Stormrazor is a 3,200 gold crit item in League of Legends that turns your Energized attack into a burst of speed. In patch 26.21 it gives 50 Attack Damage along with 25% crit chance and 25% Attack Speed, and its Bolt passive adds magic damage to the Energized attack plus 45% Move Speed for 1.5 seconds.

What does the Bolt passive do?

Stormrazor runs on the Energized system: moving and attacking build up charge, and when it’s full, your next attack is Energized. Bolt makes that attack deal bonus magic damage and gives you 45% Move Speed for 1.5 seconds.

That speed burst is the useful part. A marksman can land the Energized attack and immediately reposition, either to chase a target who’s running or to step back out of an engage. 1.5 seconds isn’t long (blink and it’s gone), but at 45% it covers a lot of ground. The magic damage amount isn’t in Riot’s data text, so check the tooltip for the current figure.

Why does the timing matter? Because the charge builds while you move, you’ll often enter a fight with the Energized attack ready, and the speed then helps you take the first trade on your terms.

Is Stormrazor gold efficient?

Yes, at 105%. The stats add up to 3,375 gold.

The Attack Damage carries most of it: 1,750 gold for 50 points at 35 each. Crit adds 1,000 gold (40 per percent), and the Attack Speed adds 625 (25 per percent). So you’re slightly ahead on stats, and the speed burst is a bonus. Honestly, for a crit item that also gives real Attack Damage, that’s a good deal.

What does it build from?

B. F. Sword (1,300 gold), Cloak of Agility (600 gold) and Scout’s Slingshot (600 gold), finished with 700 gold. B. F. Sword is the big damage piece and the usual first buy; the other two are cheaper and fill in crit and Attack Speed.

Nothing upgrades from it.

Was Stormrazor removed from the game?

Yes, for a while. Riot’s data shows it renamed to “Deprecated item” in patch 26.4, which is how removed items appear in the game files. It came back in patch 26.17 with a higher price and more Attack Speed than before its removal.

  • Patch 25.21: cost 3,100 → 3,000 gold, Attack Damage 65 → 50, Attack Speed added at 20%, effect text changed.
  • Patch 26.4: removed (listed as a deprecated item).
  • Patch 26.17: returned as Stormrazor, cost 3,000 → 3,200 gold, Attack Speed 20% → 25%.

Put simply, the version in the shop today is only a couple of patches old. Anything written about the item between 26.4 and 26.17 would have told you it no longer existed, and anything older describes a different stat line. The item first appears in the data in patch 8.11.

Who should build Stormrazor?

Crit marksmen who want Attack Damage in the same slot as crit and value mobility, especially those without a dash of their own. The speed burst helps them kite and reposition.

Who should look elsewhere? Marksmen who want maximum range might prefer Rapid Firecannon, which uses the same Energized charge for an extra-long shot instead of speed. Look, both items work off the same mechanic; pick the speed if you get caught a lot, the range if you get outranged a lot. For a crit carry who keeps getting caught out of position, Stormrazor gives the quickest way back out.
