Been running this skin since it dropped in season 10 and honestly its one of those Worlds skins that just works. FPX Lee Sin landed April 30, 2020, part of the World Champions: 2019 set celebrating FunPlus Phoenix’s run. Not every Worlds skin hits, but Lee Sin got lucky here. The black and red palette with gold accents reads clean on the Rift, and you can tell Riot put effort into making Tian’s pick feel right.

What FPX Lee Sin actually brings to the table

So at 1350 RP you’re getting the full Epic treatment. New VFX across the board. The Q resonating strike trails orange-gold particles that pop hard against darker map sections. Played maybe 40 games with this last month and the Q tracking feels visually sharper than base, even though its obviously identical mechanically. Could be wrong here but the W shield VFX has this subtle gold shimmer that makes it easier to tell when the shield is active versus expired.

E groundslam sends out these dark red ripples. Clean effect. Not overdone like some of the flashier Lee Sin skins where you lose track of hitbox edges. The R kick connects with a burst of FPX-branded particles, black and gold. Seen this ult maybe thousands of times at this point and it still reads well in chaotic teamfights where you’re trying to insec their backline carry.

New recall animation too. Lee Sin does this martial arts stance with the FPX banner, pretty standard for Worlds skins but its a nice touch. Voice lines stay base, no new VO. Thats expected at this price point for a Worlds skin. The model itself wears the FPX jersey-inspired outfit with the phoenix motif worked into the design. Not gonna lie, the hood detail specifically sells the whole look.

The FPX line and where Lee Sin fits

Pan Chengwei handled the artwork and the splash captures the energy well. Lee Sin mid-kick with that FPX gold energy trailing behind him. World Champions: 2019 was a solid batch overall. You had FPX Thresh, FPX Gangplank, FPX Vayne, FPX Malphite in that same release window. Lee Sin sits comfortably in the middle of that lineup, not the standout but far from the weakest.

The skin has 1 chroma total. Just the Elite version, which swaps the color scheme to a darker black with deep red accents. Honestly the Elite chroma looks more intimidating than the base, gives off that prestige vibe without the prestige price tag. (Random aside: I use the Elite chroma exclusively now because the base gold feels too bright on my monitor at 2 AM ranked sessions.)

Legacy vault skin, so you cant just grab it whenever you want. Gotta wait for Worlds events or get lucky with Hextech crafting. Season 10 release puts it at about six years old now. Kinda feels like Riot forgot about it compared to the God Fist and Storm Dragon options Lee Sin mains usually gravitate toward.

Should you pick up FPX Lee Sin?

Real verdict: this is a solid mid-tier Lee Sin skin in a champion pool thats absolutely stacked with options. 1350 RP feels fair for what you get. The VFX are clean without being distracting, which matters when you’re trying to land ward-hop combos in Diamond and dont need visual noise messing with your muscle memory.

If you’re a Lee Sin one-trick you probably already own this or you’re waiting for it to rotate back. For everyone else, God Fist and Muay Thai still compete hard at different price points. But FPX Lee Sin has that esports legacy angle that the others cant touch. Spammed this in ranked last Tuesday specifically because Gen.G was playing and it put me in that Worlds mood. Went 7-2 that night, might be coincidence but I’m not changing the formula now.

Skip it if you only play Lee Sin occasionally. Worth hunting down if you main him and want something different from the usual Muay Thai autopick. The Elite chroma pushes it over the edge for me personally. Top pick for Lee Sin mains who care about the competitive heritage side of their skin collection.
