Bear Cavalry Sejuani

First time I saw Bear Cavalry Sejuani load into a game I genuinely thought someone was running a custom skin. Bristle in full war armor with that fur-lined cavalry aesthetic just hits completely different from default Sejuani. Been running this in Diamond for a while now and honestly the skin aged way better than most 2013 releases. Not even close.

What actually changes with Bear Cavalry Sejuani

So the big thing here is Bristle. Completely remodeled into this armored war bear that looks like it walked out of some Eastern European military fantasy. The saddle, the plating on the bear’s head, the chain details on the harness. Real attention to detail for an Epic tier skin from 2013.

Sejuani herself gets a full outfit swap. Fur-lined armor, new helmet design, the whole cavalry officer look. Kinda feels like she belongs in a completely different game, but in the best way. The proportions read well on the Rift even at zoomed-out camera distance, which is something a lot of older skins struggle with.

VFX got updated for this one. Her Q charge has a different trail effect, and the W swings feel heavier visually. Not sure if it’s just me but her E slow particles look slightly more blue-tinted than base. The R is where it matters most for Sejuani mains and the ult VFX carries enough visual weight that you can tell its Bear Cavalry immediately in a teamfight. Played maybe 40 games with this last month in ranked and the ult readability never caused issues for my team.

The recall animation is custom too. Sejuani does this whole routine with Bristle that sells the military cavalry theme. Quick and clean. Voice lines stay base, no new VO, but Nicki Burke’s original performance works fine here. The gruff commander energy matches the skin concept without needing new lines.

The Wonders of the World line and release context

Bear Cavalry Sejuani dropped July 31, 2013. Season 3 era. Sperasoft Studio handled the splash and they captured the vibe perfectly. That splash has Sejuani charging forward on an absolutely massive armored bear with snow and debris flying everywhere. (Random aside: I used this splash as my Discord banner for like two months straight because the composition is that clean.)

Part of the Wonders of the World skinline, which is one of Riot’s more niche thematic sets. The Wonders of the World concept pulls from real-world cultural and historical aesthetics. Bear Cavalry Sejuani leans into that Russian/Slavic cavalry fantasy hard. Could be wrong here but I think this is one of the few skins in that line that actually sells the theme convincingly instead of just slapping a cultural texture on a champion model.

1350 RP price tag. Shop has it, permanent availability. No chromas exist for this one, which honestly is fine. The color palette works as-is and I dont think recolors would add much to the military aesthetic without looking forced.

Does Bear Cavalry Sejuani hold up at 1350 RP?

Real verdict: for a 2013 Epic skin, Bear Cavalry Sejuani punches above its weight. The model quality on Bristle alone carries this. I’ve seen maybe 5 of these in my games all season, which is a shame because it competes with skins that cost more and deliver less.

If you’re a Sejuani main who plays her as a jungle engage tank in comp, this skin reads well in teamfights. The ult VFX is distinct, the Q charge animation feels impactful, and the overall silhouette stands out when you’re diving the backline or peeling for your ADC. Last Tuesday around midnight I landed a five-person ult in dragon pit and my duo said “that looked cinematic” – thats just how the skin plays.

Compared to something like Project Sejuani or Hextech Sejuani, Bear Cavalry trades flashy particle work for raw model quality and thematic cohesion. 1350 RP feels fair for what you get. Worth it if you main Sejuani and want something that looks serious without going full sci-fi. Skip it if you need over the top VFX to justify your purchase, but for the fantasy of riding an armored bear into lane prio fights and ganking bot at level 6, nothing else in her lineup does it better.
