First game I played with High Noon Twitch was some random Tuesday night in Diamond, maybe 1 AM. Locked him in bot lane without even checking the splash properly. The second I loaded into the Rift I knew this was different from every other Twitch skin I’d used. The cowboy rat fantasy shouldn’t work. It does. Not gonna lie, I wasnt expecting Riot to nail a western theme on the most disgusting sewer creature in League, but here we are.
What High Noon Twitch actually brings to the table
So the big thing with this skin is the VFX overhaul. Every ability got new particle work. His Q stealth has this dusty shimmer effect, like heat waves coming off desert sand. When you pop out of stealth and start autoing, the bolts have this orange-gold trail that reads way cleaner than base Twitch in a teamfight. Real talk though, the W cask is where the skin shines hardest. It lands with a whiskey-barrel kind of splash, and the contaminate zone has these warm amber tones that actually help you track the area better than default.
His E, Contaminate, pops with a satisfying gunpowder burst. The R is the highlight for me. Spray and Pray turns Twitch into a proper gunslinger, the bolts become these fiery rounds that cut through the backline with visible heat trails. Been running this in ranked for maybe 150 games now and the ult VFX never got old. Compare that to base Twitch where the ult bolts just look like slightly bigger autos.
The recall animation goes hard too. Twitch does this whole wanted-poster bit. Short and clean. Voice lines stay base, no new VO, which is expected at the Epic tier. Kinda feels like Twitch’s base voice fits the outlaw vibe anyway so it doesn’t hurt much.
Model-wise they gave him a poncho, a cowboy hat, and dual revolvers. The tail wraps around like a rattlesnake. Smart design choice. Twitch mains know how important the silhouette reads in lane because you spend half your time invisible, so the reveal moment matters. High Noon Twitch’s reveal looks menacing. Simple change – huge impact.
The High Noon line and where Twitch fits
High Noon Twitch dropped May 26, 2022. Season 12, right around MSI if I remember right. Park Jun Seong and West Studio handled the artwork, and they cooked on this one. The splash has Twitch standing in a dusty saloon doorway, revolvers drawn, this demonic glow in his eyes. Its cool how they kept the rat proportions but made him look genuinely threatening.
The High Noon skinline is one of Riot’s longest running themes. Twitch joined alongside a batch that included some bigger names, but honestly the rat held his own. High Noon works best on champions that can lean into the outlaw or sheriff archetype, and Twitch as this sneaky bandit who ambushes you from stealth? Perfect fit. Been maining Twitch with this skin since it came out and I keep coming back to it over Dragonslayer and Omega Squad.
9 chromas total. That’s a lot of options. Obsidian is my go-to, the dark colorway makes Twitch look like he crawled out of a coal mine and it reads so clean against the Rift. Sapphire gives him this cold steel gunslinger look that I’ve seen maybe 3 times in my games all season. Rose Quartz is the sleeper pick if you want something different, the pink tones against the western gear create this weird contrast that actually works. Not gonna list every single one but you’ve got options from Citrine to Pearl to Tanzanite and a Nomad exclusive variant.
Is High Noon Twitch worth 1350 RP?
Should you buy it? If you play Twitch at all, yes. 1350 RP feels fair for what you get. New VFX on every ability, solid recall, strong model redesign. Still in the shop, grab it whenever.
(Random aside: I use the Obsidian chroma splash as my Discord avatar and people keep asking what game it’s from. That’s how good the art direction is on this one.)
Could be wrong here but I think this is the best Twitch skin for actually playing ADC in ranked. Omega Squad has the meme factor and Ice King Twitch looks great, but High Noon Twitch’s VFX clarity gives you a genuine edge in chaotic teamfights. When you’re trying to proc your passive stacks on four people during a dragon fight, being able to see your contaminate zone clearly matters. Played maybe 23 games in a row one weekend just spamming this skin in Diamond and my cs numbers actually went up, probably placebo but I’m not questioning it.
For Twitch one-tricks this is the skin. S-tier Twitch cosmetic. For people who play him occasionally in bot lane or flex him jungle (respect), it’s still a strong pickup at standard Epic pricing. The only scenario where I’d say skip is if you’re saving for a Legendary on your actual main. But if Twitch is your champion, High Noon is the answer.
