Spirit Blossom Springs Skins

All 8 skins in the Spirit Blossom Springs skinline. Browse splash art, chromas, and detailed reviews for every Spirit Blossom Springs skin in League of Legends.

Spirit Blossom Springs is Riot going back to one of their best skinlines and somehow making it feel fresh again. The original Spirit Blossom set from 2020 was already a fan favorite, and this Springs variant leans harder into the cherry blossom aesthetic with lighter pastels and a more relaxed vibe. Been running a few of these in ranked this season and honestly the line hits different from the darker tones of the original. Not every skin in the set earns its spot, but when Spirit Blossom Springs works, it really works.

What Sets Spirit Blossom Springs Apart

The original Spirit Blossom lineup had that Ionian spirit world energy. Darker undertones, yokai influences, lots of purple and deep pink. Spirit Blossom Springs takes the same mythological foundation and strips out the heavier elements. Think spring festival instead of spirit realm. Lighter pinks, soft greens, warm golds. The VFX across the line share this petal-scatter effect that looks clean on the Rift without being distracting.

Kinda feels like Riot looked at what worked with Faerie Court and said "okay but make it Japanese folklore." The splash arts across the set share a unified composition style. Warm lighting, cherry blossoms everywhere, characters posed in moments of calm rather than combat. Its a vibe shift from most skinlines that try to look aggressive.

What ties the line together visually is the petal particle system. Every skin in Spirit Blossom Springs uses some variant of falling sakura petals on abilities. Ahri's Legendary pushes this the hardest with unique petal trails on every ability, but even the Epic tier skins get noticeable petal work on their key spells. The recall animations all share a spring garden theme. Sat in fountain watching my Sona recall maybe 15 times last week because the animation is that smooth.

(Random aside: the loading screen borders for this set are some of the cleanest Riot has done. Small detail but it matters when you're staring at it every game.)

Compared to similar aesthetic lines like Elderwood or Faerie Court, Spirit Blossom Springs sits in a sweet spot. Elderwood goes too nature-heavy and loses the elegance. Faerie Court can feel overly sparkly. This line balances the fantasy elements with enough restraint that nothing looks cluttered in teamfights. Real talk though, if you already own original Spirit Blossom skins you might feel like some of these overlap visually. The color palette is different enough up close but from the minimap perspective they can blur together.

Best Spirit Blossom Springs Skins

Spirit Blossom Springs Ahri is the Legendary and it carries the entire line. Not gonna lie, this might be the best Ahri skin period. New VO, unique ability VFX on Q, W, E, and R, the charm animation has this petal spiral that actually looks like it belongs in the game rather than some overwrought particle mess. Played maybe 40 games with it since release and the auto attack animations feel smoother than base. Could be placebo. Dont think it is though.

The foxfire orbs float with a lazy drift that sells the "spring afternoon" energy. Her ult dashes leave petal trails that fade naturally. Small touches that add up. If you're an Ahri main or even just play her occasionally in mid, this is the lock-in.

After Hours Spirit Blossom Springs Ahri is the Mythic variant and honestly it's more of a flex piece than a gameplay upgrade. The color shift goes into evening tones, deeper purples and midnight blues. Looks gorgeous in the splash. In game at normal zoom? Hard to tell the difference from the Legendary unless you're specifically looking. Cool for collectors. Skip it if you're just trying to climb.

Spirit Blossom Springs Sona surprised me. Epic tier but the ability VFX punch above their weight class. Her W heal aura gets this ring of falling petals that reads clearly in lane. The power chord indicator has a subtle bloom effect. Been spamming this in Diamond on support and teammates actually comment on it in chat. That almost never happens with Epic skins.

Prestige Spirit Blossom Springs Aphelios looks incredible in the splash art. The white and gold color scheme fits the spring theme. In game its solid. The weapon VFX get the prestige treatment with golden petal accents. Might be overthinking it but I think the Severum healing particles are slightly more visible than base prestige Aphelios skins, which actually matters for tracking your sustain in fights.

Spirit Blossom Springs Teemo rounds out my top picks. Classic Teemo energy but the mushrooms are little sakura buds. The blinding dart has a petal puff on impact. Simple changes but Teemo mains eat this stuff up. Seen a lot of these in my games this season, way more than the Volibear or Sett versions.

The Champion Roster

Seven champions across 8 skins (Ahri gets two versions). The roster makes sense for the most part. Ahri is the poster child for anything Spirit Blossom related. She fits the Japanese folklore aesthetic naturally. Sona works because her floating instrument and flowing animations match the serene spring vibe. Teemo is the wildcard inclusion that somehow works because his design is already whimsical enough to fit a festival theme.

Volibear feels like the odd one out. Not saying the skin is bad but putting a giant thunder bear in a cherry blossom garden requires some suspension of disbelief. The skin tries to lean into a guardian spirit angle and it mostly works. Mostly. In teamfights he still looks like a bear mauling people, just with prettier particles.

