PROJECT Sejuani

First game I played with PROJECT Sejuani I almost didnt recognize her. Loaded into a ranked match around midnight, locked in Sejuani jungle, and the loading screen splash hit me different. The mech boar, the neon lines, the whole cyberpunk overhaul. Felt like playing a completely different champion. Been running this as my main Sejuani skin since season 11 and I keep coming back to it over everything else in her lineup.

How PROJECT Sejuani actually looks in game

The model rework is solid for an Epic tier skin. Sejuani gets a full mech suit with angular plating and glowing circuit lines running across the armor. Bristle transforms into this sleek cybernetic boar mount with exposed machinery and holographic elements. Not gonna lie, the silhouette reads cleaner than most of her other skins in teamfights.

VFX got a complete overhaul. Her Q charge leaves a trail of digital particles. W swings throw out these sharp geometric frost patterns instead of the standard ice. The E proc detonation has this satisfying holographic shatter effect that pops hard against the Rift. R is where it really shines though. The bola becomes this massive data projectile that explodes into a grid pattern on impact. In a five-man engage last week during a Diamond promo game, the ult VFX made the whole play feel cinematic.

Recall animation is new. She does this cool interface interaction sequence with holographic displays. Standard stuff for PROJECT skins but executed well. Voice lines stay base, no new VO. Kinda feels like a missed opportunity given how much the PROJECT line usually delivers on audio, but for 1350 RP I cant really complain.

The PROJECT line and release context

PROJECT Sejuani dropped May 27, 2021. Late season 11. Marie Magny and West Studio handled the artwork, and they cooked. The splash captures the cyber-augmented warrior fantasy perfectly. Sejuani standing in this dark industrial environment with neon accents cutting through the shadows.

The PROJECT skinline is one of Riot’s longest running themes at this point. We’re talking Yasuo, Vayne, Fiora, Irelia, Pyke. Heavy hitters. Sejuani fits the line naturally because her whole kit revolves around this mounted warrior concept, and strapping her onto a mech boar just works. Could be wrong here but I think she’s one of the better additions to the roster. The tankier champions in PROJECT sometimes feel forced but Sejuani avoids that.

9 chromas total for PROJECT Sejuani. Obsidian is my go-to, the dark plating with minimal glow looks menacing during ganks. Reckoning has this orange and teal contrast that reads well in lane. Pearl goes for the clean white aesthetic if you want something less aggressive. (Random aside: I keep the Obsidian chroma locked in permanently because it matches my ranked mindset at 2 AM.) Shop has it at 1350 RP, permanent availability so no rush.

Is PROJECT Sejuani worth 1350 RP?

Real verdict: for Sejuani mains this is a strong pickup. Maybe just my experience but the auto attack animations feel smoother with the PROJECT model. Could be placebo. Probably is. But after maybe 150 games with this skin I still prefer it over Bear Cavalry and Poro Rider.

The competition in her skin catalog isnt exactly fierce. Hextech Sejuani exists but costs way more effectively. Firecracker is decent. Solar Eclipse came later and honestly gives PROJECT a run. But if you want the tech fantasy over the celestial one, PROJECT Sejuani is the pick. 1350 RP feels fair for what you get. New VFX across the full kit, solid model, clean recall. Been spamming this in Diamond for years at this point and the skin holds up. Top pick for Sejuani mains who want something modern without breaking the bank. Three things stood out after hundreds of games: ult VFX, the boar model, and how clean the E proc looks. Skip it if you already own Solar Eclipse, otherwise lock it in.
