WoW Forever Editions + Price: Heroic, Epic, Collection
Verified November 6, 2026 · Status: released
World of Warcraft: Forever is included with any active WoW Subscription — there’s no base-game purchase required — but Blizzard sells three optional digital packs (Skyborne Heroic, Skyborne Epic, Warcraft Forever Collection) plus a physical Collector’s Edition for players who want extra content. Blizzard’s own announcement names all three digital tiers and the physical edition. The packs grant race unlock, cosmetics, mounts, Game Time, and (for the Collection) a bundled copy of Warcraft III: Reforged with the Forsaken Kingdom campaign. This page covers each edition’s contents verbatim from Blizzard’s post plus cross-checked third-party price coverage. Verified on 6 November 2026.

What you don’t need to buy
Blizzard’s rule: “Available to anyone with an active WoW subscription or game time, meaning fans won’t have to purchase it separately.”
The base Forever game is free with an active WoW Subscription or Game Time. No pack purchase is required to:
- Play Forever on original Azeroth continents with any of the eight Classic races.
- Access the three new zones Blizzard added at launch.
- Participate in Forever’s dungeons, raids, and quests.
- Switch between Modern WoW, WoW Classic, and WoW Forever on the same subscription.
What packs add: the Skyborne race, cosmetics, mounts, Game Time, and (for the Collection) the Warcraft III bundle.
Skyborne Heroic Pack
Blizzard’s description: the base entry tier that unlocks the new race.
Contents:
- Skyborne race unlock.
- Zephras Isle starting experience (automatic with Skyborne characters).
- Early Name Reservation for Skyborne characters.
- Cerulean Prideclaw ground mount (Blizzard note: riding skill sold separately in-game).
- Cosmetics (specifics in Blizzard’s shop listing).
- Housing decor items.
- One Invite-A-Friend code.
Third-party-reported price: approximately $29.99 USD. Current Battle.net Shop price is authoritative.
Skyborne Epic Pack
Blizzard’s description: Everything in the Heroic Pack, plus launch-time and ongoing perks.
Contents (adds to Heroic):
- Beta access. Granted at purchase during the beta window (September 17 – November 4, 2026). Past-tense now.
- 30 days of Game Time. Starting November 4, 2026 — a free subscription month.
- Extra cosmetics beyond the Heroic Pack’s.
- Pets.
- Tabards.
- Three Invite-A-Friend codes.
Third-party-reported price: approximately $59.99 USD. Beta access value is past; the pack remains valuable for the 30 days of Game Time (~$14.99 value) plus the extra cosmetics.
Warcraft Forever Collection
Blizzard’s description: Everything in the Epic Pack, plus the Warcraft III: Reforged bundle.
Contents (adds to Epic):
- Warcraft III: Reforged. The full remastered RTS.
- Forsaken Kingdom campaign. The new campaign that sets up Forever’s lore.
- Forsaken and Human Figurine housing decor for modern WoW. Usable in retail WoW, not just Forever.
Third-party-reported price: approximately $79.99 USD. Blizzard notes this is “limited time,” meaning the Collection availability has an expiration window for new purchases.
Physical Collector’s Edition
Blizzard’s description: a physical Collector’s Edition sold through the Blizzard Gear Store while supplies last.
The physical edition is a limited-print product. Third-party-reported price: approximately $150 USD. Contents typically include:
- Physical art/lore book.
- Collectible character figurine.
- Digital codes for one of the Skyborne Pack tiers (specific tier tied to this edition).
- Soundtrack CD.
- Additional physical collectibles.
Exact contents and price vary by Blizzard Gear Store listing. The Collector’s Edition sells out faster than digital tiers, so availability matters.
Subscription pricing
WoW Subscription prices (all plans include Forever access):
| Plan | Price | Per month |
|---|---|---|
| Monthly | $14.99 | $14.99 |
| 6-Month | ~$77.94 | ~$12.99 |
| 12-Month | ~$155.88 | ~$12.99 |
| 60-Day Game Time | ~$29.99 | $14.99-ish |
Longer plans reduce the per-month cost. Game Time cards work the same as a sub for the specified duration.
How to buy
Four purchase paths:
- Battle.net Shop (us.shop.battle.net) for digital packs.
- Blizzard Gear Store for the physical Collector’s Edition.
- Third-party retailers (GameStop, Amazon, Walmart) for Game Time cards and physical Collector’s Editions.
- In-client via Battle.net desktop app → Shop.
Digital packs activate instantly on purchase. Physical Collector’s Edition ships from the Blizzard Gear Store with its digital code emailed separately.
Year-one cost for a new player
Three representative annual-cost scenarios:
| Scenario | Base pack | Subscription | Year-one total |
|---|---|---|---|
| Subscribe only (no race, Classic races only) | $0 | $155.88 (12-month) | ~$155.88 |
| Subscribe + Heroic Pack (Skyborne race unlock) | $29.99 | $155.88 (12-month) | ~$185.87 |
| Subscribe + Epic Pack (all cosmetics, 30-day Game Time) | $59.99 | $125.89 (12-month minus 30-day) | ~$185.88 |
| Subscribe + Collection (adds Warcraft III) | $79.99 | $125.89 (12-month minus 30-day) | ~$205.88 |
The Epic Pack’s 30-day Game Time effectively reduces the first-year subscription cost by one month. All totals assume 12-month subscription for lowest per-month rate.
FAQ
Do I need to buy WoW Forever?
No. Blizzard: “Available to anyone with an active WoW subscription or game time, meaning fans won’t have to purchase it separately.” The optional Skyborne packs add cosmetics and race unlock.
What’s the difference between Heroic Pack and Epic Pack?
Epic Pack adds: beta access (now past), 30 days of Game Time (~$14.99 value), extra cosmetics, pets, tabards, and 3 Invite-A-Friend codes (vs. 1 in Heroic). Heroic is the base entry tier at ~$29.99; Epic is ~$59.99.
What’s in the Warcraft Forever Collection?
Everything in the Epic Pack, plus Warcraft III: Reforged, the Forsaken Kingdom campaign (sets up Forever’s lore), and Forsaken + Human Figurine housing decor for modern WoW. Approximately $79.99.
Is there a physical edition?
Yes — the Collector’s Edition sold through the Blizzard Gear Store while supplies last. Approximately $150 USD. Includes art book, figurine, digital code, soundtrack CD, and additional collectibles.
How much is the WoW subscription?
$14.99/month for monthly, ~$12.99/month for 6-month or 12-month plans. Any active subscription includes Forever, Modern WoW, and WoW Classic.
Can I play Forever with just a subscription?
Yes. A WoW subscription alone unlocks Forever’s base content — three new zones, 1,000+ new quests, all dungeons and raids. Classic WoW races are available. Skyborne race requires a Skyborne pack.
Will the Warcraft Forever Collection stay available?
Blizzard calls it “limited time,” so availability has an expiration window. Check the Battle.net Shop listing for current availability.
