Been maining Lee Sin on and off since season 3 and Dragon Fist was the first skin I ever bought for him. Back in early 2012 when this dropped, Lee Sin had maybe two other options. This one hit different. The martial arts fantasy just clicked with his kit in a way the other skins didnt at the time, and honestly it still holds up surprisingly well for a skin that’s over a decade old.
What Dragon Fist actually brings to the table
So this is an Epic tier skin at 1350 RP, and it comes with new VFX which is the main draw. The model swap puts Lee Sin in a classic kung fu outfit – red headband, white pants, bare chest. Clean look. Not gonna lie, the silhouette reads immediately as “martial artist” which is exactly what you want on the Rift.
The Q resonating strike particles got a warm golden tone that pops nicely against darker maps. His E has this subtle ground effect that I think looks better than base, especially in teamfights where you need visual clarity on your slow radius. W safeguard keeps it simple but the shield VFX got a slight gold tint that matches the theme. Ult is where it shines though – the Dragon’s Rage kick has this satisfying burst of energy on impact. Played maybe 150 games with this skin last season in Diamond and the R animation just feels crisp every time you land an insec combo.
Voice lines stay base, no new VO. Same voice, same quotes. Standard for an Epic from this era. No new recall animation either, which is the one area where you feel the skin’s age. Modern 1350 RP skins almost always have a custom recall, but Dragon Fist predates that standard by years.
Lunar Revel roots and the splash
Dragon Fist Lee Sin released January 10, 2012. Part of the Lunar Revel skinline, which was Riot’s early attempt at Lunar New Year themed content. Pandart Studio nailed the splash – Lee Sin mid-strike with a dragon energy coiling behind him. The composition is solid even by today’s standards. (Random aside: I had this splash as my desktop background for like two years in college.)
The Lunar Revel line has grown a lot since 2012. Firecracker, Lunar Beast, Lunar Guardian – Riot kept expanding the Chinese New Year celebration skins. Dragon Fist was one of the originals though. Kinda feels like it deserves more credit for kickstarting what became one of Riot’s biggest annual skin events.
11 chromas total for this skin which is a lot. Duel Black is my personal favorite – the dark color scheme with gold accents looks menacing in lane. Sapphire hits a completely different vibe, almost like a water-themed martial artist. Meteorite has this earthy brown that I think reads cleaner than people expect. Not sure if it’s just me but the Royal chroma with that purple and dark red combo gives off villain energy in the best way. Most of the others are fine but those four get the most rotation in my games.
Where Dragon Fist sits in Lee Sin’s lineup
Real talk though. Lee Sin has one of the deepest skin pools in the game. God Fist exists at Legendary tier. Storm Dragon exists. Muay Thai is the sweaty tryhard pick that every Lee Sin one-trick in Diamond and above seems to lock in. So where does Dragon Fist land?
Somewhere in the upper middle. Its not the flashiest and it wont compete with God Fist’s transformed model or Storm Dragon’s over-the-top VFX. But it has personality. The kung fu movie aesthetic is distinct from every other Lee Sin skin. Muay Thai goes for realism, God Fist goes mythical, Nightbringer goes dark fantasy. Dragon Fist just goes classic martial arts film and nails it.
1350 RP feels fair for what you get. Shop has it permanently so no vault anxiety. Could be wrong here but I think this is the best value Lee Sin skin if you factor in the 11 chromas giving you essentially 12 different looks. Had a ranked game last Wednesday around midnight where my jungler was running the Jade chroma and I genuinely thought it was a different skin for a second.
Should you buy it? If you main Lee Sin and want something clean without dropping 1820 on God Fist, this is your pick. The VFX are solid, the model aged well, and the chroma variety is unmatched in his catalog. Skip it if you already own Muay Thai and only play Lee Sin occasionally – one mid-tier Lee skin is enough for a non-main. But for Lee Sin mains climbing through ranked, Dragon Fist earns its spot in the rotation. Been daily driving it alongside Storm Dragon this season and I keep coming back to it. Top pick for Lee Sin mains who value that classic martial arts feel over spectacle.