Sett fits better than expected. The brawler energy translates well when you wrap it in festival aesthetics. His W true damage zone with the petal explosion effect looks clean. Aphelios works because his weapons already have that elegant feel. Yunara I've seen less of in my games but the design direction looks solid from what I've caught in loading screens.

Who should Riot add next? Lillia is the obvious answer. She's literally a dream spirit deer. The fact that she wasnt in this set is criminal. Yone would fit perfectly given his existing Spirit Blossom skin from the original line. Kindred too. Maybe Jhin for the artistic angle. (Sidebar: every skinline discussion ends with someone saying "add Jhin" and honestly they're always right.)

Tier Breakdown and Pricing

The line splits into 5 Epics, 1 Legendary, and 2 Mythics. That's a healthy distribution. The Epics do the heavy lifting for accessibility. If you main any of the champions in this line you can grab their skin at the standard Epic price point without feeling like you're missing out on the premium stuff.

The Legendary Ahri justifies its price. Full stop. New VO, new animations, unique VFX on every ability. This is what Legendary tier should always look like. Not sure if it's just me but I feel like Riot has been more consistent with Legendary quality in the last two years compared to some of the older ones that barely cleared Epic standards.

The two Mythics are collector pieces. After Hours Ahri and Prestige Aphelios. These are for people who want everything or who specifically one-trick those champions. The prestige treatment on Aphelios is well executed. The After Hours Ahri variant is a nice touch but not essential. If you're budgeting, the Legendary Ahri alone gets you 90% of what this skinline offers at its best.

Fair warning, with 8 skins total this isn't a massive line. But the quality per skin is high. Riot clearly focused on execution over volume here. Compare that to some bloated skinline drops where half the roster feels like filler and Spirit Blossom Springs comes out looking smart.

Been playing ranked since season 5 and the pattern I've noticed is that smaller, tighter skinlines age better. Nobody remembers the forgettable sixth skin in a 10-skin drop. But a focused set of 8 where most are strong? That sticks around in rotations. Last Tuesday I had three Spirit Blossom Springs skins in one ARAM game. The line has presence on the Rift already.

Spirit Blossom Springs FAQ

How many Spirit Blossom Springs skins are there?

8 skins total across 7 champions. Ahri gets two versions: the Legendary base and the After Hours Mythic variant. The rest of the roster is Teemo, Sona, Volibear, Aphelios (Prestige Mythic), Yunara, and Sett. Tight lineup but Riot kept the quality high across the board. Not a single throwaway skin in the bunch honestly.

What is the best Spirit Blossom Springs skin?

Spirit Blossom Springs Ahri and it's not close. The Legendary treatment gives her new VO, completely reworked ability VFX with sakura petal effects on Q, W, E, and R, plus a gorgeous recall animation. Been running it in ranked all season and the auto attack feel alone makes it worth the price. S-tier Ahri cosmetic for sure.

Which champions have Spirit Blossom Springs skins?

Ahri, Teemo, Sona, Volibear, Aphelios, Yunara, and Sett. Seven champions total. Ahri is the face of the line with her Legendary version. Most of the roster fits the spring festival theme naturally, though Volibear feels like a stretch. Sett and Aphelios work better than you'd expect given the soft aesthetic.

Does Spirit Blossom Springs have Legendary skins?

One Legendary: Spirit Blossom Springs Ahri. Full package with new voice lines, unique animations, and ability-specific VFX. The line also has two Mythic tier skins, After Hours Spirit Blossom Springs Ahri and Prestige Spirit Blossom Springs Aphelios. Both are collector pieces but the Legendary Ahri is the standout.

When did the Spirit Blossom Springs skinline release?

Spirit Blossom Springs is a recent addition to the Spirit Blossom universe. The original Spirit Blossom event launched in 2020 with champions like Thresh, Yasuo, and Lillia. This Springs variant came later as a seasonal refresh with a lighter pastel palette and new champion roster. Feels like Riot's spring event answer to the Winterblessed line.

Are Spirit Blossom Springs skins worth buying?

If you main any champion in this line, yes. The Epics all have solid VFX work that punches above tier. The Legendary Ahri is worth full price for mains. Only skip if you already own original Spirit Blossom versions and dont want visual overlap on the Rift. The petal particle effects look clean in game and the splash arts are consistently strong.

Do Spirit Blossom Springs skins have chromas?

The Epic tier skins in this line typically come with chroma options. Check individual skin pages for exact counts and color variants. The Mythic and Prestige versions don't get chromas since they're already premium color variants themselves. If chromas matter to you the Epic tier is where the customization lives in this line.

Will Riot make more Spirit Blossom Springs skins?

Could be wrong here but I think Riot will expand this line eventually. Spirit Blossom is one of their most popular thematic universes and the Springs variant has room to grow. Lillia, Yone, and Kindred are obvious candidates. The original Spirit Blossom got multiple waves so theres precedent. Wouldn't be surprised to see a second drop within a year or two.
