fires them at the first champion, minion or structure hit for damage based on missing Health. Cooldown 100/85/70.
Champions die constantly in ARAM. Every enemy who kills one of Akshan’s allies becomes a Scoundrel, and if Akshan kills that Scoundrel, the ally comes back. In a long ARAM fight, that can flip a lost teamfight into a won one. Avengerang also benefits, since it extends its range on every enemy it hits, and the narrow lane lines enemies up for it. Heroic Swing is the weak link here. The lane has a wall on each side and little else, so his swings are predictable (it still works, just with fewer angles).
What should an Akshan ARAM build focus on?
Attack Speed and crit for Dirty Fighting’s double shots, then execute power for Comeuppance. Four items and boots.
Statikk Shiv first. Its Electrospark passive fires chain lightning from Energized attacks, applying on-hit effects and dealing magic damage to nearby targets, and Electroshock gives basic attacks extra Energized stacks. In a mode where enemies cluster, chain lightning hits several of them. It’s an odd hybrid stat line.
Infinity Edge comes second, a plain crit item with no passive to manage (30% extra Critical Strike Damage is the reason to buy it). Comeuppance’s bullets scale with missing Health, and crit attacks are how that Health goes missing in the first place.
The Collector is third. Death executes champions below 5% Health, which pairs neatly with an ultimate whose damage climbs as the target’s Health falls. Taxes adds bonus gold per champion kill. With Going Rogue’s own bonus gold for killing Scoundrels, Akshan can out-earn most of the lobby (honestly, that’s half the fun of him).
Lord Dominik’s Regards finishes it with 35% Armor Penetration and Giant Slayer bonus damage against Health-stacked champions. If the enemy has heavy dive, Guardian Angel takes the slot instead, with 55 Attack Damage, 45 Armor and a revive after 4 seconds of Stasis on lethal damage. Boots: Berserker’s Greaves for 30% Attack Speed.
How do you play Akshan on the Howling Abyss?
- Hunt Scoundrels. Killing the champion who killed your ally revives that ally, which can turn a fight around.
- Throw Avengerang through the group. It extends its range each time it hits an enemy, so a crowd makes it fly further.
- Swing off the side walls. Heroic Swing needs terrain, and the lane walls are the only reliable anchors.
- Channel Comeuppance with a clear line. The bullets hit the first champion, minion or structure, so aim around the frontline.
- Use the shield from Dirty Fighting. Every third hit against a champion shields him, so keep attacking during trades.
How do shopping and Mark work for Akshan?
ARAM has no recall. The fountain is where you buy, once at the start and after each respawn, and Statikk Shiv components are the first stop for the chain lightning. Health relics on the lane are worth taking between fights, since Dirty Fighting’s shield is his only sustain.
Your summoner spells are fixed once you load in. A Scoundrel running away is a good snowball target, since Mark gives a dash onto whoever it hits. Flash or Mark? For what it’s worth, Flash keeps him alive when Heroic Swing is down, and staying alive is how he gets to revive anyone.
Is Akshan good in ARAM?
Yes. His buffs, 105% damage dealt and 95% damage taken, help him survive and burst, and Going Rogue’s revives fit a mode where champions die every fight. To be fair, Heroic Swing has fewer walls to work with than on the Rift. Long story short, he trades terrain play for revive value.
Who beats him in mid? The Akshan counters guide lists five champions. Our guide to LoL roles explains mid lane on the Rift, the LoL items database covers the items above in full, and the Akshan skins page shows his outfits.
Put simply, the Akshan ARAM build is Statikk Shiv, Infinity Edge, The Collector and Lord Dominik’s Regards or Guardian Angel, and the plan is to hunt Scoundrels and finish them with Comeuppance.
FAQ
Is Akshan buffed in ARAM?
Yes, twice: 105% damage dealt and 95% damage taken, per the Wiki’s champion data for patch 26.21.
What items does the Akshan ARAM build use?
Statikk Shiv, Infinity Edge, The Collector, and Lord Dominik’s Regards or Guardian Angel, with Berserker’s Greaves.
Can Akshan revive allies on the Howling Abyss?
Yes. Going Rogue marks enemies who kill his allies as Scoundrels, and killing a Scoundrel revives the allies they killed, the same as on Summoner’s Rift.
Why build The Collector on Akshan?
Its Death passive executes champions below 5% Health, and Comeuppance deals damage based on missing Health, so the two work toward the same finish.
How was this build chosen?
Comeuppance’s missing-Health scaling and Going Rogue’s revives, as written for patch 26.21, pointed at crit and execute items. No win-rate data was used.
