T1 Jinx

Not gonna lie, when Riot announced the T1 Worlds skins I was mostly watching for the Yone and Lee Sin reveals. Jinx wasnt even on my radar. Then I saw the splash and something about that red and white color scheme with the championship trophy vibes just clicked. Locked it in day one. Been running this in Diamond for a couple months now and I have opinions.

What T1 Jinx actually brings to the table

This is an Epic tier skin at 1350 RP so you get the standard package: new model, new VFX, new recall animation. Voice lines stay base. Sarah Anne Williams still doing her thing, which honestly works fine because Jinx’s default VO is already top shelf.

The model itself leans heavy into the T1 red and white jersey aesthetic. Jinx is wearing what looks like a stylized esports uniform with some flair added so it doesnt just look like a merch ad. Pow-Pow and Fishbones both got the T1 treatment. Clean redesigns. The rockets on Fishbones have this red trail VFX that reads really well in teamfights, especially when you’re sitting backline and launching R across the map.

Played maybe 40 games with this skin last September and the Q swap between minigun and rocket launcher feels visually distinct enough. Some Jinx skins blur that transition but T1 Jinx keeps it sharp. The W zap has a red energy line that’s satisfying to land in lane, particularly when you’re poking through minions to chunk the enemy ADC.

Recall animation is the highlight for me. Trophy celebration energy, very on brand for a Worlds skin. Kinda feels like Riot actually put thought into making it feel like a victory lap rather than just slapping a logo on a champion and calling it done.

The Worlds 2023 line and how Jinx fits

T1 Jinx dropped August 14, 2024 as part of the World Champions: 2023 skinline. Late summer release, about nine months after T1 took the trophy. Alsie Lau, Kelvin Law, and Mo Yan handled the splash art and they captured the energy well. Three artists on one splash is a lot of hands but the result is cohesive.

The World Champions line always has this specific vibe. Part esports celebration, part fantasy skin. T1 Jinx walks that line better than some past Worlds skins I can think of. (Random aside: my friend who one-tricks Jinx immediately set the splash as his Discord pfp and hasn’t changed it since.) The red palette ties it into the broader T1 set with Yone, Lee Sin, and the rest without making every skin look identical.

One Elite chroma available. It shifts the palette toward a deeper red with orange accents. Honestly the base version reads cleaner on the Rift but the Elite chroma has its fans. Legacy vault skin so you cant just grab it whenever you want. Hextech only these days unless Riot brings back the bundle during some event.

Should you pick up T1 Jinx?

Real verdict: this sits in the upper half of Jinx skins for me. Not top spot. Star Guardian Jinx and Project Jinx are tough competition in that 1350 RP bracket. But T1 Jinx has something those don’t, which is the esports narrative baked in. If you watched Faker and the squad run through Worlds 2023, this skin carries that memory.

Could be wrong here but I think the VFX on this one age well. Red particles on a champion who’s constantly spamming abilities in late-game teamfights just works. Been spamming this in Diamond when I get ADC in the last couple weeks and the auto attack animations feel smooth. Might be placebo. Probably is. Still counts.

1350 RP feels fair for what you get. The recall alone is worth seeing a few dozen times before it gets old. Skip this if you have zero connection to T1 or competitive League, because then its basically just a red Jinx skin. But for anyone who follows pro play or just wants something different from the usual fantasy themes, T1 Jinx delivers. Top pick for Jinx mains who care about the esports side of things. In the bot lane specifically this skin stands out against the usual parade of Star Guardian and Odyssey Jinx players you see every other game in season 14.
