Prestige Star Guardian Soraka

Prestige Star Guardian Soraka is one of those skins where the gold recolor actually works better than you would expect. Most Prestige editions are just “take the base skin and make it gold” which can go either way. This one goes right. The warm gold and white palette against the Star Guardian magical girl aesthetic creates something that feels luxurious without being gaudy. Picked it up when it was available in November 2020 and it has been my default Soraka skin for support games since.

Gold-tinted star magic on support abilities

The model takes the Star Guardian Soraka design and wraps it in prestige gold. White and gold robes, golden star details, a warm glow that radiates from the model. Sanhua Chen and Kudos Productions handled the splash. The Star Guardian familiars get golden makeovers too which is a nice detail.

Starcall on Q drops stars with golden particle effects. The heal-over-time zone when Q lands has a warm golden pulse instead of the standard green. Astral Infusion on W heals allies with golden star energy. The heal projectile is visually distinct and I think reads slightly better in chaotic teamfights than the base Star Guardian version because the gold stands out against most backgrounds.

Equinox on E places a golden zone of silence. The root proc when enemies stand in it too long activates with a golden starburst. Wish on R heals the entire team globally with a golden cascade effect. Using R to save a teammate across the map with Prestige Star Guardian Soraka sends this warm golden wave over everyone. My ADC said “the heal looked expensive” once after a clutch R save. Not wrong.

No new voice lines since this is a Prestige/Mythic variant of the base Star Guardian skin. Lisa Lindsley’s Star Guardian Soraka voice applies. Custom recall with enhanced golden VFX on the Star Guardian transformation sequence. The recall has Soraka doing the magical girl transformation pose with golden star particles cascading around her. Could be wrong here but I think this might be one of the cleanest recall animations in the entire Prestige catalog. Looks premium without being over the top.

Mythic availability and Star Guardian context

Prestige Star Guardian Soraka is Mythic tier with Special pricing. Originally released November 24, 2020 through an event pass. Part of the Star Guardian Season 2 skinline. No chromas. Available through Mythic shop rotation. The original event pass acquisition window is long gone so Mythic Essence is your current path.

Worth chasing for Soraka support players

Soraka has Dawnbringer and Nightbringer at Legendary tier, Faerie Court at Epic, and the standard Star Guardian. Prestige Star Guardian sits in a unique spot because it is essentially a premium version of an already good skin. If you already own and like Star Guardian Soraka, the Prestige edition is a meaningful upgrade in visual polish. If you dont own either, the base Star Guardian at Epic pricing might be the smarter buy.

For dedicated Soraka mains who want the gold treatment and have the Mythic Essence to spend, this is a satisfying pickup. The W heal and R global heal effects in gold look premium in a way that most Prestige skins dont quite achieve. Not essential but genuinely nice to own. Had this in rotation for maybe 80 support games across season 13 and 14 and the golden W heal on your ADC in lane just feels right. There is something about spamming heals in a bot lane trade and seeing golden stars fly between you and your carry that makes the lane feel more coordinated even if it isnt. (random aside: my ADC duo literally said he plays better when I use this skin because the heals are more visible and he tracks his HP better, placebo or not I will take it) Took this into ranked last Thursday around 1 AM and saved our Jinx with a cross-map R that turned a 2v3 into a double kill for her. Golden cascade across the whole screen. Top pick for Soraka mains who want something that feels elevated without losing the Star Guardian identity.
