Cyber Pop Skins
All 2 skins in the Cyber Pop skinline. Browse splash art, chromas, and detailed reviews for every Cyber Pop skin in League of Legends.
Cyber Pop is one of Riot's smallest skinlines and honestly one of the most underrated. Two skins. That's it. Zoe and Akshan got the neon-arcade treatment and then Riot just moved on. The whole aesthetic is this retro-digital vibe, think early 2000s internet culture smashed together with bubblegum synth colors. Been running Cyber Pop Zoe in my ranked games since like season 8 and the skin still holds up visually against stuff released last patch. Not sure if it's just me but this line deserved way more love than it got.
What Makes Cyber Pop Stand Out on the Rift
The core identity of Cyber Pop comes down to one thing: pixelated VFX layered over clean neon geometry. Both skins share this digital glitch motif where abilities break apart into tiny squares and reassemble. Its like watching a Twitch stream buffer but in a cool way. The color palette leans heavy into cyan, magenta, and electric purple. Every particle effect pops against Summoner's Rift, especially at night on the darker side of the map.
Splash arts carry a similar energy. Bright backgrounds, characters posed with digital artifacts floating around them, and this sense of playful chaos that fits champions like Zoe perfectly. Akshan's splash leans a bit more action-oriented but keeps the same neon DNA. Could be wrong here but I think the Cyber Pop splashes are some of the most visually distinct in the entire game. You see that cyan-magenta combo in the loading screen and you immediately know what line it is.
Compared to similar tech-themed skinlines like PROJECT or Program, Cyber Pop goes way softer. PROJECT is all military cyberpunk, Program is cold and clinical, but Cyber Pop feels like a skin designed by someone who grew up playing old arcade cabinets. There's warmth in it. The sounds are bouncier, the particles are rounder, the whole package reads as fun instead of threatening. Real talk though, that tonal difference is exactly why some people skip it. If you want your champion to look intimidating in lane, Cyber Pop aint the move. But if you want to tilt your opponent by killing them with what looks like a candy-colored screensaver? Perfect.
(Random aside: my buddy who one-tricks Zoe refuses to use any other skin because he says the bubble sleep particle is easier to track with Cyber Pop. Placebo? Probably. But he's been Diamond 2 for three seasons so I'm not arguing.)
Best Cyber Pop Skins to Lock In
With only two skins in the line this is less of a tier list and more of a head-to-head. Cyber Pop Zoe versus Cyber Pop Akshan. Both Epic tier. Both 1350 RP. But they are not equal.
Cyber Pop Zoe is the better skin. Full stop. Released back in 2017 when Zoe herself launched, this skin was basically her debut cosmetic and Riot went hard on it. The Paddle Star Q trails these pixelated fragments that shatter on impact. Sleepy Trouble Bubble leaves a digital puddle on the ground that's actually cleaner to read than her base skin. Her portal jump has this glitchy teleport animation. Honestly not gonna lie, I've played maybe 300 games on this skin across different seasons and the VFX still feel premium for an Epic. The recall animation where she plays a handheld game console is peak character design for Zoe. Captures her personality better than some of her more expensive options.
Cyber Pop Akshan is solid but not on the same level. Dropped in 2021, four years after Zoe's. The grappling hook E gets a nice digital trail and his boomerang Q has that pixelated shatter effect. Good stuff. But Akshan's kit is more about mobility and autos than flashy spell effects, so the Cyber Pop treatment doesn't pop as hard on him. His heroic swing looks cool with the neon rope but you're moving so fast in teamfights that you barely notice the details. Played this one for about two weeks when it came out last season. Looked clean but I ended up going back to his base skin for ranked because the auto attack sounds felt slightly off to me.
If you main either champion and want something bright, Zoe's version is the one to prioritize. Akshan's is fine for the price but it competes with some stiff alternatives in his skin catalog.
The Cyber Pop Champion Roster
Two champions. Zoe and Akshan. That's your entire Cyber Pop roster. Kinda feels like Riot started something cool and then just forgot about it.
Zoe fits the theme like a glove. Her whole personality is chaotic, playful, ancient being pretending to be a teenager. Slapping a retro-digital skin on her makes complete sense. The mischief factor translates perfectly into pixelated sparkles and arcade sounds. She was the launch champion for this line in 2017 and honestly she might be the reason the line works at all. Without Zoe's energy, Cyber Pop is just another tech skin.
Akshan's inclusion in 2021 was unexpected. He's a grappling-hook vigilante with a resurrection passive. Not exactly screaming "retro arcade" to me. But Riot made it work by leaning into his swagger. The cocky animations translate well into the neon aesthetic. Still, he feels like an add-on rather than a natural fit. Not bad, just not as intuitive as Zoe.
