No purchase of a Roblox account is fully safe, because the platform forbids it. The Roblox Terms of Use say selling an account or its credentials “is strictly prohibited” and that “purchasing another User’s Account or access credentials is strictly prohibited.” The only exception covers a creator handing over an account together with the right to earn Robux from content it made, under a written agreement, which has nothing to do with buying a player account.
In practice the risk comes from two directions. Roblox can suspend an account it links to a sale. And the seller (or whoever the seller got it from) can often recover it through Roblox support, because they hold the original email, old receipts and the history Roblox asks about. Marketplace protection covers only the second risk, and only inside its window. After that, you’re on your own, which is exactly why the window length belongs in the comparison.
What to check before you buy Roblox accounts on any site
To be fair, the list is short. Before paying, check these on the listing itself and not in chat:
- Email status. “Unverified, changeable” is what you want; an account tied to the seller’s email can be pulled back in minutes.
