Prestige Space Groove Lulu

First time I saw Prestige Space Groove Lulu load into my game, I thought someone modded their client. The gold and white color shift from base Space Groove hit so different that I had to double check the skin spotlight after the match. Been running Lulu as my pocket enchanter since season 10, and this Prestige variant became the default lock-in the second I got it.

How Prestige Space Groove Lulu actually looks in game

Not gonna lie, the model swap from the regular Space Groove is more dramatic than most Prestige skins manage. Lulu gets this creamy white and gold outfit replacing the funky purple and teal. Pix transforms into this golden disco companion that floats around looking like a tiny celestial DJ. The whole vibe shifts from “70s dance floor” to “VIP lounge at a cosmic nightclub.”

VFX got the Prestige treatment across the board. Q sends out golden bolts that trail sparkles, and landing poke in lane with it feels clean. W polymorph keeps the disco animal theme but everything shimmers gold. Thats probably the most satisfying part visually, turning an enemy jungler into a golden critter mid-gank.

E shield pops with this warm golden burst. In teamfights where you’re peeling for your ADC, the shield reads really well against the Rift background. Not a small thing when you need to confirm your shield actually landed on the right target in a chaotic 5v5. R is where it peaks though. Knocking up three people with a golden explosion around your engage support during a dragon fight last Wednesday around 11 PM was genuinely one of those “clip it” moments.

Recall animation keeps the dance energy from base Space Groove but with the golden palette. No new voice lines, voice stays default. For a Prestige skin that’s expected, and honestly Faye Mata’s base VO works fine with the aesthetic. The disco fantasy doesn’t need different voice to sell it.

Space Groove and the Prestige context

Prestige Space Groove Lulu dropped April 1, 2021. Early season 11. The Space Groove skinline was brand new at the time and Riot went hard on it. Lulu, Nasus, Blitz, a bunch of champions got the disco treatment and Lulu’s Prestige was the crown jewel of the batch.

Horace ‘Hozure’ Hsu nailed the splash. The composition puts Lulu center stage with Pix glowing beside her, golden light radiating outward. Could be wrong here but I think Hozure’s work on this one is top 3 Prestige splashes period. (Random aside: this splash as a desktop wallpaper goes unreasonably hard, been using it since release.)

The Space Groove line overall is one of Riot’s more creative thematic swings. Retro disco meets cosmic vibes. Most skinlines play it safe with dark edgy themes or anime aesthetics, but Space Groove committed to the groove and it worked. Lulu fits the line naturally because her kit already has that whimsical energy. Polymorph into a disco animal? Makes more sense than half the serious skinlines she’s been in.

This is a Mythic tier skin with Special pricing, meaning you’re not buying it for RP straight up. Mythic Essence or event tokens, depending on when it rotates through the shop. Available now through the Mythic rotation system. Season 9 I think or 10 dont remember exactly when they reworked the whole Prestige acquisition, but the current system lets you grab it when it cycles back.

Who should actually chase this skin

Real verdict: if you play Lulu in ranked with any regularity, this is worth the grind. Played maybe 150 games with this skin across Diamond and the golden VFX genuinely help with visual clarity. Sounds like cope but the shield and ult particles being distinct from base help me track cooldowns better. Might be overthinking it but my Lulu winrate went up after switching to this from Cosmic Enchantress.

Zero chromas on this one, which makes sense for a Prestige. The gold IS the variant. No need for additional color options when the entire point is the premium recolor.

Compared to other Lulu skins, Star Guardian has the nostalgia factor, Dragon Trainer has the unique Pix model, and base Space Groove has the full color palette. But Prestige Space Groove sits at the top for me. S-tier Lulu cosmetic. The golden VFX on abilities, the clean model, the splash quality. It earns the Mythic status.

Skip it if you barely touch Lulu. Spending Mythic Essence on a champion you play twice a season is rough when there’s other Prestige skins in rotation. But for Lulu mains and one-tricks? Been daily driving this for years and keep coming back to it over every other option in her wardrobe. Simple change from base Space Groove – huge impact on how premium the champion feels in your hands. The kind of skin that makes you want to spam Lulu in comp even when enchanters aren’t meta.
