Valorant Mobile Release Date: Everything You Need to Know

There is still no global Valorant Mobile release date. The game launched in China only, on August 19, 2025, co-developed with Tencent’s LIGHTSPEED STUDIOS, and Riot has confirmed a wider release is planned without giving a date or region list. As of October 2026 you can’t download it officially anywhere outside mainland China, on either Android or iOS.

What is the Valorant Mobile release date so far?

Only one region has a date. Valorant Mobile went live in China on August 19, 2025 (four months after Riot formally announced it). Everywhere else, the honest answer is “not announced.” Riot hasn’t named a month, a season, a beta window or even a first region outside China, and its own line at launch was that it would share more as plans develop.

That gap has lasted more than a year now.

Why is the global Valorant Mobile release date taking so long?

Riot hasn’t given a reason beyond its decision to start in China, so this part is partly reading between the lines. At the China launch, Valorant’s leadership described China as one of the biggest and most competitive mobile shooter markets, and the place where LIGHTSPEED, the Tencent studio co-building the game, has the deepest experience. Starting there made sense commercially.

A global release is a different job. Riot would need servers in every region, store approval on the global App Store and Google Play, and a payment and age-rating setup per country. Put simply, none of those steps is visible from the outside, so any article with a “confirmed” 2026 global date is guessing.

Here’s where things stand in each market players ask about most, based only on what Riot has said.

• China: available since August 19, 2025, on Android and iOS (through Chinese app stores).
• India, Southeast Asia, Brazil: no announcement. Riot hasn’t singled out any of them.
• North America and Europe: no announcement.
• Japan and Korea: no announcement.

So which region gets it second? Nobody outside Riot knows. When a date does arrive, it will appear on Riot’s official channels first, and that’s the only place worth trusting for it.

Can you play Valorant Mobile outside China now?

Not officially. The Chinese version requires an account on the Chinese service, and China’s rules for online games include real-name registration tied to a Chinese ID, which is the main wall for players abroad. Some players use VPNs and region-switched app store accounts to get in anyway. We don’t recommend it. You’d be playing on distant servers with high ping, in a client built for the Chinese market, and outside the terms that apply to you.

Real talk: if you want Valorant on the go right now, there isn’t a legitimate way. PC and console are the official options outside China.

How Valorant Mobile compares with PC and console

Riot has said less about the global version than about the Chinese one, so treat this as what’s known, not what’s final.

Cross-play is still an open question. How big is Valorant Mobile in China?

More than 70 million pre-registrations were reported before the August 2025 launch, and on May 3, 2026 Riot said on Weibo that daily active players had passed 10 million. That’s a daily figure, which is a stricter measure than the monthly numbers games usually quote. How Riot has rolled out mobile games before

Riot’s track record suggests a staged rollout rather than one global launch day. League of Legends: Wild Rift, its other big mobile game, opened region by region over several months starting in late 2020, with Southeast Asia and parts of East Asia first, then Europe, and the Americas months later. Mainland China got its own version later still, run with Tencent. If Valorant Mobile follows that pattern, the “global release” may really be a series of regional launches spread across a year or more.

Valorant’s own history points the same way. When Riot first confirmed the mobile version in June 2021, console was described as something being explored but not a high priority (that’s how the official Valorant wiki summarises it). Console then arrived first anyway, with a limited beta on June 14, 2024 and a full launch that summer, while mobile took until 2025 and only in one country. Plans at Riot clearly change, and announced priorities aren’t a schedule.

Valorant Mobile rumours worth ignoring

A game this popular with no global date attracts a lot of noise. Three kinds come up again and again. First, countdown timers and “leaked” dates on fan sites: Riot hasn’t given a date, so every timer counts down to a number someone made up. Second, APK files promising the global or English version. The only real build is the Chinese one from Chinese app stores, and an APK from a random download page is one of the easiest ways to put malware on a phone. Third, “global beta keys” sold or given away on social media. Riot hasn’t run a global beta, so there are no keys to sell.

Look, the pattern is simple: if a claim about the Valorant Mobile release date doesn’t link to Riot or the official Valorant accounts, it isn’t news.

How to get ready for the global launch

There’s no official global pre-registration page yet. Be careful with sites asking you to “pre-register” with your email or phone number, because Riot will announce sign-ups on its own channels and anything else is at best a fan list, at worst a phishing page.

What can you do now? Something boring but useful. Make sure your Riot account has a verified email and multi-factor authentication turned on.
