Super Teemo

First time I saw Super Teemo in a loading screen I thought someone was trolling. Not gonna lie, the cape and the mask hit different when you’re used to seeing base Teemo waddle around top lane like a gremlin. This is the superhero fantasy nobody asked for but Riot delivered anyway, and somehow it works. Been running this skin in ranked since season 11 and the reactions in all chat never get old.

What actually changes with Super Teemo

Super Teemo gives the little yordle a full superhero outfit. Blue suit, red cape, domino mask. The whole Silver Age comic book vibe. Its a 975 RP Standard tier skin so you’re not getting a legendary overhaul here, but the VFX updates do enough to justify the price point over cheaper Teemo options.

The Q blind dart gets a subtle particle shift that reads cleaner than base. Nothing dramatic. The shrooms on R keep their general shape but the color palette shifts to match the blue and red theme, which actually makes them slightly harder to spot on certain terrain patches. Could be wrong here but I swear the shrooms blend better near the river compared to base Teemo mushrooms. Had a game last Friday where my Jinx ADC walked into three of them bot side and blamed fog of war.

Move Quick W activation has Teemo doing this little flight pose with the cape trailing behind him. Short detail but it sells the superhero fantasy hard. Voice lines stay base, no new VO or recall animation. Standard package for a skin from this era.

The auto attack animation feels identical to base. No real change there. But visually the contrast of the bright costume against the Rift makes Teemo pop more in teamfights. Easier to track your positioning when you’re the brightest thing on screen. Played maybe 200 games with this skin and the readability is genuinely better than some of his darker skins like Recon.

The Silver Age line and release context

Super Teemo dropped October 10, 2011. Pre-season 2 era. The Silver Age skinline is one of Riot’s older thematic sets pulling from classic comic book aesthetics. Teemo fits the line naturally because the character is already cartoonish enough to sell the superhero angle without it feeling forced.

Terence ‘Terrylefruit’ Cantal handled the artwork. Splash captures the vibe perfectly with Teemo flying through clouds cape-first. The composition is simple compared to modern splashes but it has charm. (Random aside: this splash was my Discord avatar for like eight months straight and people kept asking if it was fan art.)

No chromas available for Super Teemo. Zero. Kinda feels like a missed opportunity because a red and gold Iron Man variant would print money, but Riot hasnt revisited this one. Shop has it permanently at 975 RP so you can grab it whenever.

Should you lock in Super Teemo?

Real verdict: 975 RP feels fair for what you get. The VFX updates carry it above the cheaper Teemo skins like Badger or Happy Elf, and the superhero theme is unique enough in his roster that it stands out. If you’re a Teemo one-trick climbing through solo queue you probably already own this. If you dont, it slots in nicely as a rotation skin when you want something lighter than Omega Squad or Little Devil.

Best comparison is Astronaut Teemo which costs more and delivers a similar level of visual change. Super Teemo edges it on personality though. The cape alone during W is worth the price of admission. Been maining Teemo with this skin on and off since I picked it up around season 9 I think, and it still holds up. Not the flashiest Teemo skin but honest value for mains. Skip it if you already have Omega Squad or Beemo, those are objectively more complete packages. But for 975 RP? Hard to argue against it.
