Vladimir Skins

14 skins available

Vladimir sits in this weird spot where half the playerbase forgets he exists until he one-shots their backline at 35 minutes. Been a Vlad player on and off since season 4, and his skin catalog tells a story. 14 skins deep now, ranging from 2010 launch-era stuff all the way to the 2025 Masque of the Black Rose drop. Some of these are genuinely incredible. Some feel like Riot forgot what makes Vlad cool. Not gonna lie, ranking them was harder than I expected because there's real quality spread across the whole list.

Vladimir's Skin Collection Over the Years

14 skins for a champion released in 2010. Thats a solid number but not insane compared to something like Lux or Ezreal. The breakdown looks like this: six Standard tier skins, seven Epics, and one Legendary. Blood Lord Vladimir stands alone at the top as the only Legendary, which is kinda wild considering how long Vlad has been in the game. One Legendary in 15 years. Riot really doesn't prioritize him the way they should.

The early skins tell you everything about where League was in 2010-2011. Count Vladimir, Marquis Vladimir, Nosferatu Vladimir. These were texture swaps with maybe a new model element or two. No new particles, no new voice lines. Just vibes. And honestly? Some of those vibes still hold up. Nosferatu specifically has this cult following that I respect even if the skin looks rough by modern standards.

Things picked up around 2012 with Blood Lord dropping as his first real premium offering. Then silence for a while. Soulstealer came through, Academy happened (we'll talk about that), and the Epics started flowing more regularly after 2018. Dark Waters in 2018, Nightbringer in 2019, Cosmic Devourer in 2020. Could be wrong here but it feels like Riot figured out that Vlad players will buy skins if the particles look good. Because that's really what sells a Vlad skin. His kit is all about the blood effects, the pool animation, the ult spreading across a teamfight. Get those right and you have a banger.

2022 brought Cafe Cuties which was... a choice. 2023 gave us Broken Covenant. Then 2025 dropped Masque of the Black Rose Vladimir, his newest. The pipeline hasnt dried up but it's not exactly generous either. Feels like Vlad gets one skin every 12-18 months on average now. Fine for mains who want variety. Not enough for one-tricks who burn through cosmetics fast.

Best Vladimir Skins Worth Your RP

Blood Lord Vladimir. Full stop. Been the king since 2012 and nothing has dethroned it. 1820 RP Legendary with a completely new voice over, custom animations across Q/W/E/R, and this deep commanding voice that makes you feel like you're playing a different champion. The auto attack animations alone are smoother than base Vlad by a mile. Locked this in for probably 300 ranked games across seasons 10 and 11. The ult visual when it pops on three or four targets in a teamfight is still one of the most satisfying things in the game. (Random aside: I used to have the Blood Lord splash as my desktop background for like two years straight.)

Might be overthinking it but I think Nightbringer Vladimir is the best Epic he has. 1350 RP and the particle work is insane. Dark red and black energy effects on every ability, the W pool looks menacing, and the recall animation goes hard. Played maybe 40 games with this last split in Diamond and the E charge-up visual is so much clearer than base. Actually helps with gameplay because you can track the channel better. Or maybe thats just me.

Dark Waters Vladimir deserves the third spot. Same 1350 RP price point but a completely different fantasy. Ocean-themed Vlad with deep blue and teal particles. The Q heal effect has this water splash that looks clean in lane. Released back in 2018 as part of the Bilgewater event and still holds up. Some skins from that era aged poorly but Dark Waters didn't.

Cosmic Devourer Vladimir rounds out the top picks. Space-themed blood mage. Sounds weird on paper, works beautifully in game. The purple and cosmic particle effects on his abilities give him this ethereal feel that's different from everything else in his catalog. Spammed this one during season 11 when I was climbing through Diamond 3. The W pool animation where he sinks into this cosmic void is probably my favorite single animation across all his skins.

Soulstealer Vladimir gets an honorable mention. Good skin. Clean effects. But it doesn't quite hit the same as the top four. Still worth 1350 RP if you want something different from the usual blood aesthetic.

Skinlines and Thematic Fit

Vladimir shows up in a surprising number of skinlines. Storybook (Count), High Society (Marquis), Trick-or-Treat territory with Nosferatu, Vandal, Bloodstone, Soulstealer, Academy, and Bilgewater: Curse of the Drowned. Plus Nightbringer, Cosmic, Cafe Cuties, and Broken Covenant from the more recent batches. Scattered everywhere.

Real talk though, the skinlines that work best for Vlad are the ones that lean into his dark aristocratic vampire fantasy. Count Vladimir and Marquis Vladimir understood the assignment even if the execution was limited by 2010 technology. Blood Lord doubles down on the vampire lord angle and it's perfect. Nightbringer takes the darkness in a different direction. These all feel like natural extensions of who Vladimir is on the Rift.