Who should join Cyber Pop next? Been thinking about this since season 11. Neeko would be perfect. Her clone mechanic with digital glitch effects? Come on. Lux could work too, her spell effects are already flashy and the Cyber Pop palette would give her something distinct from her 47 other skins. Ekko is another obvious pick. Time manipulation plus digital artifacts is almost too on-the-nose. (Sidebar: I genuinely believe a Cyber Pop Ekko skin would sell better than half the skinlines Riot pushes these days. The champion already has that arcade energy in his base kit.)
Maybe just my experience but I've seen more Cyber Pop Zoes in my Diamond games this season than I expected for a 2017 skin. People remember this line. Riot should too.
Tier and Price Breakdown
Simple breakdown here. Both Cyber Pop skins are Epic tier at 1350 RP each. No Legendaries. No Mythics. No Ultimates. Just two clean Epics.
For what you get at 1350 RP, both skins deliver. New models, new VFX on all abilities, new sound effects, new recall animations. Standard Epic package but executed well. Voice lines stay base for both, which is expected at this price point. No new VO means you're paying for visuals and audio design, not a reimagined character fantasy.
The 1350 RP price point feels fair for Cyber Pop Zoe specifically. Her VFX work is above average for Epics from that era. Some 2017 Epics look rough by today's standards but this one aged well. Akshan's feels standard. Not overpriced, not a steal. Right where it should be for 1350.
Total investment to own the complete Cyber Pop collection: 2700 RP. That's it. Two skins. One of the cheapest complete skinline collections in the game. You could grab both during a sale weekend and barely notice the RP hit. Compare that to trying to complete something like Star Guardian or PROJECT where you're looking at 15+ skins and multiple Legendaries. Cyber Pop is the budget collector's dream.
Take this with a grain of salt but I think the lack of higher-tier skins actually hurts this line's perception. People associate small skinlines with throwaway concepts. But small doesn't mean bad. It means Riot hasn't invested enough yet.
Frequently Asked Questions About Cyber Pop Skins
How many Cyber Pop skins are there?
There's 2 Cyber Pop skins total. Cyber Pop Zoe dropped in 2017 and Cyber Pop Akshan came in 2021. Pretty small lineup. Riot hasn't added to the collection since Akshan's release, so it's been sitting at two for a few years now. Could grow eventually but no announcements as of early 2026.
What is the best Cyber Pop skin?
Cyber Pop Zoe wins this one easily. Her kit translates better to the pixelated VFX style and the skin has aged surprisingly well for a 2017 Epic. The Paddle Star and Sleepy Trouble Bubble effects alone make it worth locking in. Been spamming it in ranked for years and still dont get tired of the visuals. Akshan's version is decent but not on the same level.
Which champions have Cyber Pop skins?
Just Zoe and Akshan. Two champions total. Zoe was the original Cyber Pop champion when she launched in 2017 and Akshan joined the line four years later in 2021. Both are mid-range mobility champions which gives the line a specific feel, though plenty of other champs could fit the theme well.
Does Cyber Pop have Legendary skins?
No Legendaries in Cyber Pop. Both skins are Epic tier at 1350 RP. No new voice lines, no unique animations beyond the standard Epic package. A Legendary Cyber Pop skin could be incredible though. Imagine full VO rework with glitchy digital voice processing. Riot left money on the table here if you ask me.
When did the Cyber Pop skinline release?
Cyber Pop started in 2017 with Cyber Pop Zoe. She launched alongside Zoe's champion release that November. The second and most recent addition was Cyber Pop Akshan in 2021. Four year gap between the two skins, which is a long time even by Riot's standards for smaller skinlines.
Are Cyber Pop skins worth buying?
If you main Zoe, absolutely. Cyber Pop Zoe is one of her best skins and 1350 RP feels fair for the quality. For Akshan mains its more of a preference call. The skin works fine but he has other options that might fit your vibe better. Neither skin is a bad purchase though. Solid VFX work on both for the price.
Do Cyber Pop skins have chromas?
Cyber Pop Zoe has chromas available that give her different color variations on the neon palette. Akshan's Cyber Pop also got chroma treatment. The chromas mostly shift the primary neon colors around, think swapping cyan for green or magenta for gold. Worth grabbing if you already own the base skin and want variety in your ranked games.
Will Riot make more Cyber Pop skins?
No official announcements as of early 2026. The line hasnt gotten a new skin since 2021 which isnt a great sign. But Riot has revived smaller lines before. Bees went from a joke to a real skinline. Could be wrong here but I think Cyber Pop has enough visual identity to justify expansion. Champions like Neeko or Ekko would be natural fits.
