|---|---|---|---|
| Move Speed | 65 | 12 g | 780 g |
| Total stat value | 780 g |
Gold efficiency = stat value ÷ item cost = 780 ÷ 1000 = 78%. The gold per point comes from basic items of the same patch (for example, Long Sword: 35 g per Attack Damage). Passives and actives are not counted.

Swiftmarch is a tier-three boots upgrade in League of Legends that comes from Boots of Swiftness, worth 1,000 gold in total: 65 Move Speed in patch 26.21. Fleetfooted reduces the effectiveness of slows by 25%, and Noxian Fervor turns 5% of your Move Speed into Adaptive Force, so the faster you are, the harder you hit.
What does Swiftmarch do?
It’s the speed boots, made faster. The base Move Speed goes up from the tier-two version, and both passives build on that speed.
Fleetfooted cuts the strength of every slow on you by 25%. A 40% slow becomes a 30% one, roughly (item slows and ability slows alike). Against a team full of slows, that’s the difference between walking out of a fight and getting caught.
Noxian Fervor is the interesting one. You gain 5% of your total Move Speed as Adaptive Force, which becomes Attack Damage or Ability Power depending on which your champion has more of. Stack Move Speed from other items, runes or abilities, and the bonus grows with it. Short version? Speed becomes damage, and the more of it you stack, the more damage you get.
How do you get Swiftmarch?
By upgrading Boots of Swiftness. Riot’s item data lists Swiftness as the only component, with no extra combine cost, so the 1,000 gold value matches the boots you already have. It sells for 700 gold. How the upgrade unlocks isn’t in the item data, so the in-game shop is the place to see it.
Is it gold efficient?
On raw stats it reaches 78%. The 65 Move Speed, priced at 12 gold per point from basic Boots, is worth 780 gold.
That number ignores both passives. Adaptive Force from Noxian Fervor has real gold value, and slow resistance has no basic item to compare with. Since there’s no extra cost over Boots of Swiftness, it’s a straight upgrade anyway, to be fair.
What was item 3170 before?
Something completely different. For more than a decade the ID belonged to Moonflair Spellblade, an old item with Ability Power, Armor and Magic Resist. Then the 2025 season start changed it:
- Patch 25.S1.1: renamed from Moonflair Spellblade to Swiftmarch, all old stats removed, Move Speed 75 added, value 1,750 gold.
- Patch 25.S1.2: Move Speed 75 → 70.
- 25.09 lowered the value to 1,500 gold and Move Speed to 65.
- Patch 26.1: value 1,500 → 1,000 gold, effect text changed.
Funny enough, the Moonflair entries from patch 3.10 onward are still in the table above, since the ID is shared (it was briefly a “Ranged Only” item back then). If you want to compare it with the other tier-three boots, our LoL items database has them all.
Who should pick Swiftmarch?
Anyone who already bought Boots of Swiftness. The choice happens at tier two: champions that roam, kite, or face a lot of slows take Swiftness, and Swiftmarch is where that path ends.
Honestly, it’s best on champions who stack extra Move Speed, since Noxian Fervor scales with your total speed, not just the boots. Supports who roam between lanes, junglers who gank constantly and melee champions who struggle to reach targets through slows all benefit. Into a team with little crowd control and no slows? Then a combat stat from another boots path may serve you better. Our guide to LoL roles shows which positions roam most, and that’s where Swiftmarch earns its spot.