The ones that don't fit as well? Academy Vladimir is the obvious answer. Vlad in a school uniform. Played two games with it back in season 9 I think and switched back immediately. Not because it's ugly but because it strips away everything that makes him feel powerful. You're supposed to be this ancient hemomancer draining life from your enemies and instead you look like you're late for homeroom. Cafe Cuties falls into similar territory for me. Cute Vlad just doesn't land right when you're trying to dive the backline and E flash on three people.

Kinda feels like Riot doesn't always know what to do with him thematically. He fits dark fantasy perfectly but they keep putting him in lighthearted skinlines where his kit animations look out of place. The blood pool in a cafe aesthetic? Nah. Give me more stuff like Broken Covenant or Masque of the Black Rose where the theme actually complements the gameplay fantasy.

Budget vs Premium Picks

The price range on Vladimir skins goes from 520 RP at the low end up to 1820 for Blood Lord. Big spread. If you're on a budget, Nosferatu Vladimir at 520 RP is genuinely iconic. No new particles or anything but the model change is distinctive enough that people recognize it instantly in loading screen. Worth more than its price tag in terms of personality alone.

For the Standard tier stuff, Count Vladimir and Marquis Vladimir are fine but feel dated. Vandal Vladimir has some charm to it. None of these change particles though, so you're looking at model swaps only. Fair warning, if you've gotten used to Epic tier skins on other champions, going back to Standards on Vlad will feel rough.

The sweet spot is 1350 RP Epics. Nightbringer, Dark Waters, Cosmic Devourer. All of them deliver new particles, new recall animations, and model changes that actually transform the champion. Best value pick is probably Dark Waters if you want something unique, Nightbringer if you want raw cool factor. Either way 1350 RP feels fair for what you get on Vlad specifically because his abilities are so visual. Pool, E charge, ult spread. All of it pops with good particle work.

Blood Lord at 1820 is the premium play. Worth it? For mains, absolutely. The voice over alone changes the experience. For casual Vlad players who pick him once every 20 games, probably not. Grab an Epic instead and save the difference.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many skins does Vladimir have?

Vladimir has 14 skins total as of 2025. Six Standards from the early days, seven Epics that came mostly after 2016, and one Legendary in Blood Lord. Decent catalog for a champion thats been around since 2010. Not the biggest roster but enough variety that you wont get bored if you main him.

What is the best Vladimir skin?

Blood Lord Vladimir. Not even close in my opinion. Legendary tier with full VO, custom animations, and particles that make every ability feel premium. Been the gold standard since 2012. If you don't want to drop 1820 RP, Nightbringer is the best Epic alternative. Clean particles, dark aesthetic, holds up perfectly.

What is the cheapest Vladimir skin?

Nosferatu Vladimir at 520 RP. Oldest and cheapest in the catalog. No new particles or voice lines but the model is iconic. Genuinely one of the most recognizable cheap skins in the entire game. Classic horror movie vibe. Worth it for the meme factor alone honestly.

Does Vladimir have a Legendary skin?

Yeah, one. Blood Lord Vladimir, 1820 RP. Released 2012 and still holds up as his best skin. Full new voice over with this deep commanding tone, completely reworked animations on Q/W/E/R, and unique particles. Only Legendary he's ever gotten though. Kinda overdue for another one if you ask me.

What skinlines is Vladimir in?

He's scattered across a bunch. Storybook, High Society, Trick-or-Treat, Vandal, Bloodstone, Soulstealer, Academy, Bilgewater: Curse of the Drowned, Nightbringer, Cosmic, Cafe Cuties, Broken Covenant, and the new Masque of the Black Rose. Lots of variety. Dark themes suit him best though.

Does Vladimir have chromas?

Several of his newer Epic skins come with chroma options. Dark Waters, Nightbringer, Cosmic Devourer, Cafe Cuties, and Broken Covenant all have chromas available. The older Standards don't. If you want color variety, stick with any Epic from 2018 onward and you'll have options to customize.

When was Vladimir's last skin released?

Masque of the Black Rose Vladimir dropped in 2025. His most recent addition. Before that was Broken Covenant in 2023 and Cafe Cuties in 2022. Riot's been giving him roughly one skin per year lately which isn't bad. Not Lux-level attention but Vlad mains cant really complain about the pace.

Is Vladimir worth buying skins for?

If you play him regularly, absolutely. His kit is super visual with the blood effects, W pool, and ult spread. Good skins make those animations pop. Blood Lord transforms the entire experience. Even the 1350 Epics like Nightbringer or Dark Waters feel like meaningful upgrades. Wouldn't bother with Standards unless you're collecting though.
