Ashe ARAM Build and Guide
Updated for patch 26.20. Ability details come from Riot’s official game data for this patch; ARAM balance numbers come from the League of Legends Wiki’s champion data.
An Ashe ARAM build starts with two buffs: in ARAM, Ashe deals 105% damage, takes 100% damage and gets 3% more attack speed. On top of that, Volley tags a whole cone of grouped enemies. Her ult gets a straight lane to fly down, too.
Item suggestions here are editorial and based on what each item does in the current patch. We don’t use win-rate data.

How is Ashe changed in ARAM?
| ARAM modifier | Ashe |
|---|---|
| Damage dealt | 105% |
| Damage taken | 100% |
| Attack speed | 103% |
A clean buff. More damage and a little more attack speed on a champion whose damage is all attacks.
Why does Ashe fit the Howling Abyss?
- Frost Shot: every attack slows, and slowed enemies take more damage from her.
- Ranger’s Focus: stacks from attacks, then a burst of attack speed.
- Volley: a cone of arrows that slows everyone it hits, ideal against a grouped team.
- Hawkshot: scouting, less useful on a single lane, but it still reveals what is behind the enemy front line.
- Enchanted Crystal Arrow: a stun that lasts longer the farther it flies, and in ARAM the lane is long and straight.
What should an Ashe ARAM build focus on?
Attack speed and crit, like on Summoner’s Rift. Kraken Slayer (45 Attack Damage, 40% Attack Speed) deals bonus physical damage on every third attack. Runaan’s Hurricane (40% Attack Speed, 25% crit) fires bolts at two extra enemies near her target, which shreds in ARAM because the enemy team is always on top of each other. Infinity Edge works too, though Ashe’s crits deal no bonus damage and apply a stronger slow instead, so check that trade-off before you buy it.
For what it’s worth, because Ashe’s crits don’t deal extra damage, attack-speed items do more for her than stacking crit damage.
How do you play Ashe on the Howling Abyss?
- Volley the group. The cone slows everyone it hits, setting up your team’s engage.
- Fire the arrow from far away. Enchanted Crystal Arrow stuns longer the farther it travels.
- Stay at max range. Ashe has no dash, so positioning is her only escape.
- Take relics carefully. They often sit in the open, and she is easy to catch there.
How do shopping and Mark change the plan?
Two ARAM rules hit different from Rift. You can’t recall to buy items, so you shop at the fountain at the start and each time you respawn (plan the next item before you die, not after). Health relics in the lane are the other way to recover, since there is no going back to base to heal. And the mode’s summoner spell, Mark, throws a snowball that lets you dash to the target it hits.
Ashe rarely wants to dash into enemies, so Mark is optional for her; you’re better off taking a defensive spell on a champ with zero mobility. You pick it before the game loads, and it stays fixed for the whole match. Either way, don’t autopilot that pick, it matters as much as your first item.
What do those numbers mean in a fight?
How much is a 5% damage buff on a marksman? If her attacks deal 1,000 damage over a fight on the Rift, they deal 1,050 in ARAM, and the 3% attack speed adds a few more attacks on top. Her damage taken sits at 100%, so she dies at normal speed.
Her slow matters more in the single lane. Every attack slows the target, and slowed enemies take more damage from her, so whoever she hits first has a hard time leaving. Volley spreads that slow across a group.
Which enemies give her the most trouble? Engage champions who can reach her, like Leona or Nautilus, and anyone who blocks projectiles, like Braum or Yasuo. Our counters page explains each matchup.
Is Ashe good in ARAM?
Yes, she is one of the easier marksmen to play there, and the catch is the same as everywhere else in League: she has no dash. Teams with hooks and dives make her life hard. For the Summoner’s Rift side, see our Ashe counters guide. Her skins are on the Ashe skins page, and you can look up every item mentioned in our LoL items database.
Put simply, a good Ashe ARAM game is Volley on the group, arrows from far away, and never standing where a hook can reach.
