First game I loaded into with T1 Yone I just stood in fountain for a good ten seconds zooming in on the model. Not gonna lie, the red and white T1 color scheme on Yone hits harder than I expected for a Worlds skin. Been a Yone player since his release and something about seeing a champion you main wearing a team jersey just feels different in loading screen.

What T1 Yone actually changes on the Rift

So lets get this out of the way. T1 Yone is an Epic tier skin but the feature set is pretty stripped down compared to what you might expect. No new VFX on any abilities, no new voice lines, no voice filter, no unique recall animation. What you’re getting here is a model swap and texture work built around T1’s signature red, white, and black palette.

The base model puts Yone in what reads like a stylized competitive jersey fused with his usual swordsman aesthetic. The dual blades pick up the red accents from T1’s branding and honestly in teamfights thats where the skin shines most. Against the darker tones of Summoner’s Rift the red pops clean. Q thrust and E spirit form look the same as base Yone mechanically but the color shift on the model keeps things visually fresh.

Played maybe 40 games with this in Diamond last month. The auto attack animations feel identical to base which is important for Yone mains. Nothing worse than a skin messing with your Q timing or making your R engage feel off. Could be wrong here but I think the sword trails read slightly different just because of the color, not because Riot actually changed particles. Same deal with the W shield animation. Base VFX, new colors on the model underneath.

(Random aside: my duo partner who’s a massive T1 fan bought this skin before he even owned Yone. Had to watch him int three games learning the champion. Pain.)

The World Champions 2024 line and T1’s legacy

T1 Yone belongs to the World Champions: 2024 skinline. Faker and the squad taking home another Worlds title meant the full T1 roster got commemorated in game. The skinline follows the same formula Riot’s been doing for years with Worlds winner skins. Each player picks their signature champion and you get a themed set.

Yone was the pick here and it makes sense given how prominent he was in T1’s 2024 run. Legacy vault skin so you cant just walk into the shop and grab it whenever. Sits in the vault and comes around during special events or you need to roll it from chests if you’re feeling lucky. Loot eligible at least so Hextech crafting is an option.

One chroma available. The Elite variant shifts the palette toward a deeper red with silver-grey undertones. Kinda feels like the Elite chroma pushes the skin closer to a prestige vibe without the prestige price tag. I’ve seen maybe five of these in my games all season, most Yone players in my elo still run Spirit Blossom or the Heartsteel skin.

Is T1 Yone worth picking up?

Real verdict: this is a fan skin. Pure and simple. If you watched T1 win Worlds 2024 and you play Yone, the skin carries sentimental weight that no amount of VFX can replace. The T1 branding on the model, the competitive legacy behind it. That stuff matters to some players more than fancy particles.

But if you’re evaluating T1 Yone strictly on what it delivers for an Epic skin at 1350 RP, it’s light. No new VFX, voice lines stay base, no recall animation. You’re paying for the model and the T1 brand. Plenty of other Yone skins in the shop give you way more bang for your RP. Dawnbringer Yone exists. Inkshadow Yone exists. Both pack in custom VFX and sound design that T1 Yone just doesnt compete with.

Been running this in ranked on and off since around Tuesday two weeks ago. I keep it in rotation mostly for the flex factor. Last night specifically in a late game teamfight I landed a five-man R and the T1 Yone splash popping up in the kill feed just felt right. Season 14 energy. Worth 1350 RP if you main Yone and rep T1. Skip it if you’re just looking for the best Yone skin on pure cosmetic value because three or four other options beat it there. The Elite chroma helps but one chroma on a Worlds skin is standard, nothing special.

Straight talk: for T1 fans who lane with Yone, grab it when it rotates out of the vault. For everyone else, your RP goes further elsewhere.
