Valorant Night Market 2026: Current Dates, Eligible Skins, and How It Works

The Valorant Night Market is closed right now. The last one ran from September 22 to October 6, 2026, and Riot hasn’t announced the next date yet. For the past four years a market has opened in December, so that’s the safest bet. Each market gives you six random discounted skins that only you can see.

When is the next Valorant Night Market?

Nobody outside Riot knows the exact day. Riot confirms each market on its official social accounts shortly before it opens, and the date isn’t printed anywhere in the client ahead of time.

What we do have is history. A market has run in every Act since Episode 1, Act 3 in December 2020, and the last one of each year has landed in December four years running: December 7, 2022, December 13, 2023, December 16, 2024 and December 11, 2025. So if the pattern holds, expect the next one sometime in December 2026, probably around the start of the last Act of the year. Could Riot break the pattern? Sure, it has shifted dates before (the June 2023 market was pulled on launch day over a store bug and came back a week later).

Leaks and “confirmed” countdown sites are guesses until Riot posts. Honestly, the in-game tarot card icon is the only reliable signal.

Night Market dates so far this year

Riot ran five markets in 2026. They lasted between 13 and 25 days, which is a wider spread than most guides admit. The dates below are the ones Riot announced on its official X account, as compiled by PCGamesN (updated October 8, 2026).

Notice the trend? Summer and autumn markets have been two weeks, while the winter ones stretch over the holidays. That matters if you’re saving VP, because a two-week window leaves little time to top up.

The closing hour also depends on your region. Riot rolls patches and store changes out shard by shard, so a market that ends on a Tuesday in North America can still be open for part of Wednesday in Asia. Trust the countdown on the market screen.

How does the Valorant Night Market work?

You get six face-down cards, and each one hides a weapon skin at a discounted price. Flip them in the client and that set is yours until the market closes. Riot’s own Night Market support article spells out the rules:

• Six random weapon skins, offered only to you and discounted.
• Select, Deluxe and Premium Edition skins can all appear.
• At least 2 offers are Premium Edition or higher, guaranteed.
• No more than 2 offers for the same weapon, unless that would leave you short of six.
• Exclusive melee skins can show up too, now and then.

Two more things trip people up. Skins you already own don’t appear, so a big collection means a smaller pool and, in practice, more interesting offers. And there’s no reroll. Riot added the two-Premium guarantee and the same-weapon cap in February 2021 after the first markets handed out piles of cheap Select skins, but it has never added a way to refresh your cards.

Your offers don’t expire after one look, either. Flip the cards on day one, come back on day twelve, and the same six skins sit there at the same price. That’s it.

Which skins can appear in the Night Market?

Anything older than one Act, from the Select, Deluxe or Premium tiers. Riot’s wording is that the pool covers content from “greater than one Act ago”, so a market in Act 3 can offer skins from Act 1 but not Act 2. A bundle released in the current or previous Act won’t show up, however much you want it.

What stays out? Battle pass and agent contract rewards aren’t sold in the store at all, so they never appear. Ultra Edition and Exclusive Edition gun skins like Mystbloom aren’t in the listed tiers either. Melee is the one gray area, since Riot says Exclusive melee skins can occasionally appear (rare, but it happens).

We don’t keep a list of every eligible collection here. Riot doesn’t publish one, and the old list on this page went out of date within an Act. The rule above lets you check any skin yourself in ten seconds: look up its release Act, count forward.

How much do Night Market discounts save?

It depends on the tier, because a percentage off a cheap skin saves very little. Riot doesn’t publish the discount range or how it’s rolled, so treat any “maximum 49%” figure from a fan site as community observation, not a rule.

The base prices are fixed, though. These are the standard store prices per tier (the same ones we use on our VP to dollars converter), with two example discounts worked out:

Put simply, 40% off a Premium skin saves 710 VP, which is about $7 at the $9.99 for 1,000 VP pack price. The same 40% on a Select skin saves 350 VP. Thing is, the card you’re excited about isn’t always the good deal, so do the math before you click Purchase.

VP packs don’t come in neat sizes, either. A 1,065 VP skin with 900 VP in your wallet means buying a whole pack for the difference, and the leftover sits there until the next store purchase.

How to open your Night Market cards

When a market is live, the client shows a pop-up on your first login, and after that a tarot card icon near the Store tab at the top right of the main menu.

1. Launch Valorant and wait for the main menu.
2. Click the tarot card icon next to the Store tab.
3. Click each of the six cards to flip it and see the skin and its discounted price.
4. Select a skin and confirm the purchase with your VP.

Console players get the same market on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, with offers bought from the console store’s VP balance. Is your icon missing while friends have theirs? Restart the client first; the market usually appears after a fresh login.

Can you refund a Night Market skin?

Usually yes, if you haven’t used it. Night Market skins are bought with VP like any other store item, so Riot’s standard refund rules apply: content you haven’t used can be refunded within 14 days through a support ticket, and a skin counts as used once you’ve equipped it in a match. Long story short, buy, don’t equip, and decide within the two weeks. If the market closes before you make up your mind, the refund window still runs from the purchase date.

Is it worth saving VP for the Night Market?

For a skin you actually use, yes. For a random weapon you never buy in a real round, no. Real talk, a cheap Bucky skin is still a skin you’ll never see.

The useful habit is simple. When an Act is close to its end and a market hasn’t run yet, stop spending on the daily store and keep enough VP for one Premium offer, roughly 1,100 VP at a decent discount. If the market hands you nothing for your main weapons, the VP carries over and nothing is lost.
