Free Marvel Rivals Skins: How to Get Them in Season 10.5
Free Marvel Rivals skins come from three official sources: season event missions, the Gold rank reward each half-season, and Twitch Drops. In October 2026 you can still earn Thor’s The Avengers costume, Rocket Raccoon’s Trash King, Jeff the Land Shark’s Razor-Tooth (Gold rank) and Angela’s Will of Galacta (Twitch Drops) without paying.
Every name and date below comes from NetEase’s official patch notes on marvelrivals.com. Free costumes in this game are almost always time-limited, so the dates matter more than the list itself. Miss the window and the costume usually either disappears or comes back later in the store for Units.
Which Marvel Rivals skins are free right now?
Four, as of October 21, 2026. Here they are with the exact windows NetEase published:

Trash King is the one with the shortest runway left that doesn’t need Twitch. Honestly, if you only play on weekends, start the All Hallows’ Glow missions first and leave Thor for later, since the Infinity Finale event runs into December.
How do you get free skins in Marvel Rivals?
Three ways keep coming back season after season. None of them involves third-party “free skin” sites, which are scams in every case we’ve looked at (a costume can only reach your account from NetEase, and costume mods can get that account banned).
Event missions
Almost every big event has one free costume at the end of its mission track, with premium costumes on a paid track next to it. You play matches, complete the listed missions and claim the reward in the event tab. For what it’s worth, 2026 has had one almost every month:
- March: Namor’s Sea Samba, Flight Mode! World Tour Merch Vol.2.
- April brought Mantis’ Black & Gold from ESU Open Day, then Emma Frost’s Gala Glam from Hellfire Gala 2026.
- May: Ultron’s Cybernetic Drip, Savage Land event.
- Groot’s Ironwood Serpent came with the Shenloong Tournament in June.
- July: Magneto’s Magnetic Vintage, Van Dyne Couture.
- August and September gave The Punisher’s Sandstorm Soldier and Venom’s President Ozzy.
Same pattern every time (free costume at the end, premium ones beside it).
Gold rank rewards
Reach Gold or higher in Competitive during a half-season and you get that half-season’s Gold costume. The catch is the 10-match rule: since Season 1.5, NetEase requires at least 10 Competitive matches in the current season before you can claim rank rewards. Recent Gold costumes:
- Season 8: Devil Dinosaur, Corporate Cruncher.
- Season 9, which gave Jubilee’s Crimson Crown.
- Season 10: Gorr the God Butcher, Gods’ Graveyard.
- Season 10.5 (current), Jeff the Land Shark’s Razor-Tooth.

Twitch Drops
Each season and half-season launch comes with a round of Twitch Drops. You link your game account to Twitch, watch eligible streams for the required time and claim the costume. Season 10 gave Squirrel Girl’s Will of Galacta from September 11 to October 9, 2026. Angela gets it now (until November 6). Watch time counts only during the drops period, so starting late can mean missing it. Bundle codes were once a fourth route, but every public Marvel Rivals code had expired by October 2026.
Are free Marvel Rivals skins worth the effort?
Mostly, yes. In practice, event tracks are built around normal play, so you’re earning them while doing what you’d do anyway. The Gold rank costume is the only one that asks for some skill, and Twitch Drops ask for nothing but time with a stream running in the background.
What you won’t get free: premium event costumes, Battle Pass costumes, since the Season 10 pass, The Godbomb, sells its 10 costume sets, and store bundles. Small free extras do show up, though. NetEase has added free customization options to costumes people already own, like removing the cape on Cyclops’ Elegant Eye in September 2026, and MVP animations are sometimes handed out free to bundle owners.
Can you get old free skins back?
Sometimes. The Jeff Rodeo emote, free for April Fool’s 2026, moved to the store after its three-day giveaway, and NetEase has brought back older paid content too: the Season 4 Battle Pass returned for a limited time in Season 10. There’s no fixed rule, so treat every free costume as a one-time chance.
