First time I saw Prestige True Damage Qiyana load into a game I thought someone was running a custom skin. The gold and white colorway hit so different from the base True Damage version that it barely registers as the same concept. Locked this in the second it dropped back in November 2019 and honestly not gonna lie, the flex factor alone carried me through a rough stretch of Diamond games that season.
How Prestige True Damage Qiyana actually looks in game
The whole outfit swaps from the streetwear black and neon palette into this clean white and gold luxury vibe. Qiyana’s ring weapon gets the gold treatment too, and the VFX follow suit. Her Q particles shift depending on element like normal but everything has this warm golden shimmer layered on top. Looks especially clean when you proc the ice element, the contrast between frost blue and gold is genuinely one of the best color combos Riot has put out.
W swaps feel smooth. Each element pick-up has updated particles with that signature Prestige glow. Not sure if it’s just me but the grass element Q feels slightly more visible than base True Damage, which matters when you’re trying to land poke in lane. Could be placebo. Probably is.
The recall animation stays the same choreography as True Damage but the color grading shifts everything gold. Qiyana does the confident pose with the music motif playing and it reads well. No new voice lines though. Voice stays default, which is fine because Montse Hernandez already killed it with the base VO. (Random aside: Qiyana’s voice lines are some of the most quotable in the game and I will die on that hill.)
Her ult is where the skin really earns it. The R shockwave along walls gets that golden particle burst and in a teamfight around dragon pit last season it genuinely looked cinematic. Trapped their Jinx and support against baron wall and the gold explosion just chef’s kiss. Three kills. Clean.
The True Damage line and release context
True Damage dropped November 10, 2019. Right around Worlds season 9. The whole skinline was Riot’s second music group project after K/DA and Qiyana was the centerpiece, front and center in the music video. The Prestige edition pushed that further into high fashion territory.
Jessica ‘OwleyCat’ Oyhenart handled the artwork. The splash captures the luxury angle perfectly, Qiyana standing there looking like she just walked off a runway with that golden ring weapon over her shoulder. Clean composition.
True Damage as a skinline includes Yasuo, Ekko, Senna, and Akali alongside Qiyana. Kinda feels like Qiyana got the best treatment out of the group with both a base and Prestige variant at launch. The line leans into hip-hop and streetwear aesthetics and the Prestige version cranks the designer brand energy up to eleven.
No chromas on this one. Prestige skins dont get chromas which makes sense since the whole point is the exclusive colorway itself. Mythic tier skin with special pricing, you couldnt just buy it with RP back in the day. Had to grind event tokens during the True Damage event or get lucky later through Mythic Essence.
Who should care about this skin
Real talk though. If you’re a Qiyana one-trick this is probably your most prestigious flex. Pun intended. Been spamming Qiyana in Diamond since season 10 on and off and this skin gets comments in lobby more than any other Qiyana option. People notice it. Battle Queen is flashier with more gameplay changes, sure, but Prestige True Damage carries status.
The skin is available through Mythic shop rotation now. Timing matters since it cycles in and out. Worth checking every patch if you’re hunting for it. Seen maybe 4 of these in my ranked games all of last season, its still relatively rare which adds to the appeal.
For Qiyana mains specifically the Q/W/E/R flow feels identical to base which is what you want. Some skins mess with your muscle memory or make ability edges harder to read. This one keeps everything clean. The golden particles are visible without being distracting, good balance for a skin that could easily have gone overboard with the bling.
The honest take
Prestige True Damage Qiyana holds up well for a 2019 Prestige skin. Some early Prestiges aged poorly, just gold chromas slapped on base skins. This one actually commits to the white and gold redesign across the whole model. Best Qiyana flex if you care about rarity. Played maybe 150 games with this skin across multiple seasons and I keep coming back to it over Battle Queen and Shockblade.
Not the most mechanically interesting Qiyana skin, thats Battle Queen with the extra animations. But for pure aesthetics and backline diving in style, Prestige True Damage is the one. If you see it in the Mythic shop rotation and you main Qiyana, lock it in. No hesitation. The golden R shockwave alone is worth it when you’re engaging on their whole comp in a late-game teamfight around baron. S-tier Qiyana cosmetic.
