Actualizer is a 2,800 gold mage item in League of Legends built around an active called Mana Made Real: 90 Ability Power, 300 Mana and 10 Ability Haste in patch 26.21. Pressing it empowers your mana for 8 seconds, so spells cost more but hit harder, shield and heal more, and your basic ability cooldowns tick faster.

What does Mana Made Real do?

It’s a trade. For 8 seconds your spells cost 100% more Mana, and in exchange you get more Ability damage, stronger Shielding and Healing, and basic ability cooldowns that progress 30% faster.

That last part matters more than it reads. Faster cooldowns plus doubled costs means you cast more spells, each one pricier, inside a short window, which drains a mana bar remarkably fast. Long story short, the active is a burst button for the moment a fight starts, not something to press on cooldown in lane (unless you enjoy walking back to base with an empty bar).

How big is the damage and healing boost? Riot’s data files just say “increased”, without a figure. The shop tooltip in patch 26.21 is the place to see what it adds right now.

Is Actualizer gold efficient?

Close to it. Every stat on the item has a basic-item price, and the total is 2,600 gold against 2,800 gold, or 93%.

Line by line, with the same patch’s basic items as the reference: 90 Ability Power at 20 gold each is 1,800 gold, 300 Mana at 1 gold each is 300, and 10 Ability Haste at 50 gold each is 500. You’re short 200 gold on paper, and the active is what covers it. For what it’s worth, a few hundred gold is a small premium for a button that boosts damage, shields and heals all at once.

Which items does it build from?

Lost Chapter (1,200 gold) and Blasting Wand (850 gold), finished with 750 gold. Honestly, the order is easy for most mages. Lost Chapter goes first, because it already matches the finished item’s Mana and Ability Haste exactly and fixes mana trouble in lane (the finished item is basically Lost Chapter with a Blasting Wand and an active bolted on), while Blasting Wand is pure Ability Power for the moment you want more damage before completing.

No item builds out of Actualizer.

What has changed since it was added?

One cost change. Riot’s data first shows Actualizer in patch 26.1, and two patches later:

  • Patch 26.3: cost 3,100 → 2,800 gold.

A 300 gold cut on a mage legendary, with Ability Power and Mana left alone, is a solid buff. It also hints that the launch price felt too high for what the item did. Keep an eye on the patch history table above, which updates itself, and on our LoL item pages for how the other mana items have moved.

Who is Actualizer for?

Mana-based mages and enchanters who spend fights in a burst of casts. Because the active also boosts Shielding and Healing, it’s a mage item that a shielding support can buy for the active as much as for the stats. Thing is, it rewards champions with short basic cooldowns most, since the 30% cooldown speed-up means more extra casts when the base cooldowns are small.

Who gains little? Champions without mana, obviously (energy and health-cost kits get nothing from the Mana line), and long-cooldown burst mages who cast once and wait. Real talk, a mage who already struggles with mana will feel the doubled cost in long fights. Is that you? If your champion’s main combo empties half your bar already, Actualizer will empty the rest, and the champion guides are a good place to check whether a mana item is standard on your pick. When the kit does fit, Actualizer gives you a stronger few seconds than most mage items can.
