Crystalis Motus Ashe

Crystalis Motus Ashe showed up in the Mythic shop December 2023 and the community reaction was immediately positive. Francis Tneh and West Studio did the splash showing Ashe in this crystalline warrior form that looks like she was carved from living gemstone. Different energy from every other Ashe skin in the catalog. Not ice archer, not cowgirl, not tech soldier. Crystal warrior. Grabbed it the second it appeared in my Mythic rotation because I had been sitting on essence for months waiting for something worth spending it on.

Crystal VFX across Ashe’s kit

The model redesigns Ashe with crystalline armor elements and a bow made of formed crystal. The movement animation has subtle crystal particle effects trailing behind her. In lane the model catches light differently depending on the angle which is a small detail I noticed after about 20 games. Kinda feels like the team spent extra time on how light interacts with the textures here because the way it shifts during auto attack animations is something I havent seen on most 1350 tier skins let alone a Mythic rotation piece.

Ranger’s Focus on Q stacks build with crystal glow indicators on the model. Once activated, Ashe fires rapid crystal arrows with prismatic trail effects. Volley on W fans out crystal shards in an arc. The crystal projectiles have a slightly different shape profile than standard ice arrows which reads distinctly. Hawkshot on E sends a crystal hawk across the map. Enchanted Crystal Arrow on R fires a massive crystal projectile that leaves a prismatic contrail across the Rift. Long range R shots look like a gemstone comet crossing the screen.

One chroma available called Reclaimed which shifts the crystal palette. No new voice lines. Melissa Hutchison’s Ashe voice applies. New recall with crystal formation effects. The recall has Ashe forming crystals from the ground around her before teleporting. The recall animation is maybe 4 seconds of pure flex. Crystals erupt in a circle, Ashe floats up, and the whole thing shatters into particles on completion. Played a ranked game on patch 14.1 where I recalled in the enemy tribush after getting a double kill bot lane and the recall animation felt earned in a way that most skins just dont deliver.

Crystalis Motus Ashe is Mythic tier with Special pricing. Released December 6, 2023. Part of the Crystalis Motus skinline. Available through Mythic shop rotation. When its not in rotation you wait. One Reclaimed chroma adds a minor variant option.

Another Ashe skin worth owning

Ashe already has High Noon at Legendary tier and PROJECT at Legendary tier. Two strong options for 1820 RP each. Crystalis Motus offers something different aesthetically because the crystal theme is completely separate from Ashe’s usual ice, western, or tech skin lines. If you play Ashe and want visual variety beyond her Legendaries, this Mythic fills a gap. The Crystalis Motus skinline in general has a distinct identity compared to most thematic lines Riot pushes. Not tech, not fantasy, not cosmic. Just crystalline. Clean.

Not gonna say its better than High Noon because High Noon has the full voice rework that Mythic skins lack. But the crystal VFX on R specifically are gorgeous. Been running this as my default Ashe skin for ADC games since about February 2024 and I still notice new particle details occasionally. The W volley in particular has this crystal fracture sound effect that pairs well with the visual. Could be wrong here but I think this is one of the better Mythic shop options for any ADC main who plays Ashe even semi-regularly. Worth the Mythic Essence, easy. Pass if she isnt in your pool though because Mythic Essence is not something you want to waste on a champion you touch once every 30 games. (random aside: my duo partner who is an Ashe one-trick literally texted me at midnight when this hit the shop rotation)
