Gold efficiency
| Stat | Amount | Gold per point | Gold value |
|---|---|---|---|
| Health | 1000 | 2.67 g | 2667 g |
| Base Health Regen % | 100 | 3 g | 300 g |
| Total stat value | 2967 g |
Gold efficiency = stat value ÷ item cost = 2967 ÷ 3100 = 96%. The gold per point comes from basic items of the same patch (for example, Long Sword: 35 g per Attack Damage). Passives and actives are not counted.

Warmog’s Armor is a 3,100 gold Health item in League of Legends: 1,000 Health and 100% Base Health Regen in patch 26.21, plus two passives. Warmog’s Vitality grants extra Health equal to 12% of your Health from items, and Warmog’s Heart restores Health quickly out of combat once you have 2000 bonus Health.
What do Warmog’s Vitality and Warmog’s Heart do?
Vitality is a multiplier. You gain bonus Health equal to 12% of all the Health you get from items, so the more Health items you stack, the more Warmog’s adds on top, Warmog’s own 1,000 included.
Heart is the famous one. If you have at least 2000 bonus Health and haven’t taken damage for 8 seconds, you regenerate Health every second. The data file doesn’t give the regeneration figure, so check the tooltip for the exact rate. The 2000 requirement is the catch: Warmog’s alone doesn’t reach it, so the passive switches on only once you’ve bought more Health.
What does that mean in practice? A tank who steps out of a fight for 8 seconds can come back near full Health without recalling. Between objective fights, that saves a lot of walking (and a lot of lost map time).
Is Warmog’s Armor gold efficient?
Just under break-even, at 96%. Count only the listed stats and you get 2,967 gold of value inside a 3,100 gold item.
The split: 1,000 Health at 2.67 gold per point is 2,667 gold, and 100% Base Health Regen adds 300. Neither passive is counted. To be fair, Vitality alone covers the gap as soon as you own a couple of other Health items, since 12% of a large Health pool is a lot of free Health.
What does it build from?
Two Giant’s Belts (900 gold each) and a Crystalline Bracer (800 gold), plus 500 gold to combine. Every part is pure Health or Health regeneration, so the build order matters less than for most items. Crystalline Bracer first if you’re taking poke in lane and need the regeneration; a Giant’s Belt first if you just need a bigger Health bar right now.
It doesn’t upgrade into anything.
How has the item changed?
Riot’s data has Warmog’s from 2013, and the stat line has been rebalanced around its passives more than once; the recent changes, newest at the bottom:
- Patch 14.10: Health 750 → 1,000, Base Health Regen 200% → 100%.
- Patch 14.17: cost 3,100 → 3,300 gold.
- Patch 25.S1.1: Move Speed removed, effect text changed.
- Patch 25.06: cost 3,300 → 3,100 gold, effect text changed.
So the price went up and came back down, and the small Move Speed bonus disappeared in the 2025 season. Honestly, the core idea hasn’t moved in years: a huge Health number and out-of-combat healing for players who stack Health.
Who should buy Warmog’s Armor?
Tanks and Health-stacking fighters who already own other Health items, or plan to. Rarely first. Heart stays off until you pass 2000 bonus Health.
It pairs naturally with Heartsteel, which keeps adding permanent Health that Vitality then multiplies. Who should skip it? Champions who need resistances more than raw Health, for example against a team of Armor-shredding fighters or percent-Health damage. Look, Health is weakest against exactly those threats. If you’re not sure your champion stacks Health, our champion guides cover the usual builds, and for a tank who wants to rejoin every fight at full Health, Warmog’s Armor does that better than anything else in the shop.
