Spirit Blossom Ivern

First game I played with Spirit Blossom Ivern was around 3 AM on a Wednesday, couldn’t sleep, queued up a jungle game in Diamond. The loading screen hit and I just sat there staring at the splash for a solid ten seconds. Riot finally gave the tree man a Spirit Blossom skin and honestly not gonna lie, the vibe is exactly what Ivern needed. Ethereal. Calm. Like someone dropped cherry blossoms on the Rift and Ivern showed up to water them.

VFX and recall on Spirit Blossom Ivern

For a Standard tier skin with special pricing, Spirit Blossom Ivern packs new VFX and a fresh recall animation. No new voice lines, David Lodge’s base VO stays. Voice is unchanged from base. Thats fine honestly because his default lines already fit the peaceful forest spirit energy.

The brushmaker passive gets the Spirit Blossom treatment. Petals drift through the brush Ivern creates, pinks and soft purples replacing the usual green. Q roots wrap targets in flowering vines. Pretty clean visual clarity too, I could track the root duration easily in teamfights. The shield on E carries this wispy blossom effect that floats around your teammate. Looks great on a diving bruiser, had my Darius running around with sakura petals during a gank top lane last week.

Daisy is where it gets interesting. She picks up the Spirit Blossom aesthetic hard. Stone golem energy replaced with something that feels more like a guardian spirit. Been running this in ranked for about a dozen games now and the Daisy summon animation reads well even in chaotic late-game fights. The recall is solid. Ivern sits down cross-legged, blossoms spiral around him, Daisy does a little dance. Short and clean.

Spirit Blossom line and release context

Released April 30, 2025. Spirit Blossom is one of Riot’s most popular skinlines at this point, been going strong since 2020. Ivern joining the Spirit Blossom roster makes perfect sense. The whole line leans into Ionian spirit mythology and Ivern’s connection to nature slots in naturally. Could be wrong here but I think he shouldve been in the original Spirit Blossom batch back in season 10.

No chromas on this one. Zero. (Random aside: Ivern mains have been begging for a Spirit Blossom skin on Reddit for years and Riot actually delivered.) Special pricing on the RP, not the standard 975 or 1350 bracket. Available now, shop has it.

Should you pick up Spirit Blossom Ivern?

Real verdict: if you play Ivern at all, this is a must. The VFX refresh alone makes jungle clear feel better. Played maybe 15 games with it across two days and I keep noticing small details, the way petals scatter when you path through river, how Daisy’s knockup leaves a bloom on the ground. Kinda feels like Riot put more care into this than the tier suggests.

Best Ivern skin? Might be. Old God Ivern goes harder on the dark fantasy angle and Astronaut has the novelty factor. But Spirit Blossom Ivern hits the sweet spot between clean visuals and thematic fit. Worth the special price for mains, and even if you only pick Ivern into specific comps for peel and backline support, this skin makes those games feel premium. Skip it only if you literally never touch the champ.
