Faerie Court Soraka

Faerie Court as a skinline gives champions this whimsical fae royalty treatment and on Soraka, a champion who literally heals people with starlight, the fairy aesthetic is almost too perfect. May 15, 2024 release. Zoe Zhu and West Studio did the splash showing Soraka in elaborate faerie court regalia with butterfly wings and floral magic. Dropped it into a support game immediately after buying and the lane presence felt different. More magical. More regal. My ADC asked what skin that was in champ select which is always a good sign.

Fae healing in the bot lane

The model transforms Soraka from a celestial healer into a fae queen figure. Butterfly-style wings, flowing fae robes in green and gold, floral crown. The design language is fairy tale royalty which pairs naturally with Soraka’s healing kit. Starcall on Q drops fae energy from above with petal and butterfly particle effects. The rejuvenation zone when Q lands has swirling flowers.

Astral Infusion on W heals allies with fae magic particles instead of starlight. Butterflies briefly appear around the healed target which is a small detail that makes healing feel more rewarding visually. Equinox on E places a fae circle of silence on the ground with floral boundary effects. The root proc when enemies stay too long activates with thorny vine visuals. Hit a clutch E root on the enemy Zed in a ranked game at around 2 AM last week and the thorn animation wrapping around him felt way more satisfying than base Soraka E ever does. Wish on R heals the whole team globally with a cascade of fae energy and butterfly effects sweeping across the map. Full team R saves with this skin look spectacular because the butterfly particle wave is visible to everyone.

Eight chromas: Ruby, Catseye, Pearl, Emerald, Turquoise, Sapphire, Rose Quartz, and Tanzanite. The Pearl chroma goes white and silver which gives off winter fae queen vibes. How Faerie Court compares to Soraka’s other skins

Soraka has two Legendaries, Dawnbringer and Nightbringer, which are her premium options. Star Guardian at Epic is a longtime favorite. Prestige Star Guardian at Mythic is the gold version. Faerie Court sits in the Epic tier but competes well because the fae aesthetic matches Soraka’s healer identity so naturally. At 1350 RP with 8 chromas its the most recent and arguably prettiest Epic in her catalog.

Could be wrong here but I think Faerie Court might actually look better in game than Dawnbringer does despite the Legendary tier difference. The fae particles on the abilities just read cleaner on the Rift. Dawnbringer has the voice lines advantage but pure visual appeal goes to Faerie Court for me. (random tangent: the Pearl chroma on this skin is my default enchanter flex pick aesthetic in ranked because it looks good on any team comp background) Good pickup for support mains who play Soraka regularly. 1350 RP feels fair for the quality level here and the chromas extend the value significantly.
